Today, the President and First Lady are hosting 30,000 people from all 50 states for the annual 2011 White House Easter Egg Roll – and you’re invited. As part of Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative, this year’s theme for the Easter Egg Roll is "Get Up and Go" and focuses on health and wellness. Today’s event also includes live musical performances, story-time readings, healthy cooking demos, sports, and other live acts. Last week, the White House continued a time-honored tradition of celebrating the sound at the heart of an American musical renaissance: Motown. As part of the White House’s commemoration of Black History Month, the President and First Lady welcomed some of America’s most talented musicians to pay tribute to these beloved icons.

This evening, President Obama and the First Lady will attend the memorial service in Tucson, AZ, for the victims of Saturday’s tragic shooting. The President also will speak at the event.

35,000 supporters joined the President and First Lady in Ohio, the largest crowd for a rally so far this year. The excited crowd showed that folks are fired up and ready to get out and make their voices heard once again in this election.
