Michigan Director of Administration
The Michigan Democratic Party is looking for a Director of Administration. The job is based in the Party’s headquarters in Lansing, MI. The Director of Administration will be responsible for working with the Executive Director to implement new processes and approaches to organize the daily operation of the Party. The Director of Administration will manage the Party’s Compliance Assistant and Office Manager.
Responsibilities for the Director of Administration include but are not limited to:
• Execute accounts payable, manage the Party’s annual budget, and managing cash flow month-to-month.
• Manage relationships with affiliated committees and organizations as it relates to compliance, operations
• and general administrative procedures.
• Manage on-boarding of new staff and other HR related items
• Work with the Compliance Assistant to prepare and file state and federal reports and statements.
Required Skills:
• Candidates should have a degree from a four-year college
• Trustworthy, hard-working, and detail-oriented and be able to work independently is required
• Experience with accounting software is required
• Experience managing bills payable online is required
• Experience managing and presenting cash flow is required
• Familiarity with state and federal campaign finance law as it pertains to fundraising and reporting is a plus
• Knowledge of NGP-VAN is a plus
• This is a senior position with management responsibilities.
