Hang On Rudy!

Tomorrow is the Republican Party's Florida primary: Rudy Giuliani's last stand. Giuliani, who is tearing it up in delegates with two, put all of his eggs in the Florida primary basket when he decided to retreat from Iowa, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Michigan and South Carolina. He placed sixth, fourth, fourth, sixth and sixth, in those contests.

However, Giuliani says he may not even need to win Florida. (Somebody needs to tell this guy he's running out of states to retreat from.)

In that spirit, here's The Clash with "Rudie Can't Fail."

Thank you for the music and giving it to me..., Matt.

No insult intended to The Clash, but if the Romney sons roughed up their Ivy League image a bit and grabbed a guitar maybe they could use this song to satarize the Giuliani campaign? But somehow I can't imagine them being that creative.

I am concerned over the lack of attention the democratic voters of Florida have received as a result of the DNC's decision to strip Florida of its delegates. The DNC imposed this sanction because Florida's Republican Governor signed legistlation passed by the Republican legislature to move Florida's primary to January 29, 2007. The RNC only stripped Florida of half of its delegates. Once more the voices of Florida's Democrats will not be heard. The DNC has unfairly punished Florida democrats. We want to be heard and are tired of our votes not counting.

I think the primaries are about listening to the voices of each of the party voters. In that sense, Hillary Clinton's victory in Florida is a very good for her.
I look forward to a robust contest between Senator Clinton and Senator Obama on Super Tuesday and beyond. Both Hillary and Obama are creating excitement and therefore are drawing in so many primary voters.
I personally think Ted Kennedy should have remained a neutral and waited till there was more clarity on what the electorate thinks before endorsing Obama. Even if he had to endorse, I think it doesn't need to have been so strong. Is it the Harvard-Yale rivalry showing up here? or is it the protection of the democratic dynastic turf.

The CNN debate today was extraordinary. What a contrast it was compared to the debate from yesterday.

Senator Obama is exciting, very exciting. He comes with the most brilliant come back lines and retorts. But let us not forget Senator Clinton, whatever Caroline or Ted Kennedy may claim, has experience. Senator Clinton's experience came out loud and clear today in the debate. I am surprised how the two Kennedys can discount that. Now the electorate has to decide whether they want excitment or experience. Senator Clinton is making the argument that because of the times we are in we need experience. And Senator Obama is making the case because we are so divisive as a nation, we need excitment to bring people together. I do not think we need Caroline or Ted Kennedy muddying this debate or putting a spin on it. Let the electorate decide.

Caroline is comparing Senator Obama to her father. Are we doing disservice to history if we forget Bay of Pigs. Just because of that does it make JFK any less of a President. Then how can Sentor Clinton's vote on Iraq be made such a big issue by the Kennedy camp. I thought Senator Clinton made an excellent response on her vote. Senator Kennedy, the most prolific Senator possibly in the history of this country ought to know votes in the chamber of the Senate cannot be reduced to sound bites. It is then preposterous that is being used against Senator Clinton. If that is not Atwater strategy than what is.

I have admired the Kennedys and studied them for many, many years. Let us not forget, it was Joe Sr.'s genius to put Bobby in the cabinet, to protect JFKs back. It was Joe Sr.'s genius to surround JFK with people that the family trusted. Teddy should know this was done to ensure the inexperience of JFK didn't become a problem. Teddy should know better that experience matters and matters a big deal.

Let us also not forget Bobby doesn't get his due share from history because he didn't become the President; for no fault of his. Teddy should know that.

Let the Kennedys get out of the way and let the electorate decide who will be better. Otherwise there could be deep damage to the party; just as much as anything Bill Clinton can say or do. Possibly a lot more.
