Good morning, DEMS!

Jonah, the picture isn't working.
Bad Flickr, bad, bad Flickr.
Good morning, everyone.
DPD,
I'd like to see some pictures of Democratic Governors and House/Senate Chairmen working with others. Let's put a face on those that are working hard around Washington and the country to fix the problems that the GOP created.
Maybe Cloe could do a series of Profiles in Courage about the challenges being faced by the American people and how our leadership is attacking those problems out on Mainstreet? What are the projects being created with the stimulus and who is overseeing them?
President Obama certainly has a terrific smile, but he's not the only attractive Democrat. Please show us the rest of the family, too. Put a face on our agenda?
Thanks, Jonah.
Hi, Peaceman.
The Republicans were under so much pressure in 1993 that they screwed up royally in their marriages and in handling the economy? It was the fault of the office not themselves?
The pressure made them make gigantic mistakes like outsourcing our entire manufacturing and IT industries? Deregulating the banks so they would fail?
The Heritage Foundation is working overtime spewing out this garbage...still neglecting to admit the irony of the Clinton impeachment considering all the affairs their GOP candidates had with staff.
One for the road...
House of Pain: GOP's Class of '94

The sex scandals that have tarnished Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) and Gov. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.) don’t appear to have much in common. Yet there is one thread that binds them together: Both Ensign and Sanford were members of the famed Republican House class of 1994, as well as its latest casualties.
As it turns out, the pressures and demands of political life have inflicted devastating damage not only on the Ensign and Sanford families, but on the families of many of the 71 other freshmen who formed the vanguard of the Republican Revolution.
In the 14 years since that star-crossed class arrived in Washington espousing an agenda that placed family values at its core, no less than a dozen of its members have been caught up in affairs, sex scandals or in messy separations and divorces from their spouses that, in more than a few instances, led to their political downfalls...
Then-newly installed House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who later got divorced for a second time in 2000, even warned as much. And Gingrich pledged to do something about it, setting up a bipartisan task force, the Family Quality of Life Advisory Committee, to rethink the congressional work-life balance...

That's like putting an addict in charge of the rehab for all the rest. Newt was about as much a spiritual adviser in 1993 as Limbaugh is today.
There have always been pressures and challenges for those who go into public service. Why did it become such a problem for these socially conservatives who supposedly were so in tune with the "sanctity of marriage"?
Why did graft and greed become such a rambid problem in the ensuing years?
Were any of these people really the family values conservatives said they were? After all, a lot of them were voted into office as "stealth" candidates who cleverly disguised their real agenda until they were elected.
Let us never forget that these freshman legislators stood on the steps of the House with Newt to deliver their Contract with America...after the election. During the campaign most of them left the (R) after their names on political literature and yard signs.
They pretended to be something they weren't.
And it turns out that their biggest lie was that they were ever competent for office and anything but corrupt.
The "star-cross class" of 1993 is still "crossing the line."

Good afternoon fellow Americans. Good morning to the left coast.
afternoon Dems......
Looks like the Dems are getting ready for the Fourth of July Festivities today! I have done a lot of running around myself.

US: American soldier captured in Afghanistan7 hours ago
KABUL (AP) — US military spokeswoman says insurgents have captured an American soldier in eastern Afghanistan.
Capt. Elizabeth Mathias said the soldier has been missing since Tuesday. She said she could not provide further information.
Mathias said the military was using "all our resources to find him and provide for his safe return."
The soldier was not taking part in the major military operation launched in the southern Taliban stronghold of Helmand early Thursday.

I'm sure we wish all of armed services the best of luck in finding this lost soul and bringing his captors to justice. Whomever has him had better let him go.
Sorry, I had to run over to a neighbor's to wait for the A/C guy to come and install a new unit.

