I read with interest, the latest fund raising newsletter received from the DNC. While I am a loyal democrat, and always plan on being so, I am concerned with a continuing focus on partisan differences. President Obama did not win the election by re-working 20th Century political rhetoric, and I don't believe the DNC should either. We should admit that in the past, democrats have spent too much on top-heavy bureaucracies, which created large federal programs that did not work. What we need America to see is that what President Obama is doing is something completely different. Yes we are spending a lot of taxpayer dollars, but we are doing so in a new and different way. The money is going where it is needed, and average Americans will reap the benefit, not bureaucrats. In addition, this administration is doing everything in the open, with transparency and measured outcomes. If a particular program isn't meeting its outcome goals, it will be scrapped. Accountability is built into all of this, and THAT is what American needs to know. 21st Century politics have arrived in America, and Americans need to see President Obabma's action as something that has never been attempted before in the history of American politics! Partisan rhetoric has no place in this scheme, and I for one, would like to see it end here and now.
