Karl Attacks Obama

Birds of a feather perhaps?
So with that in mind, the following are some things I hate:

1) Traffic, The guy who tail gates you on the freeway in rush hour only to pass you, and then cut you off to make his exit.

2) That guy at work who has all the dirt on his coworker.

3) Spam

4) So called, 'corn fed' beef. It's really fat with some meat in it.

5) Junk mail and phone call salesman.

6) Looking for my glasses.

7) Finding my glasses and forgetting what I needed them for.

8) Chanel surfing on my primitive TV reception only to find out the networks all play commercials simultaneously.

9) People who neglect/abuse animals.

10) Laziness
As most of you know Jim Webb has introduced a Bill of Rights for our veterans that resembles the original bill that gives a full ride to college for our veterans. I agree with giving our vets everything they need, whether it's health care or education. Both Hillary and Barack have co sponsored Webb's bill. McCain has not, along with Sessions, Shelby, Aderholt, Bachus, Bonner, Everett and Mike Rogers. You know these are the gung ho 'support the troops' chicken hawk Senators.

Please check this list to see if your Senator or Rep has not signed on. If not, please write them and tell them to get on board. You can use the tool on this site to write 1 letter to them all if you wish.

If we can't agree on the right candidate for the Democratic Party, can we at least agree to pressure the GOPee war mongers to actually put their vote where their mouth is and give our Vets what they need after so much sacrifice!
After Bill Richardson endorsed Obama and I saw all the "true" democrats call him a backstabber and worse...I asked on this site "Does John Edwards Possess Good Judgment? That was on March 21st of 08'.

I see now that some more "true" Democrats are calling Edwards a backstabber.

Props to the good Dems who said Edwards has good judgment and still mean it...To anyone who now finds it politically convenient to call Edwards on the carpet in an effort to advance the candidate he did not endorse...Where is your sense of what is right for America.

America comes first, party idealogical identification comes 2nd and the individual candidate comes third. No fair person could accuse me of not supporting OUR candidate who ever that may be. It's still not over but bashing Edwards is low and should require some self examination.

If you want to call me names go for it. If you want to disparage Obama or Edwards, go for it. If you want to vote for McCain...Go to Hell!
These are two things that GW Bush just can't seem to get the hang of. He has tried both and has failed spectacularly at both. His endeavors have left Americas standing and security worse off than before.

I believe he actually believes in what he says and does. What clouds his mind cannot equal the outcomes that he has produced. Yet he continues his folly. I further believe that he sees the world as the way he wants it to be rather than starting with the way it is. Arrogance in other words. Him being a recovering alcoholic, wouldn't you think he would be able to accept things he cannot change?

An insulated and arrogant world view is something I also believes he has in common with John McCain. The only difference being that McCain might prove to be able to manage a war a little better. What does trouble me though is that McCain shares Bush's willingness to go to war without the forethought of the aftermath.

I'm not sure either one would be a great chess player, I'm not even convinced either would be that great at checkers. I sure as hell know we don't need to find out come next January.
Watch Jon Stewart interview War Whore, Doug Feith...Nothing funny about this one

This is for those of us who won't pay for cable TV. Stewart may convince me to get a basic package.

I had to keep from ruining a perfectly good monitor watching this monger trying to sell another cya, blame everyone but me book.

Do you know that the people of Wisconsin and Kentucky are tied at the hip?

Evidenced by the battleship Wisconsin. The Wisconsin is the largest battleship America ever produced, by 11 inches. This came from the result of the Wisconsin being damaged on it's home voyage from the Korea War. It ran over another U.S. ship in a fog bank off the Atlantic coast and sustained major damage. The powers that were at the time decided to mothball the USS Kentucky and add it's hull to the damaged Wisconsin. As a result, the Wisconsin is the largest battleship ever made in the U.S.A. Even though the Wisconsin sits in mothballs, it carries a part of Kentucky with it.   Read More »
1.5 Trillion dollars is urgently needed in the next 5 years just to maintain the infrastructure we have. That's half the ultimate expected cost of Bush's war in Iraq.

I was speaking of the first 2:40 of the video, kinda creepy all contempory things considered. The rest of the video is still pretty good.

Even if you believe that it is over, which it isn't, I would ask you to remember that being an ungracious winner is not the proper way to unity in the Fall. In my book being a sore loser is the same as being a sore winner. Pouring salt in a fresh wound equals a big fat "I told you so." I would ask you to consider what good could possibly come of that?

In full disclosure if you don't know...I am an Obama supporter, have been since 12-1-07. It was a tough decision to make. If my Father had ever caught me saying, "I told you so", you can bet I would never say it again. I'm an adult now, I no longer entertain such thoughts.

This rancor is not exclusive to either camp but it is time to let the better part of your nature bloom. I'm just sayin'...OK.
You can help the hungry tomorrow with help from your mailman. It's easy and so needed at the end of the Bush era.

The National Assoc. of Letter Carriers is doing their 16th annual Stamp Out Hunger Drive. All you need do is leave non perishable food goods (no glass containers please) at or near your mailbox tomorrow, Sat the 10th of May. Your mailman will pick them up, and with help of the Letter Carriers Union, will make sure it is distributed to YOUR LOCAL food shelf.

It's what unions do, it's what Democrats do and it's what your Mother would want you to do! Do it....please...

Bush promises veto which may set up 2nd veto over ride.

From today's Rueters; snip

A vote on the measure, which looks certain to pass the Democratic-controlled House, is expected on Thursday.

Its sponsors expect many Republicans will break with Bush and back the election-year measure because of voter concerns over falling home prices and mounting foreclosures.

"We have seen the perfect storm of stagnant wages, rising mortgage payments and decreased home values, all of which have led to a record level of delinquencies and foreclosures," Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York said in arguing for the bill.