Sandy, President Obama's Cabinet is doing just that this Summer.
President Obama Announces Rural Tour with Cabinet Secretaries and Administration Officials
I still think my idea for a Stimulus AND National Security & safety plan is doable:
Move all the red tape functionaries out of D.C. and have them permanently relocated to dying Rust Belt cities. The top people can stay in D.C., but there isn't a need for all the number crunchers and paper shufflers to have to live there.
Rules could be set up such as the Offices MUST be located in the central city core of dying or dead metropolitan ares, a set percentage of the workers must come from within 50 miles of the office, different Departments should be distributed around the country and more or less tailored for the location such as Labor in Detroit, FEMA in Memphis, Interior in Butte, Transportation in St. Louis, Education in Cleveland, etc. Treasury, State and Defense would need to remain in D.C., but I don't see any reason that the rest of the Government has to be concentrated in a tight little target.
When feasible the offices should be put into retrofitted existing buildings and upgraded to LEED standards. They should NEVER be put in suburban office parks. DOWNTOWN ONLY!
I'm SURE those towns could use a bunch of educated workers with a government paycheck moving into the area. Instant urban renewal, jobs for the job hungry areas, real estate rentals and sales up,
Marines Deploy on Major Mission Thousands Fan Out in Afghanistan's South in Crucial Test for Revised U.S. Strategy
By Rajiv Chandrasekaran
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, July 2, 2009
CAMP LEATHERNECK, Afghanistan, July 2 -- Thousands of U.S. Marines descended upon the volatile Helmand River valley in helicopters and armored convoys early Thursday, mounting an operation that represents the first large-scale test of the U.S. military's new counterinsurgency strategy in Afghanistan.
The operation will involve about 4,000 troops from the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, which was dispatched to Afghanistan this year by President Obama to combat a growing Taliban insurgency in Helmand and other southern provinces. The Marines, along with an Army brigade that is scheduled to arrive later this summer, plan to push into pockets of the country where NATO forces have not had a presence. In many of those areas, the Taliban has evicted local police and government officials and taken power.
Once Marine units arrive in their designated towns and villages, they have been instructed to build and live in small outposts among the local population. The brigade's commander, Brig. Gen. Lawrence D. Nicholson, said his Marines will focus their efforts on protecting civilians from the Taliban and on restoring Afghan government services, instead of mounting a series of hunt-and-kill missions against the insurgents.
"We're doing this very differently," Nicholson said to his senior officers a few hours before the mission began. "We're going to be with the people. We're not going to drive to work. We're going to walk to work."
Similar approaches have been tried in the eastern part of the country, but none has had the scope of the mission in Helmand, a vast province that is largely an arid moonscape save for a band of fertile land that lines the Helmand River. Poppies grown in that territory produce half the world's supply of opium and provide the Taliban with a valuable source of income...

Semper Fi! Good hunting to the Marines on their endeavor to secure Helmand. The quicker we get this messed fixed in Afghanistan and kill Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, the better.

Hi, Bob.
I heard on MSNBC that the military does not want to send a lot of American troops into Afghanistan but rather concentrate on targeted missions with compact forces. That sounds like smart strategic planning, imho. We are fighting nomads not an army.
There were so many things wrong with the Iraqi War, but the worst mistake had to be occupying the country with large numbers of troops without a true mission. But then Cheney's only goals were war profiteering, capturing the oil fields, and providing Bush with a war president platform from which to run for re-election in 2004.
It was a publicity and money making mission. That's got to be the most craven reason to put our military men and women into harm's way ever.
The Republicans politicalized everything within our government during those eight years including the arm forces. That's incompetence and corruption at its worst.
later.
SandyH on July 2, 2009 at 03:25 PM
I agree wholeheartedly, Sandy. President Bush 43 and VP Cheney have been exposed for what they exactly are, war profiteers, and 4300 soldiers lost their life behind it. I trust GEN Petraeus to get a handle on the Afghanistan campaign. Hopefully, we can be out by the end of President Obama's first term.

