CitiBank says that they reduced my credit limit and as Washington has asked me, I have been paying down my credit cars bill, while lowering my bill. Then CitiBank raises the interest rates on a low subprime rate, and then says card holders must charge certain limits or they will be charged a service fee. What the hell Washington, what are you doing? You are putting the middle class into purgatory.

So CitiBank lowers credit cards limits and raises the amount due, and then apply a limit in how much a chard holder must charge. Why any idiot can see that is CitiBank CEO Creative Accounting screwing Americans. Complain about it and you have someone from India with all your personal information overseas telling you they cannot due anything.

With the subprime so low and the credit card companies charging super high rates, Wall Street is rolling in the dough. Now add the other charges for service fees and you have a system of loan sharking.

Since Washington is running CitiBank, I guess all these service charges are for CEO bonuses, and political perks.

So with those UBS accounts in Switzerland are they going to have yearly reports to the IRS? And are all American citizens and those that reside here be made by UBS to declare their accounts.

There have been repeated calls, including Freedom of Information requests, for the Climate Research Unit to make public a confidential dataset of land and sea temperature recordings that is "value added" by the unit before being used by the Met Office. The emails show the frustration some climatologists have had at having to operate under such intense, often politically motivated, scrutiny.

Climate Denial Industry Costs Us $500 Billion a Year
The International Energy Agency (IEA) has announced in its latest World Energy Outlook that every year of delayed action to address climate change will add $500 Billion to the price tag of saving the planet. The climate denial industry should foot the bill, since they are responsible for causing the delay.

In the run-up to the Copenhagen climate summit, a growing number of government leaders from around the world -- and even high level United Nations representatives -- have suggested that an ambitious, legally binding agreement is all but impossible to achieve in Denmark this December. Some have indicated that it may take six months to a year beyond Copenhagen to cement a global agreement. Nearly all point the finger at the United States for causing this delay.

But it is not President Obama’s fault, a fact that is difficult for many outside the U.S. to comprehend. Shouldn’t the U.S. president, often considered the “most powerful man in the world,” be able to commit the nation to specific emissions reduction targets and financial contributions to help developing countries deal with climate change?

It is not that simple, though. The real blame lies at the feet of the climate denial industry, which has spent the past 20 years working to confuse the U.S. public and lawmakers about climate change. More than any other single factor, the climate denial industry can claim responsibility for the present stalemate in both domestic U.S. and international climate policy debates.

The grass-roots activists driving the movement have become increasingly divided on such core questions as whether to focus their efforts on shaping policy debates or elections, work on a local, regional, state or national level or closely align themselves with the Republican Party, POLITICO found in interviews with tea party organizers in Washington and across the country.

Many of these differences date to the movement’s beginnings last winter in an outpouring of anger about the huge increases in government spending enacted by President Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress. But they were overshadowed by the initial explosion of activism that culminated during the congressional town hall meetings in August.

Now the disagreements and the sense of frustration they have engendered could diminish the movement’s potential influence in state and national politics.

“These groups don’t play as well together as they should,” said Kevin Jackson, a St. Louis-based conservative author and activist who has spoken at dozens of tea party-type rallies and is traveling across the South with a convoy sponsored by the national Tea Party Patriots group.

“They’re fractured at the organization level, I think mainly because there are a lot of people who have not had managerial experience who all of a sudden are thrust into the limelight and become intoxicated with it. And when a potential rift comes up, instead of handling it and maybe agreeing to disagree, they splinter and go off on their own.”

Gone are the days when a U.S. president could come to China expecting the release of a dissident or a trade concession as an atmospheric sweetener. For Obama, he not only didn't get that, but not one notable shift by the Chinese toward U.S. positions in key areas such as climate, nuclear challenges in Iran and North Korea, human rights or monetary policy.

