Honoring the life and service of Lorraine Frank

Resolution honoring the life and service of Lorraine Frank

WHEREAS, on December 22, 2005 Arizona and the Democratic Party lost a beloved friend, civic, and community leader at the age of 82; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Frank was a champion of Democratic ideals, and profoundly effected the State of Arizona and the nation with forward thinking and tireless dedication; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Frank represented Arizona on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Frank’s public and civic service is unparalleled as the creator of the Arizona Humanities Council, emphasizing the importance of the human condition through history, art, and culture; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Frank was the a member of the State Board of Regents, the Arizona Foundation for Women, and the Board of Regents Commission on the Status of Women;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that her service is recognized as having been instrumental to the advancement of Democratic causes and to the betterment of the DNC and the Arizona Democratic Party; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the DNC pay tribute to the exemplary life of Lorraine Frank, a woman whose efforts will be remembered through a legacy of action that positively effected the lives of so many Americans
