NEA retirees show support for the President

Posted by

On June 29, more than 400 delegates from the National Education Association retirees convention in Washington, D.C., showed their support for President Obama by sporting Educators for Obama T-shirts, waving Obama for America posters, and, most important, signing up to volunteer in their communities to help re-elect the President.

The DNC seniors outreach team spoke to the audience about the latest activities of the Obama for America campaign and shared our plans for connecting with seniors in the re-election effort. Before they left, the team made sure each delegate had an opportunity to sign up to volunteer for the President. The seniors outreach team is building a cadre of foot soldiers willing to be the boots on the ground to win this election and show seniors the many ways the President has demonstrated his commitment to issues they care about.
