In a speech last week in Florida, Vice President Joe Biden made it clear that retirement security is one of the highest priorities for the Administration. Drawing on personal experiences with his own parents, he stressed the need to preserve and protect Medicare and Social Security for future generations.
“Every American, after a lifetime of hard work should be able to look forward to the security and dignity that Social Security and Medicare provide,” the Vice President said. He also reminded the audience that the Republicans’ priority is not to save Medicare, but to dismantle it.
