Ladies and gentlemen, step right up and behold Mitt Romney, the incredible shrinking job creator, the man who can shrink the number of jobs he claims to have created from more than 100,000 jobs to simply "thousands"—all without any sort of proof whatsoever. It's magic!
After coming under scrutiny by Democrats, Republicans, and independent experts alike for pulling his 100,000 figure out of thin air, Romney is backing down from his absurd claims that he was anything other than a corporate raider as CEO of Bain Capital.
What about Romney's time in the public sector? Here's what he doesn't want you to know: As Massachusetts governor, not only did Romney have one of the worst job creation records in the nation—47th out of 50—but he also created government jobs at six times the rate of private sector jobs. And under Governor Romney's watch, manufacturing jobs declined by more than twice the national average.
Take a look at this graphic illustrating Romney's ever-changing job creation claims, and share it with everyone you know. Mitt Romney, the incredible shrinking job creator, knows even less about telling the truth than he does about creating jobs.