Mile wide UFO seen by British pilotsTuesday, 30 June 2009
(MINA)One of the largest UFOs ever seen has been observed by the crew and passengers of an airliner over the Channel Islands.
An official air-miss report on the incident several weeks ago appears in Pilot magazine.Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted the object, described as "a cigar-shaped brilliant white light".
Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, described what he thought to be a UFO as 'a cigar-shaped brilliant white light', similar to the image supplied by Dennis Plunket of the British Flying Saucer bureau.
As the plane got closer the captain viewed it through binoculars and said: "It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area.
"It was 2,000ft up and stationary. I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realised it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it was the size of a [Boeing] 737.
"But it must have been much bigger because of how far away it was. It could have been as much as a mile wide."
Continuing his approach to Guernsey, Bowyer then spied a "second identical object further to the west".
He said: "It was exactly the same but looked smaller because it was further away. It was closer to Guernsey. I can't explain it. This was clearly visual for about nine minutes.
"I'm certainly not saying that it was something of another world. All I'm saying is that I have never seen anything like it before in all my years of flying."
The sightings were confirmed by passengers Kate and John Russell. John, 74, said: "I saw an orange light. It was like an elongated oval."
The sightings were also confirmed by an unnamed pilot with the Blue Islands airline.
The Civil Aviation Authority safety notice states that a Tri-Lander aircraft flying close to Alderney spotted the object."Certain parts of the report have not been published. I cannot say why," said a senior CAA source.
The UK MOD has opened its UFO files to the public, but which files is another question.
http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/7334/56/
While I'd like to believe that these alleged UFO's were extraterrestial and peaceful, there is one question to be answered. Why didn't someone get a picture of it? The picture on the website was supplied by the British version of MUFON. Furthermore, with two one-mile long objects hovering over the U.K., one would think the Brits would be scrambling some interceptors to have a look. After all, these alleged craft were observed for about nine minutes according to the article.
Extraordinary claims requier extraordinary proof. This ain't it, yet.
Bob,
Re that US soldier captured by the Taliban, if there is evidence that he is being tortured, I do not want to hear one single one of those US Torture apologists say one single word ! THAT is what US torture breeds and why we should never have gotten involved in this dirty illegal tactic.
Salamander Discovery Could Lead to Human Limb RegenerationBy tracking individual cells in genetically modified salamanders, researchers have found an unexpected explanation for their seemingly magical ability to regrow lost limbs.
Rather than having their cellular clocks fully reset and reverting to an embryonic state, cells in the salamanders’ stumps became slightly less mature versions of the cells they’d been before. The findings could inspire research into human tissue regeneration.
“The cells don’t have to step as far back as we thought they had to, in order to regenerate a complicated thing like a limb,” said study co-author Elly Tanaka, a Max Planck Institute cell biologist. “There’s a higher chance that human or mammalian cells can be induced into doing the same thing.”
Thinkers from Aristotle to Voltaire and Charles Darwin have been fascinated by salamander regeneration, though they barely understood it. (Aristotle even confused salamanders with snakes, attributing to the latter the power of growing new eyes.) But only in the last few decades have scientists been able to study the phenomenon at high resolution.
They found that salamander regeneration begins when a clump of cells called a blastema forms at the tip of a lost limb. From the blastema come skin, muscle, bone, blood vessels and neurons, ultimately growing into a limb virtually identical to the old one.
Researchers, many of whom hoped their findings could someday be used to heal people, hypothesized that as cells joined blastemas, they “de-differentiated” and became pluripotent — able to become any type of tissue. Embryonic stem cells are also pluripotent, as are cells that have been genetically reprogrammed through a process called induced pluripotency.
Such cells have raised hopes of replacing lost or diseased tissue. They’re also difficult to control and prone to turning cancerous. These problems may well be the inevitable growing pains of early-stage research, but could also represent more fundamental limits in cellular plasticity...

If this can be perfected then our guys coming home all shot up due to the previous administration's war profiteering can be helped. I would hope that our government would fully fund this research to its conclusion. This is the future.

That would be wonderful if this were to happen, Bob.
I cannot look at those photos of US soldiers with no legs, or arms, or half their brains shot off without feeling guilt----that we were not able to do more to stop that Illegal Invasion before Bush got away with it ! I jumped on MoveOn's Anti War campaign right away, went to candlelight protests, sent money, wrote letters, but nothing worked! What a crime !

