    Big Picture Responsibilities:

    The Associate to the Office of the Chair will work closely with the Chair, the Office of the Chair team as well as DNC staff to provide exceptional organizational and logistical support that assist in accomplishing objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the Office of the Chair in the management and prioritization of the schedule, meeting participation, and follow up.
    • Assist in planning, organizing and managing special events and travel.
    • Tracking expenses and reimbursements, coordinating and liaising with other DNC departments.
    • Accepting and taking ownership of various small, special projects, adapting and adjusting throughout the day to efficiently switch and complete varied tasks.
    • Ensures that required briefings, presentations, and materials are prepped in advance of meetings.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • One to two years’ experience, preferably Capitol Hill experience with proven ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
    • Proven effectiveness to carry objectives as expected from key stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to receive constructive criticism and learn from feedback.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong interest and experience in politics, party building and/key Democratic Party issues. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who possesses sound organizational skills, pays strict attention to detail, and is well organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal and strong written skills.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license
    • Florida ties a plus

    Big Picture Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and execution of all direct marketing programs including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, canvassing and merchandizing for the Democratic National Committee and State Party Victory Fund.
    • Conceive, develop and manage day-to-day direct response campaigns.
    • Coordinates with the major gifts and online teams on finance programs.
    • Oversees Democratic National Committee and State Party Victory Fund brand development and creates key messages that align with goals and target audiences.
    • Develops all content for direct response programs.
    • Manages staff for the direct response programs.
    • Creates and manages timelines for all direct marketing deliverables.  
    • Responsible for managing and maintaining a balanced direct response budget.
    • Oversees customer service needs of the direct marketing program.
    • Manages detailed database for multiple programs.
    • Directs the direct marketing team with marketing materials.
    • Serves as direct marketing liaison for the Democratic National Committee.
    • Coordinate overall direct marketing efforts with other departments and goals of the Democratic National Committee.
    • Conducts research and post-analysis of initiatives to influence future direct marketing recommendations.

    • Successful history of developing effective direct marketing campaigns.
    • Excellent strategic thinking abilities.
    • Experience establishing and managing direct marketing budgets.

  • Jr. Data Services Manager

    The Democratic National Committee is currently seeking a dependable, highly motivated, well-organized individual to serve as a Jr. Data Services Manager. The Jr. Data Services Manager will be an active member of the National Data Team at the DNC, and will work closely with other national Democratic Committees, State Parties and Coordinated Campaigns to provide the following:

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the voterfile and data acquisitions process for the DNC Data team and coordinating with State Parties and campaigns
    • Work with State Secretary of State offices to acquire county files, state voterfiles, election vote history data, redistricting data, etc.
    • Be a liaison between the voterfile Team and State Parties to investigate and solve issues with voterfile updates campaign data systems
    • Train State Party staff on the available DNC Technology tools and the acquisition process
    • Run Release Notes reports after every file update and distribute to State Parties accordingly
    • Assist other Data Services Managers with Training Programs on VoteBuilder, Analytics, DNC Technology tools

    About You:

    You should have:

    • Experience as a State or National VoteBuilder Administrator
    • Campaign work experience at a Non-Profit or Local/State Campaign in field, data or digital
    • Attention to detail and the ability to keep track of different moving parts
    • Basic understanding and use of SQL
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

In this position, you'll be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects on tight deadlines with pre-determined budgets -- and coordinating administrative responsibilities for a large team.

    The Democratic National Committee is looking to a talented, creative digital content manager to create content and help run some of the most prominent social media accounts and web properties in politics (think @TheDemocrats and @JoeBiden). You’ll be responsible for helping to plan our social media strategy -- and then writing and executing on that strategy -- as well as creating content for our website and blog.

    You’ll work daily to engage hundreds of thousands of Americans to support President Obama and Democrats across the country, and coordinate with senior leadership to shape our organization’s voice online.

    Qualifications

    • Experience running and growing social media accounts, preferably for an electoral campaign, elected official, advocacy organization, or non-profit;
    • Strong interest in and understanding of organizing, campaigning, and politics;
    • Deep understanding of social media (including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest) and blogging best practices;
    • Excellent writing and editing skills and a strong, personable writing style;
    • Ability to adapt to multiple platforms and multiple writing styles and voices when necessary;
    • Ability to recognize a great hook or political moment, and use social media to move people to act online and off;
    • Familiarity with online content management systems (e.g. Wordpress, Expression Engine, Hootsuite, etc.) and basic HTML;
