The importance of voting for a veteran and my endorsement
About the Author
My endorsement for William J Meyers for House (Iowa Congressional district #4) in 2008.
I will even campaign for him and canvass for him.
Hillary really let me down with her recent comments, they were uncalled for and I know I am not the only one that believes so.
I think all votes should be counted and all states represented in the convention.
But Hillary is not only a bad candidate, but a horrible person for what she said.
Thanks for listening,
Adam

Hey fellow dems,
I, like many of you have seen the debate in Penn. this has prompted me to start a petition. I would like to ask everyone who is able to help with it.
It wont be up until Tuesday, but it will say these main points
* Hillary has fought a long and hard campaign, but for the good of the Democratic Party and America. We must request that you leave the race for president and return to working hard for the great people of New York...
or something like that...
Any suggestions will help.
Should be posting the link on Tuesday
Thanks
Adam

I live in the state of Iowa, a state that went to Gore in 2000 and Bush 2004, both times by a couple points or less.
This year, as in every presidential election year, we kicked off the Democratic Primary by Caucusing for Obama in record numbers.
As Hillary came in third behind Edwards, it was apparent to all that she had been defeated and could not stop this momentous support from the Obama faithful and it was just a matter of time before she would get out of the race.
Over three months later Hillary is still hanging on to a fruitless endeavor to gain the presidential nomination. It has been good for the party that she stayed in, but Pennsylvania is obviously not going to be the huge victory she needed, and no one knows this better than Hillary.
After she fails to close the gap in Pennsylvania, she will leave the race, and I hope all you die hard Clintonites will blog just as viciously for Obama as you did for Hillary.
Thanks

i have recently talked to many people who are working on the democratic side of things in Mccain's home state of arizona. What really surprised me is that arizona seems to be up for grabs in november.
i was very surprised by this news and am actually considering doing a 1-2 month stint in arizona to help out.
I hope all my fellow democrats, no matter who you support can take a look into these swing states and do what you can to help put a democrat in the white house!
Thanks

Soon the Pennsylvania Primary will put this whole democratic primary to rest and we will be able to move forward to winning the white house in November!
Here is a site where you can donate money to Barack Obama's campaign. A candidate that will bring true change to America and make a true difference from the Bush status quo that has been dragging us down!

* I hope everyone can read Mr. Bill's article, which, I believe should be posted about a half dozen spaces below mine, so they know what I am talking about.
I see Mr. Bill is singling out the Obama supporters and calling them "Repugnant"...
Well Mr. Bill, I only got one question for you...
WHY WAS I LEFT OFF THE LIST!!!!!!
I know I havent as active in my Clinton bashing as of late, but I thought I should at least be mention with the likes of Liz and Sharkhunter... come on! I have a job! I can't get on at all hours... as my friend John Belushi once said...
“'Over'? Did you say 'over'? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!”

12%, and a generous 12 at that. And a 37% favorability rating... I think she will stick around until the PA primaries, it is pretty safe to stick that fork in the Clinton campaign, it's done...
Get your champagne and cigars ready, fellow Obama supporters!! But remember this is just the beginning!
YES WE CAN!!

I use to live in Texas, San Antonio to be exact and never thought we would see the day when Texas would become Democrat again.
I thought the TRP and there big money infrastructure was too much, but this year I got a feeling that we can win it and have been hearing from a lot of people about our chances in November not only for the white house but also for Democratic House seats.
I wanted to get input from anyone on here who lives in Texas or will be helping the campaign effort down there. It is really really exciting to have such momentum in such a typically red state!!

My State, The swing state of Iowa will go blue, I doesnt matter who is on the ballot, WE WILL WIN IOWA.
Hopefully you guys feel the same about your state. No matter if you are in Mass. or Utah, for our respective presidential candidate to win, we need a large infrastructure and a competitive base in all states. That means all 50, that also means the Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, and of course our many citizens living, working and serving abroad.
More about my state...
In 2006 Democrats won the Governorship, both state houses and 2 more congressional seats (we have 3 of 5). In January we hosted the first in the nation caucus, where 50,000 Independants and non-voters registered Democrat to the Republicans 4,000. Obama won by an easy margin in what turned out to be the largest democratic turnout ever.
Here is some info on my state, I would also like to hear about yours! Read More »

I was watching the other national blogs and I saw frequent postings of Edward's intentions to endorse Obama.
I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this and also wondering if his delegates (he has about half of his pledged delegates here in Iowa, the other half went to Obama) could be seeded to someone else?
Havent heard much from Al Gore, although I would like to, last I heard he was working on something in India? Sorry Im out of the loop as of late. Your help is appreciated.

To me, an Iraqi war veteran, there is no better candidate than Senator Barack Obama, and here are my reasons.
1. He brings together Americans.
2. He believes that patriotism is more than wearing a flag on your lapel.
3. He is for a peacefull foreign agenda
4. He knows what it is like to work for the betterment of man kind.
5. He is the best choice for the economy.
6. He is the best chance we have to maintain our civil liberties.
7. McCain doesnt have a chance against him.
8. He is leading in popular votes, Pledged delegates and total delegates.
There are too many to list on this one blog. But my most important reason is that...
Obama is whats best for America!-

Hillary put up a good fight this election year, but I believe it is high time for her to step aside and endorse Barack Obama.
She is too far behind in the delegate count and popular vote to have a chance at winning and her dirty smear politics are really hurting her chances of being chosen for VP.
That being said, I would support an Obama/Clinton ticket and I hope we have it, being as it would be the best way to win in November.

Xavier (my championship team) sure got close to losing against Gerogia, but my bracket is unblemished so far!

That this whole thing is more overexageratted here on this blog than even in the media.
Yes Rev. Wright said these words, once. Yes Barack Obama goes to his church. But that is about all that has been proven to me.
Looking at this, I cant help but think of how many people went to sermons preched by child molesters, or people who have commited many other crimes.
Rev. Wright did not break any laws. He simply excercised his constitutional right to free speech, I believe this all trumped up to play into white America's fears of a black man in the oval office.

And I am tired of hearing all the hub bub and back and forth. Im ready to get down to the issues, Talk about the real problems that are facing America, and debate about the best ways to fix them.
Furthermore, If any Obama supporter, or Clinton supporter feels that they have been belittled or threatened, please drop me a line and we can fight these trolls together.
Also, just so it is totally understood. I support Barack Obama, I also believe that Hillary Clinton would be more than capable of being a good president. I feel fortunate that we have these two great candidates willing to lend there time (among many other things) to this movement of change for the betterment of America and Human kind. I have cast my vote and will support the democratic candidate!

Instead of going on and on about what Obama or Clintons supports say... How bout we focus on reality. Can Clinton really win the needed delegates to clinch a nomination? What type of deal would be brokered in the end? I want to know if there is enough for either one to get the needed majority with what little delegates are remaining?

Greatings from Iowa!
Here in Iowa, in the Third District we have a tough race in the Democratic Primary for Congress. There does not look to be any Republican challanger in the district, so this is the real race for the seat.
It pits a conservative Bush-Democrat up against a Progressive Democrat that is really making waves, not only in the Iowa scene, but nation wide.
I am hoping everyone will take the time to join there local democratic party and work hard to get dems into all offices.

I had a question and I wanted to get answers from everyone I could in different areas about the upcoming Senate, House, and Gubernatorial races.
I want to know what seats we could pick up, where we need to focus our efforts? and how we can win our 60%?
The presidential race is all good and fine, but if we dont keep our majority (and even widen it) it would be pretty hard to get things done
Thanks Dems!