PamB on July 2, 2009 at 04:38 PM
If that technique was perfected enough to be used on humans the Pugs would have a fit because some company that makes artificial legs would lose business, and I'm sure Cheney would own a large piece of it so he can make even more money off his illegal war and occupation. He's already getting a cut for every body bag used.
Then they would say that the treatment can't be performed because the missing limb is a pre-existing condition.
PamB on July 2, 2009 at 04:12 PM
Regardless of the U.S. position on torture, Al-Qaeda would torture the captured soldier. Every soldier knows that. Al-Qaeda is just that nasty.
But I agree with you, we don't have to stoop to the level of Al-Qaeda as the chickenhawks of the Bush 43 Adminstration did. We are better than that. We are Americans. Those who adovcate torture are only imitating Americans.
Hi Doo Bee, You are probably right !
I am watching these idiot Republicans coming out about how we cannot afford Health Care being proposed . YET, these same chicken hawk scumbags, sat there for the 6 years that Bush/Cheney drove up Trillions of dollars in an illegal war that was SHOWN to be nothing but lies, and rubber stamped every freaken dollar of that money put on a Chinese Credit Card ! The American Public hopefully is watching, and remembering that little expense brought to us by our Republican Pols !

Howdy Pam. Remember a few weeks ago when the Pugs were SCREAMING (except for Boner, who was crying as usual) that the Public Option would cost "A TRILLION DOLLARS!!!1!" Then every time they repeated that original lie it kept growing until it was "OVER 1.6 TRILLION DOLLARS!!11!!11" Even though the data they were lying about clearly was labeled "preliminary, for research purposes only" and never included the Public Option n it?
Well guess what? THE PUGS WERE WRONG ONCE AGAIN.

McCain Suddenly Loves Iranians, After Promising to Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran: BuzzFlash's GOP Hypocrite of the Week Award
McCain has been wasting all his available breath lately arguing that the U.S. needs to be on the "right side of history" on Iran, without taking note of what side he's been on in the long history of U.S.-Iranian relations. After it became clear that the recent presidential elections in Iran were fraudulent, McCain suggested that President Obama be more forceful in his condemnation of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and align the U.S. with the protesters in Tehran.
But anyone with a mere cursory understanding of U.S.-Iranian relations could tell you that is selfish posturing. Ahmadinejad wouldn't waste a minute in using Obama's words against the protesters, labeling the movement as a foreign incursion from the devilish America. As BuzzFlash editor Mark Karlin wrote, Obama is between the Shah and a hard place.
After insisting that "we must be a symbol of hope for the Iranian people" and getting all weepy on the Senate floor about the murdered Iranian protester called Neda, it's understandable that one might forget about McCain's more distant comments about the people of Iran.
Allow us to remind you of a couple of them. He's repeatedly argued that we bomb the nation back to the Stone Age. He's suggested that our exportation of cigarettes to Iran could develop into a useful tool for killing off the population there.
Now McCain wants Iranians to rise up against their oppressors. Maybe he hopes the Iranian government will crack down even harder than they've already done?
Johne on July 2, 2009 at 06:02 PM

Limbaugh is now telling us that the country rises and falls with the fate of Michael Jackson instead of General Motors? Who would have thought that Rush is a member of the cult of celebrity?

Sanford's mental state questioned
By NOELLE PHILLIPS
The State
Jul. 02, 2009
Gov. Mark Sanford is acting like a love-struck teenager.
Or, maybe he has a deeper personality disorder, some experts speculate.
As the saga of Sanford and his Argentine lover continues, the public, the governor’s political rivals and some allies are speculating about the governor’s mental stability and whether he’s able to lead the state.
While mental health experts are reluctant to pin a diagnosis on the governor, their observations of his behavior suggest a chemical imbalance, narcissism and impulsive behavior.
http://www.thestate.com/sanford/story/849427.html
I vote for narcissism.
Sanford isn't any more crazy than your average Republican. He's crazy like a fox and thinks he can continue to manipulate his wife in the same way he's manipulated conservative voters and the media in the past.
It's always about the conservative male.
Our military was weakened and our entire economic system brought down by conservative males with the same narcasstic attitude as their party leader, Boss Limbaugh. They treat the women in their lives and the entire middle class and working poor as toys that they use and throw away.
But I'm just preaching to the choir here. I'm going to leave off on stating the obvious.
I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. We restored sanity and dignity to the country last November. This July 4th is going to be a special one. I do believe most of us will be crying tears of joy as the flag passes by in parades in all corners of the nation. Next year will be even more special.
The economy and jobs picture will improve with time and our troops will come back home from Iraq by next year. It's actually going to happen...not 100 years from now. We are going to create jobs in this country again and make the stock markets, banking, and trade imbalance fair again for our citizens. The sick will be treated with dignity again.
We are going to look out for one another. The long nightmare is ending...slowly...but the country is going in the right direction again. That's what all our electorate wanted.
Catch you all later.
Good night, everyone.

