    Big Picture Responsibilities:

    The Youth Community Engagement Desk will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement, the Community Engagement team as well as DNC staff to and implement effective youth outreach. The Youth Community Engagement Desk will develop and execute strategies to reach millennials and emerging groups via outreach to college campuses and through social media to help cultivate a coalition youth communities.

    Responsibilities:

    Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Conducts stakeholder analysis, community outreach and engagement, key message development, communication planning and execution, and logistical coordination for delivery and deployment of outreach efforts.
    • Tracks planning, execution, community outreach and engagement and impact of outreach efforts
    • Cultivates relationships with key constituencies and facilitates involvement as it relates to Committee objectives.
    • Develop and write comprehensive community engagement strategy plans for implementation specific to tech-savvy audiences.
    • Analyzing local political trends, performing necessary research and preparing background materials and documents.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Engagement.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
    • Well-honed engagement and outreach skills, including at least three (3) years of campaign, organizational and/or equivalent experiences, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks successfully
    • An advanced understanding of and demonstrated experience working with progressive leaders and groups.
    • Proven effectiveness to clearly communicate what is expected of key stakeholders at all levels.
    • Demonstrated competency in handling several tasks, simultaneously.
    • Ability to receive constructive criticism and learn from feedback.

  • Voter File Manager, West Coast

    The Voter File Managers are part of the Democratic National Committee's National Data Services Team which provides data and tools to Democratic campaigns at all levels. The Voter File Manager for the West Coast focuses on delivering these services to Democratic campaigns on the west coast.  This position works closely with the DNC staff, other national Democratic committees, State Parties and Campaigns on utilizing data and technology to effect Democratic change.

    Responsibilities:

    • Solve technical and programmatic support requests about the voter file and VoteBuilder system.  Support will include system administration, applications of technology, political data and acquisition of data, and managing voter contact, digital, and other political programs.
    • Provide ongoing training for VoteBuilder and other DNC technology tools to campaign data managers, including subject areas such as campaign data management, Excel, SQL, voter targeting and basic data analytics.
    • Coordinate the collection and aggregation of voter file and elections data from elections officials and campaigns.

    About you:

    You are committed to progressive causes and electing Democrats.  You have at least 4 years of data management experience in an electoral or issue campaign context, preferably using a VAN database system and in western states. You have demonstrated success in completing data management projects on time while handling multiple other tasks. You have experience training users on technical topics and supporting both technical and non-technical users. You have experience with and enjoy working on a team in a fast-pace environment.  You may also have:

    • Prior experience administering a state or national instance of VAN;
    • Local and state electoral campaign experience in a role such as data manager, field director, digital director, campaign manager or similar, and;

  • Jr. Data Services Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the voterfile and data acquisitions process for the DNC Data team and coordinating with State Parties and campaigns
    • Work with State Secretary of State offices to acquire county files, state voterfiles, election vote history data, redistricting data, etc.

    • Process incoming voter lists, election history and other data sets in to the DNC National Voter File, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the process.

    • Collaborate with others in the Data Services team to meet the data needs of Democratic Campaigns and Committees

    We are looking for a Designer with strong typography skills to help maintain the brand message through all visual communications online and offline.

    The ideal candidate has a passion for Minimalist design, has their eye on the latest web trends, and can demonstrate basic coding skills. Candidates should be able to design within an established brand identity system, while pushing the direction forward. Daily projects would include social media graphics, printed materials for events and press, photograph selection and collaborating with lead designer on larger web projects and campaigns.

    You'll work daily to engage millions of Americans to support President Obama and Democrats across the country, and coordinate with senior leadership to shape our brand.

    This is an immediate position at our national headquarters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with digital team to execute design decisions for the DNC across digital and traditional platforms
    • Create digital graphics and branded collateral to support all departments of the DNC
    • Assist in photography selection and file maintenance for graphics
    • Design social media campaigns, and support digital initiatives

    Required Skills:

    • Previous experience at an agency or in-house creative department preferred
    • High energy and positive attitude
