The live feed has ended.

President Obama was joined today by the heads of ten auto makers, leaders of the United Auto Workers, members of Congress and Governors to announce new emission and efficiency standards. Similar to his approach on health care reform he has successfully brought together the stakeholders from all sides of the issues for the benefit of Americans. You can hear more about both of these initiatives in his weekly address from this past Saturday.

Imagine if President Gore could have done this eight years ago.

We have so much ground to make up...but we are getting there. This President has his eyes on the future and is going to bring the country along with him.

Not only is the president dead serious about this, but this man, who seems to be able to unite so many sides on one side, is going after this with he same fervor he has about health care. Bush wouldn't reach out to all sides if his life depended on it. Obama listens to all people. All sides before he makes a decision. This includes battle field commanders in the Middle East. And yes, I agree. If Americas "REAL ELECTED" President Al Gore could have been given a chance. We would have high MPG vehicles right now.