Bloomberg slams Sessions' "baseless" attack on S'mayor
Sonia Sotomayor's most aggressive defender is turning out to be New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg -- who is accusing the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee of "baseless personal attacks" against the Bronx native.
The Dem-turned-Republican-turned-Indie mayor, seeking a third term in a city where Nuyorican voters make up a key Democratic bloc, is ripping the SCOTUS nominee's Senate critics (especially Jeff Sessions, though not by name).
At issue: Sessions' obsession with S'mayor's work for the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, a mainstream Hispanic rights group with whom the nominee was associated from 1980-1992.
Sessions, who is demanding thousands of documents pertaining to Sotomayor's pro bono work for the organization, has accused PRLDEF of adopting "extreme" positions on affirmative action. He's also echoed other judicial conservatives in questioning the group's connections to the FALN, a Puerto Rican nationalist organization implicated in acts of terrorism in the 1970s.
B'berg's statement:
“It is disappointing but not surprising that another Supreme Court nominee is facing baseless personal attacks. Only in Washington could someone’s many years of volunteer service to a highly regarded nonprofit organization that has done so much good for so many be twisted into a negative. The Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund is a respected civil rights organization, and while we have not always agreed on every issue, the group has made countless important contributions to New York City.
“When I discussed Judge Sotomayor with President Obama in the Oval Office and gave her my enthusiastic recommendation, I knew that some would try to play politics and engage in guilt-by-association attacks. It is my hope that Senators consider her based on her own record and her own words, not the words of others.”

Why are Palin, Perry and Jindal refusing to talk to Biden about the stimulus?
In a new article, Time’s Michael Scherer describes how Vice President Biden has been aggressively reaching out to mayors on the their use of stimulus money. “My rear end is on the line just like yours,” said Biden on a recent conference call with five mayors and county executives. “I’m the guy in charge of this deal. So if this doesn’t work, it’s me.” In a follow-up blog post, Scherer reveals that Biden has talked to “dozens of mayors and 47 of the 50 state governors about the Recovery Act”:
One interesting fact that didn’t make it into the story. Since March, Biden has talked, usually in conference calls, to dozens of mayors and 47 of the 50 state governors about the Recovery Act. The three governors who have not yet been on the line, though they have been invited: Alaska’s Sarah Palin, Texas’ Rick Perry and Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal. You can draw your own conclusions.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might" Ecclesiastes 9:10
David was a man of excellence. The Bible tells us that David played his harp “skillfully.” He didn’t just play it, he played it with excellence. When he slung the stone that defeated Goliath, it wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t just a lucky break. David had practiced the slingshot year after year out in the shepherd’s fields. He was extremely talented with that slingshot. Some experts say he could hit a small bull’s eye more than 100 feet away!
In the same way, if we want to see God’s hand of promotion, we need to live excellently. In this day and age, if you’re not growing, then you’re at a disadvantage. If you’re at the same skill level this year as you were five years ago, then you are falling behind. It’s time to step it up a notch. Whatever you are doing, do it with all your might! Don’t get complacent. Keep growing; keep learning; keep improving. As you do your best to live excellently, God will bless the fruit of your labor. He’ll pour out His “super” on your natural and cause you to rise up higher into the life of victory He has in store for you!
isn't it so funny, all they have to criticize our new President about, is his ears???? hahahahahaha. All they got! Pathetic, really pathetic!

