The Party of No is trying to find relevance in the minority by pushing back on the President and Congress's reform. Today they released their alternative Health Care plan with one glaring omission; details. via Roll Call;
House Republicans presented a four-page outline of their health care reform plan Wednesday but said they didn’t know yet how much it would cost, how they would pay for it and how many of the nearly 50 million Americans without insurance would be covered by it.
If this sounds like a familiar narrative from the Republican party it is because they also released an "alternative" budget proposal not too long ago, that contained NO numbers;
No costs attached to their plan means the plan is to do nothing.
The GOP will just let the insurance companies, big pharma, and suppliers charge whatever they want and let consumers come up with some way to pay for it with bigger premiums, co-pays, and deductibles...providing they have a job, their employer offers a health benefit, or they have no pre-existing condition.
It's the same old system that has seen costs skyrocket in the last decade with double digit yearly increases and more services being rationed if not outright denied.
Essentially the Republicans think we are whiners and this is the greatest health care system...if you are rich or a politician with the single- payer, public option they would deny us.
It's time that this benefit was dropped for all elected public officials. They don't deserve single-payer or any choice...they are part-time, temporary employees at best. Let these GOP officials see what kind of insurance they can get as an individual without a group option.
Procrastination and protecting the status quo is their plan.
