Posted by cloe on July 13, 2009 at 10:45 AM

DNC Chairman Tim Kaine released a web video last night about Sonia Sotomayor’s historic nomination to the Supreme Court. In the video, Kaine talks about Sotomayor’s background and qualifications, calls on the Senate to give the Judge a reasonable, fair and gracious process, and invites people show their support for Sotomayor by visiting the online action center.

Watch the video in English below, and here’s a link to the video in Spanish.

I wish Judge Sotomayer the best of wishes as she goes into the viper pit Senator Sessions has publicly said he has set up for her going into these hearings. Why these conservative men can't treat women like themselves is beyond me.

I guess it's because they know that most women candidates have to be twice as qualified to be even considered for most public jobs. And then there is the problem that a lot of these older Southern Senators reached office by flaming the fires of discrimination. They have to keep up appearances for the bigots?

And why is it always conservative men who make fools of themselves in these hearings? Well, we all know Judge Sotomayer has dealt with a lot more difficult situations in her life. She has the poise and grace to handle any hostile politician and stare him down.

The times are changing but some conservatives cling to their illusions and prejudices. Their time and influence is coming to an end but they are fighting it hard.

I do not care if the candidate is a woman, and Latino, what are her Constitutional roots to the Constitution. How does she approach the "At Will" Executive Privilege approach to John Yoo? The hell with the exterior, I want to know the interior of how she feels about the White House legislating from the White House Supreme Court Commander bench of Military Tribunal Scales of Justice? Damn how does she feel about Guantanamo, Patriot Act, and Human Rights to due process? What is her views on Civil Liberties, and warrant less intrusion and CorPolitical eminent domains of our homes Freedom and Democracy? Is she a Tory royalist, or a Whig "We the people." Who cares she have Puerto Rican heritage, I want to know her Constitutional heritage, does she believe in the trilogy of Checks and Balances Concrete Accounting to Cheney's action, or are tory Politicians above the law as a select fraternity, I would say she is pro birth and anti death sentence, done only in extreme cases, but to say pro life will be a pull. I say she is a string iron fist Republic supporter against states right of Pro Choice rule of law.

The thing is that the Ivy Colleges have been taught the John Yoo rule of law, similar to what is used in Red China's Lady Liberty. I am afraid she is a Patriot Act!!!!

So sad that "We the people" are banned from asking her questions that the Tory Fraternities of mostly college required Country Club members bully their choice without civilian legal scholars and lawyers asking those questions paramount to America Scales of Justice. Like many they will look away, while America slips into the Dark Ages of Inquisitions of Cheney examples of secrecy that say Americans do not have the right to know the Truth. That those that dare question the Patriot Act President, Totalitarian Vice Presidents can issue John Yoo edicts legislating from the White House autocratic rule. If not corrected, we will find our own Holocaust Judeo-Christianity in the Blackwaters. R.I.P. Lady Liberty Katrina's fury cane has left you as a Tienanmen crushed bulldozed over Premier image.

So strange like in Iraq, that the President selects those that give them dictatorial power. Nobody has asked the Constitutional Scholars and Lawyers of Ben Franklin's words that in securing National Security that we may lose both Security and Liberty. Thank God there was no Supreme Court to our Founding Fathers Freedom and Democracy.

Yes, I support her, if she would take a stand against John Yoo, and thinks his opinions need impeached. While she is a Progressive/Conservative, she is not a Constitutional Progressive/Liberal, to some that upset the classification, but if she would choose Tory Conservative, or Whig Liberal, she would try to be a Whig Conservative. She will support the "At Will" Enron power of the Presidency.

I will say she seems to be strong willed, and devoted, so I pray her hand is on the Constitution, and not on the President Executive Privilege power to Legislate and be our Supreme Court Commander.

God help US, if she is a Cheney supporter.

Remember Tiananmen Square is a Holocaust reminder of Lady Liberty’s Civil Liberties internment. The Supreme Court is the Vanguard defense of our Founding Fathers evolving Constitution of equality in Human and Civil Rights. But as a Terminated for Poetry poet, I am afraid our homes are eminent domains, where the Supreme Court’s Patriot Act Terminates our Free Verse Free Speech Uni-Verse in economic classes of slavery and masters.

God Bless Made in America Liberal Love of divine unity of diversity, against those pit bull Conservative mongrels that Label and Judge our nation into the Dark Ages of Inquisitions extinction.

Good Luck Judge Sonia Sotomayor may Lady Liberty wings arise the pyre into a flaming Phoenix supporter of the Constitution.

There has to be others that are more suitable for the job that is so very important. Please, if she is voted in due to: The pick of our President, I have lost faith in our country and elected officals. Come on Demo's we cannot just keep on going along with all the choices our President wants.
