President of the United States Barack Obama

September 12, 2009: Weekly Presidential Address

Posted by Jonah on September 15, 2009 at 11:55 AM

In his weekly address the President talks about the reality of Americans losing health insurance coverage. In referencing a Treasury Department report the President says that half of all Americans under 65 years old will lose their health coverage in the next ten years. After the President signs his plan into law Americans will never again have to go without health insurance. In the United States of America no one should worry they will go without health insurance.

Insurance is gambling - and my religion forbids it on that basis. We do not drive or own an automobile because insurance is required. Forcing my family to purchase Health Insurance or be fined if we don't violates our beliefs and subjects us to a State-sponsored religion. That is NOT what America is supposed to be about.

I'm a democrat for those who might say I'm a right wing nut.I think we as a country made a mistake now look at what we have to deal with.Barack obama is like your younger brother that got drunk for the first time and made an ass of himself and know your to embarrassed to even be associated with him.Hey Obama listen up most don't want this because well most of us want jobs and the war to be won or pull them out how about this Obama you stop rushing all these bills and tring to kill off america. By the way Fox is a real network why do you waste our time with that small crap anyway? Don't we have bigger problems like you wanting to control everything and you wonder why they call you a communist.

I knew a girl who couldn't find an OBGYN anywhere in Maryland because the malpractice insurance was too high for doctors to want to work there. The malpractice insurance was so high BECAUSE women in the city of Baltimore don't have health insurance so they sue the doctor when they have give birth and can't afford it. Even if the women lose their law suit the doctor's malpractice insurance still goes up. So, providing health care is good for EVERYONE. Our costs go down, doctors save money on malpractice insurance, everyone gets medical care. What is the problem. And this isn't the cold war anymore so, stop using communism as a dirty word, MAdagain11.

MAGNATRON - Don't be a hypocrite. Life itself is a gamble. When you get up each morning you're gambling that you will make it to another day.

BBBDXNOlO - Fauxx Noise is not a news channel. It's pure propaganda and they lie.

MADAGAIN - What party had the power when our jobs left the country? Who rewarded them for doing so? We American consumers are also responsible - we bought all the imported goods instead of leaving them lay on the shelves. Supply and demand is the name of the game. To save a few pennies we could not see we were being a traitor to ourselves, our country and all future generations. Cheney/Bush completed the job, they borrowed so much from China and if China calls in their markers, they own us. We'd better learn the language if there are not enough of us to turn things around. If we consumers had purchased American made goods I believe our manufacturers would still be here state side.

MARZIPAN - What reps in Washington has more than been willing to allow us to pay for their high class and expensive health coverage while letting us know we were not good enough to have the same kind of coverage? We keep voting the same scum bags into office, so we asked for it and now we are getting what we asked for. Then again in 2000 we allowed the courts to put their choice into office. Our votes did not count.
