Redoing the primaries in Florida and Michigan is silly. These two states knew the consequences of moving their primaries before Feb. 5th. If people feel their votes were disenfranchised they should take that matter to their state legislatures, who were responsible for moving the primary. The DNC had rules in place and informed the states of what would happen. The states ignored this. Also if the primaries were redone Hillary has a built in advantage. She was already on the ballot in Michigan (the only candidate to be there) and she heavily campaigned in Florida. You don't think the voters in these two states will not forget this. Also, at the time of the earlier primaries John Edwards was in the race...he will not be there this time; won't the people who wanted to vote for him be disenfranchised. I am sick and tiered of people forgetting that there are processes in place for close races- the superdelegates...let's let these processes play all the way out. Who knows the voters of Michigan, Florida, and the rest of the nation may all be happy with the result; and whoever wins will be a million times better than ol' I'll do and say anything to get in office McCain.
I don't understand why some people have such a problem with the concept of a super delegate. There is no evidence that they will spoil the "will of the people." This is a primary election. It is my opinion that someone who has participated in the party long enough or in a fashion adequate to be a super delegate would be more inclined to make a decision in line with what is best for the future of the party.
It is really good to see the new speaker of the House standing up to Bush. Finally some one has said Mr. President you are not getting a blank check on Iraq... if you want money for this illegal war you have to prove that it is necessary. My only concern is that some of the momentum from the elections will dissipate. America needs change and I think we are starting to get it. Yeah!