hiya, bold & gg. we're doing great here. I'm enjoying some quiet time before Miss Lily and my Necee come over for a "helping clean/weed the gardens" visit.
Our tiny hamlet had it's festival & parade last weekend, so no 4th of July activities here this weekend. We'll go up to the hill we got married on to watch fireworks they set off at Seneca Lake tomorrow night. Ohio Hills Folk Festival next weekend.
"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven" Matthew 5:16
Plenty to do on this most beautiful Friday morning.
Enjoy the day, everyone.
Good morning, all.
I voted for narcissism as the reason for Sanford's destructive behavior (and Bush, Cheney, and even Bill Nelson) and I was right. Here's the proof:
Meet Gov. Sanford's other Family
There was a cryptic moment in the emotional press conference South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford held last week to apologize for committing adultery.
"C Street," Sanford said, is where men face "hard questions."
... the Republican governor and former congressman said that he had been to "what we called 'C Street' when I was in Washington."
Sanford was referring to the address of the Washington headquarters for The Family -- perhaps the most politically powerful religious group in Washington. Sponsor of the annual National Prayer Breakfast that draws leading U.S. politicians, the secretive Christian organization also known as The Fellowship was founded in Seattle in 1935 by Abraham Vereide, a Norwegian immigrant and itinerant preacher who worked with the city's poor and feared the pull of socialism.
He claimed that God appeared to him to warn that Christianity's preoccupation with the poor and weak was misguided, so Vereide began to minister to the powerful. He organized prayer breakfasts for political and business leaders to promote anti-Communism and anti-unionism, and the group later went on to work with dictators in Africa, Asia and Latin America...
…The members also refer to themselves as the "new chosen people," believing that the Jews broke their covenant with God...
That's actually one of the sort of core parables of The Family that I encountered, and describe this experience with David Coe, the son of Doug Coe, the leader, came around and gave us this long lesson. He says, 'What made King David great?' And the men I was with are all trying to say, 'Well, he loved God,' all this. He [says], 'No, No, that's not it. King David was a terrible man. You know, he was an adulterer and a murderer. So why is he a hero of the Bible?' And the answer is because God chose him. King David is beyond morality, in their limited understanding of scripture. ... I could almost hear Doug Coe's voice when Gov. Sanford was saying, 'I need to keep governing, because I'm like King David.'...

Why am I not at all surprised that these Republicans and even some Blue Dog social conservatives base all their religious/political ideology on anti-Semite feelings? They can treat women, gays, and people of color like garbage, too, because it’s their right?
This feeling of superiority is obviously the basis of their compulsion to punish the poor and middle class (unions/outsourcing/illegal alien hiring) as well? WE are "the chosen ones" and must subject the rest of the world to our greatness?
No wonder they have caused so much trouble for our economy, as well as started needless wars in the Middle East, Africa. and South America. George W. Bush (with a little help from the Rehnquist Court and that snake in the grass Cheney) played the role of The Chosen One to a T.
The fundies are clearly wise to be fearful of the Mormons. Romney comes from another group that thinks they are the Chosen Ones. Gosh, you can’t keep track of all the lunacy out their on the Far Right. They can’t figure out who is the most deserving.
They're all a bunch of narcissist conservative white male supremacists....just like Todd Palin.
That's what the Republican Party has always been and now they have their religious nut cases out front everyday publicly proving it. What was Hillary Clinton doing consorting with this group? Was she doing spy work or research on how to pick up fundie votes?
The three governors who have not yet been on the line, though they have been invited: Alaska’s Sarah Palin, Texas’ Rick Perry and Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal. You can draw your own conclusions.
Think Progress......

Pam,
My guess is that they are too stupid to understand that the economy is in trouble or that they can't figure out the technology used in teleconferencing...probably the later.
First Jesus and now King David? Why are the Far Right extremists treating religious figures as drive-by shooting victims?
Ah, they were both Jews. Bingo.
Gotta run. later.
P.S. Essie, why did your city have it's 4th of July celebration a week early? Is there something the rest of us are missing here? I hope it's not going to be the end of the world or something. I personally love a parade...was a drum majorette.
Bye.
He's a helluva public speaker off teleprompter as well. Good thing he has a talented team of writers putting words into his mouth or he'd really look the fool more than he does now.

oh yeah, we notice how when President Obama has a news conference, the answers automatically appear on the "prompter." w couldn't string two words together let alone make sense.