While Sarah Palin and other right-wing opportunists create a cottage industry in drumming up public hysteria about Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other terror suspects from Guantanamo coming to New York for trial, many legal experts and human rights groups are being equally outspoken in their criticism of the "new and improved" Military Commissions designated to try five other detainees.
And some are particularly incensed that Omar Khadr, Guantanamo's "child soldier" - a Canadian captured in Afghanistan seven years ago when he was only 15 and imprisoned there ever since - is slated to be one of the "five others" to be tried before military commissions

The "new and improved" military commissions were part of the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act, which President Obama signed last month. It included some changes in the rules governing military commission proceedings and is intended to replace - and improve upon - the Bush-era Military Commissions Act of 2006, which the Supreme Court found unconstitutional last year.

Human rights groups and many legal experts are charging that, while the new regulations improve the commissions to some extent, they remain not only unnecessary but dangerous because they establish a parallel system of second-class justice.

Furthermore, they point out, the actual implementation of military commission proceedings could be delayed for years by legal challenges - as were their predecessors.

good morning, marvin. I rarely "lurk". I stop in and share greetings and a bible verse or two, then I'm off to other blogs or facebook (where at least 50 of the bloggers who used to post here are all still networking/sharing their life with one another). Work at the office keeps me busy all day, lots and lots of projects. Lots and lots to do here at home too. So, when you read me here, that is all the time I have for this place. I'm one line now because the sun isn't up yet to hang the laundry out. ;p I'm relaxing and enjoying some quiet time. The carpenter left over 2 hours ago for a morning hunt. We have one deer processed and now he is hunting for a trophy.

I can't answer for Jen/Jeff or Bluzy. I think this place wasn't "progressive" enough for them, but I really don't know for a fact.

See, I told you Stevieboy has no idea whatsoever what savvy investing is all about. He is leaving his kid instructions on the gold and silver----WHICH by the time the kid goes to get it, (I figure Stevieboy has about another 8-9 years) it will be down in the toilet again. But at least Stevieboy will not feel disappointment or frustration at being taken for a sucker---all he will feel is the cold cold earth around his dirt bed.

Somehow in his little screwed up mind----Stevieboy looks at today's growth of gold prices and seems to think that is going to continue on to his measly gold forever. If there are any other ideas to challenge the Democratic reform plan to hold on to more of our Free Enterprise system than we have already held onto in today’s health care bill, Republican leadership has failed to express those ways to the public in any meaningful way.

The only thing Republican leadership has accomplished is labeling government help and guidance in health care as all negative while they ask for the same job to help and guide health care in 2010.

Let us not respond to the Republican label of socialism by simply labeling their leaders as belonging to the party of ‘no’, let us take a step further and make Republican leaders own ‘why’ they are saying no.

How long will the Democratic Party have to wait for young Republican leaders who care about things other than money, or kissing the asses of corporations, to come out and respectfully challenge and intelligently build on both party’s ideas?

I find Republican leadership on health care an embarrassment to this nation. Republican leaders refusing to cooperate might give other countries governments the idea that some American’s may think that a government needing to make sure their Citizen’s have health care is some kind of a political crime committed by any government.

America is trying to get other countries to respect some of our nations new ideas to win back international support and all Republican leadership can do is flaunt hostile disrespect to any old idea our party has had.

The only thing that helps Republican leadership get away with not supporting any kind of Health Care Reform is that they do not have to vote for any of their own flat trumped-up ideas since they do not have the majority of the House and Senate.

(I am telling you, if the Democratic Party put the Republican Party leader’s ideas on reforming health care in a bill to get them to vote for it, they would turn their own ideas around and call them our ideas and they still would not vote for it. They have an aggressive-agenda to prove to their health industry contributors that they are on their side.)

Republican leaders and their political led GOP did not want to display any of their ideas on health care while working with Democratic leaders in front of the public, even after the Obama Administration invited them to do so. Therefore, Republican leader’s inaction on the subject proves what a political failure the GOP really is by their not even trying to capitalize politically on an invitation for positive public attention.

Their refusing to compromise with anyone or any idea surrounding health care reform shows how Republican leaders continue to follow the aggressive-divisive politics of the Bush Administration.
