Welcome Governor Kaine. I was glad to hear President-Elect Obama say that the 50 State Strategy is sill a priority. I'm sure you agree as it proved so successful in Virginia in 2006 and 2008.

It will be good to have another Governor as our Party Leader.

Good Luck to you, Gov. Kaine. I hope you keep up the good work that Doctor Dean got rolling. I truly believe we would not have won in 2006 and 2008 without him.

Just can I ask you one question. I understand money is at issue there, but is it possible to take some money and put it into the DNC blog . Not the Party Builder, but the regular KA blog.

You have many, many people checking here, and they are potential donors. You have to understand the value of a good blog to draw people and money to you.

Thank you..........

This is not a question.I have recently started a small business and I am having a problem and I suspect my problem may be a contributing factor to America's Economic decline.I sent this to the Postmaser General,The Commerce Dept and everywhere I could think of.
I am a simple small business owner and I am very dissapointed in a change in the Postal Shipping regulations that has recently destroyed any chance of me having a small export business. I have a small business and I sell classical guitars. Some are domestic and some are imported. Whenever the dollar drops against a foreign currency I usually get some international sales. In the past I would just ship them from my local Post Office.Today, I still receive all my guitars via the USPS and they are dropped of at my door from various foreign guitar makers by the USPS. Sadly,I cannot ship the same size package that the Post office delivers to me from international destinations in the opposite direction anymore. It used to cost roughly 100-200 usd to ship to any destination in the world for me however, since the USPS has decreased the maximum international package for export size the other commercial carriers have taken advantage to the greed point and have priced the service out of the market and essentially destroyed my international sales. I have no doubt I am not alone.Example USPS and Fed ex wants 800 usd to ship a guitar to Brazil and DHL wanted 679.I can fly on a plane and hand deliver it for less!!Even a small business account would only knock off 25%. This same guitar if they had not changes the maximum package size at USPS would have been around 95 -135 dollars at the Post office. Now, sadly, If I bought a guitar from Brazil it will still be happily delivered to my door by my local USPS deliverer for 95 -135 dollars. What is up with that???What Fed Ex and UPS has done is nothing more than price gouging and myself and probably many other small businesses probably have written off international selling. Do you think this is in the best Interest of the Citizens of the United States of America in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression???I apologize if this is embarrasing but it is what it is. I should be entitled to the same level of service as foreign companies and the US government should protect its citizens from unfair trade practices.I do not beIieve this is a coincidence. I should not have my small attempts to make a living be blocked by greedy commercial carriers who are essentially damaging small business.I have no doubt that this is the result of some special interest payoff. If the commercial carriers will not provide realistic shipping rates to small business please increase the maximum international shipping size at the USPS. 800-1000 dollars to ship a box is not only rediculous it is damaging to the US economy. How many other small business have found themselves in the same predicament??? Just plain and simple this is just not right!!!
