Culture of Corruption Continues Without Delay: Today, disgraced former Republican House Leader Tom DeLay is resigning from Congress, although he leaves a legacy of scandal in his wake. In addition to his indictments in a case involving political money laundering in Texas, DeLay is believed to be under investigation in the case against convicted former Republican superlobbyist Jack Abramoff. Two former DeLay aides and Abramoff have pleaded guilty to corruption charges and are cooperating with federal investigators.
