The White House has launched a new site for young Americans. After listening to suggestions from youth across the country, the site will feature blog posts, videos, and remarks from the President and his administration that directly relate to young people. Some of the most recent pooled content includes statements on Pell and Educational Access, LGBT issues, DADT, Sudan/Darfur, youth employment, and international youth issues. Check out the site here.
Recently, the White House hosted a meeting with youth leaders. At the meeting, President Obama urged the young people to get involved and hold politicians to task, lest they suffer the consequences of a disengaged community.
One way to speak up is voting—so we encourage youth from around the country to join the Democrats and Organizing for America this Saturday, July 16, to register voters. Sign up here today.
