The Democratic National Committee today released a new web ad “Survivor: GOP” highlighting the continued disunity and infighting among Republican leaders over control of the party. Even as the GOP attempts to rebuild, they continue to be stymied by internal squabbles over who should lead the party and in what direction. Watch;
Gee, they forgot Joe the Plumber. Actually about 20 or 30 people is the entire Republican party isn't it?
Shucks, they could put the whole party on an island, and then we could get things done without all the noise and elephant poop going out over the TV.
It's interesting to note that the youngest competing in this competition is Cantor and he acts older than all of the rest of them. Entering this competition might be the only way Limbaugh could ever re-gain his boyish figure?
McCain's daughter, who has acknowledged publicly to the Log Cabin Republicans that one needs some sort of genuine talent in life and empathy towards others to win in "The Real World," isn't being allowed to audition...or even wants to?
The Republican Party is more of a soap opera than a reality show these days. Their most important survival skill appears to be not pissing off Rush and apologizing to him when they accidentally tell the truth.
I suppose the final task would be seeing who could kill off the most endangered animals....coming down to a fight between Cheney and his blunderbuss and Palin and her AK-47?
But don't ever underestimate Rove. Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast has always been his winning strategy. I take all these Wing Nuts seriously even when they are acting suicidal by polluting the very island they’re marooned on.
A pretty funny ad, but I feel it's divisive. Don't we have enough anger circulating around the 2 parties? This ad can only serve to anger the Republicans even more so that they try harder to make "Obama fail." I think it's very counterproductive.

it was slightly amusing Jonah, but follow the Republican playbook? I thought that we were the party of change! We had plenty of this during the campaign. We are above that aren't we?
There are people who are watching the Party of NO, the obstruction, the circling of their wagons right now to Fight a Supreme Court nominee WHO HASN'T EVEN BEEN NAMED YET, and think this ad is divisive?
For Far too many years, the Democrats have sat back and played "Nice guy". Tried to reach across the aisle only to have their faces slapped. Sat as they were humiliated with Republican Senators coming out of sessions to stand in front of TV cameras and be belittled.
Watched as actions were distorted by the Right wing media and the Republicans.
It is TIME we point out to that last 21% who are blinded by their ideology, that the Republican Party stands for all that is bad in this country!
I LOVE the ad. Let's try and get it in Prime Time TV ! Look at that motley crew of wannabe leaders! Not an ethic between them.
now if the tables were turned, and we were the shrinking party and the Reps had this ad... wouldn't we be crying and moaning over it?
it still is the same tit for tat politics funny or not! We would expect the Republicans to smash our faces in it of course; but they are hypocrites! why be just like them?
STOP!! STOP this petty BS!! Focus on the things you promised you would focus on during the campaigns. You are turning people off with things like this. I'm sick and tired of getting emails about videos, bus tickets for Cheney and billboards for Rush fat-drug addict Limbaugh.
Who is the captain of this ship? We were promised smart spending and elimination of waste. Focus on education and health care and what do we get? Emails asking us to send contributions so you can buy a billboard in West Palm Beach?
You are losing focus and it's going to cost all of us greatly. We won, use this time to look like a winner, act like you've been there before. Poor leadership is what has sunk the GOP and I fear that we will squander this great opportunity because people like Jen O'Malley are not offering anything better.
PLEASE, PLEASE focus on what is important, not petty crap like this.
Democrats seemed sort of scared of their shadow for several years-it is nice to see a backbone and order to the party. I love the ad-it made me chuckle and got across a point at the same time. Well done.
I'm damn amused and pleased with this ad. There is absolutely nothing wrong with poking a little fun at the people who called me a baby killer because I'm pro-choice or support stem cell research. All in all they have been pretty damn rotten with the name calling and accusations similar to those of the McCarthy era in regards to patriotism for way too many years. I don't want to go back to that ever! That means that we need to take them down a notch on the egometer now before they get nasty and knock us out -- as they wish to do lest you forget.
So, we poke a bit of fun and people are saying that we're divisive? Get real.
