Grassroots Donor Match 2006
We're going to try something different. We've built a unique tool that gives an existing donor to the Democratic Party the power to match someone else's donation. If you choose to participate, you will have the opportunity to match the donation of someone who hasn't given yet in 2006, or to make your first contribution this year and have it matched.

Whether it's organizing, communicating or fundraising, our party is about ordinary people.

You have the power to make a connection that brings someone new into the political process, or to contribute to the Democratic Party for the first time this year.

Think about the difference it will make for someone to watch the returns on Election Night knowing that they made victory happen. Imagine what it will feel like to know that a total stranger cared deeply enough about our country to ask them to be a partner in creating that change.

Donors
1 You'll take a minute to let us know how much you'd like to contribute. You can write a message to new donors who are contributing based on your pledge (but you don't have to).
2 A new donor will contribute. You'll receive a message when a new donor contributes based on your pledge. They may even send you a message letting you know that they just contributed because of you.
3 You fulfill your pledge. You'll get a note with a link to fulfill your pledge just as soon as a new donor matches you.

1 Make a contribution. Make your first contribution of the year, matching a pledge made by an existing donor to contribute the same amount as soon as you do.
2 Send a message. As soon as you contribute, you'll have the opportunity to send a message to the donor who agreed to match you.
3 Develop a relationship. After you've contributed and sent a message, develop a relationship with the person who matched you. If you decide not to send a message, you can always develop a relationship on PartyBuilder.
