Sanity first!
I got into it again with J-P and I feel terrible. I am thinking about the conflicts on this website in the context of Al Gore's new book, "The Assault on Reason."
Today, irrationality, and the discounting of reason in favor of those who wish to impose their personal facile faith-based delusions has reached the levels of an assault. In so many situations and circumstances, I am able to demonstrate the strength of my convictions with pride and consideration. Recently, I have failed to do so, and when confronted with irrationality, I respond with anger.
J-P's relentless lack of awareness and his insistent perception of righteousness threaten my hope that strength of character and reasoned civility will not succumb to the unbridled forces of delusion. Self-righteous unconsciousness, powerfully imposed is truly frightening to me. It is the same antisocial behavior in George W. Bush, who is determined to drive our country into disaster, which I sense in Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo's conduct and his insistence on dominating this DNC website. To disagree with him is to be called anti-Semitic or fascist. I’d personally rather have republicans just call me unpatriotic.
Today, on this website I give up. I have tried many times to get beyond the intimidations and impositions of Mr. Fenyo, but I cannot. He scares me, and when I am scared, I get angry. His unreasonableness is an overwhelming force, and I have grown weary and I do not wish to impose my weariness on all the good and caring people I have met here.
I apologize to anyone including Mr. Fenyo, who I may have offended or disappointed. I wish all of my friends here the very best. Continue to fight the good fight, and I am proud to be a liberal, and a writer.

Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo, Philosopher all of the time. All other bloggers here must succumb to his mania.
If you disagree with his opinions and pronouncements he will threaten you with WAR.
If you are disgusted with his behavior he will call you a liar, anti-semetic, or a fascist, or maybe even an Iranian agent or worse.
If you ever dare to question his qualifications, as a philosopher, or anything else that he claims to be, he will tell you that only he is qualified to decide what title to put behind his name, after all fame and esteem are his for the taking, and not a university degree, or a diploma, of which he has neither, should prevent him from pretending to be professorial.
He will of course, in the coming days, use his super wisdom to solve all the problems of the world. After all he is nearly god-like, and all who follow him will be grateful and thankful that they are part of the Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo, Philosopher network.
However, I will not be part of the cult, oh sorry, I meant network for peace and extraterrestrial communion. I just never developed a taste for Kool-aid, and his peculiar flavor of Kool-aid is clearly the flowing font-like source of Mr. Fenyo's philosophical wisdom. Unfortunately, all that sugar rots one teeth. I hope someone in Mr. Fenyo's illustrious following can find him a good dentist, and pay for it, God knows that a rising celebrity democrat, from the courts of Kings and Princes, and peacemaker par excellence needs to have good teeth. And with any luck he will be able to channel Carl Sagan, and Enstein on his new crowns.
Good Night, Good Bye, and Good Riddance.

There is so much smoke and mirrors involved in the immigration issue. Most Americans allow themselves to be easily distracted by racial issues, national employment issues, or shallow cultural concerns.
This is about vast sums of money, the consumption of natural and human resources world-wide, and who is going to control the riches of this planet. 5% of Americans control 35% of the entire world's resources. I am certain that this 5% of our population feels invulnerable to any of the misfortune and misery that the rest of the world either experiences every moment or is only a couple of paychecks removed from. Dear Senators and Representatives:
I am adamant that American military forces must be withdrawn and redeployed from Iraq immediately. As the sole remaining super power in the world, our government must change strategies and avail itself of the multitude of diplomatic, economic, law enforcement, and political resources and foreign policy opportunities that could restore our credibility and influence in the world.Negotiation not confrontation must become our top priority in the efforts to affect an end to the sectarian violence in Iraq and to overcome the threats posed by terrorists and radical governments. In my opinion, Jerry Falwell was not a man of God. He was a profiteering opportunist. He was a man who shamelessly used the name of God for the purposes of swindling the poor, manipulating the rich, and turning Christianity into a viciously self-serving, mean-spirited, divisive force in America. I say give up your resolve, and exchange it for a liberating dose of opposition. Resolution must give way to genuine outrage. Read More »
If your text is more than 300 words use the extended post, period. This is the standard editorial policy of most newspapers for reader submitted editorials and opinion pieces. If it is good enough for major newspapers, it should work at this DNC website.
The extension feature is not the problem, poor writing or monotonous subject matter is. A writer's responsibility is to intrigue or interest a reader in the first 300 words. For example, every post by Eric Wattree Sr. is a thought provoking read. He only posts maybe once or twice a month, and uses the extended post option. He is a professional writer. We could all follow his example.
It is not for a writer to insist upon what a reader should pay attention to, appreciate, or value. Pretenders and imposters always arrogantly claim to be the best, and the most, at whatever they do. For anyone to assume that what they have to say is so important that they can impose themselves on the readers of this website is thoughtless and I for one refuse to waste my time reading thoughtless material, except to tell the blogger to use the extended post feature.
It is up to the reader to determine how pertinent or thought provoking any writer's work is. The challenge for the writer is simple. Write the truest sentence you know, with the most style you can muster, choosing the best words you can, and then get out of the way and allow your work to stand or fall on its merits. Writers can communicate sincerity in a whisper, intelligence in the acuity of an observation, and ingenuity in the skillful turn of a phrase. This is what real writers know and do, and is what every reader will value reading.

Over the last week, there have been very few posts or comments about the Supreme Court's ruling to uphold the ban on Partial Birth Abortion. In fact, in the months that I have been reading and posting here, the issue of women's reproductive autonomy hasn't been discussed in any detail. What concerns me about both protecting women's right to reproductive choice and the ban on partial birth abortions is that the democrats seem to be taking a very closed mouth approach to this divisive wedge issue. A woman's right to reproductive autonomy is being eroded by our silence. Read More »
America and Americans are suffering, and we all know that according to our "first lady," in her most recent interview on the Today Show last week, Laura Bush assured the public that no one is suffering as much as she and the President. I have given this much thought. I try to be a compassionate person, and I really wanted to understand what our first lady and our president were suffering from. I think I have an answer, or several answers depending on one's diagnostic perceptions. Please feel free to jump in with your own determination. Read More »
Empty philosophy, Eboonery, and now trolling in latin. All I can say is we democrats must really be on to something for the opposition to be pulling out all the stops. Tonight I'll say a prayer for peace and for life and for everyone in the world who truly wants more of both
Sleep tight my pretties, and don't let the blog bugs bite.

How's this for a straightforward, unrestrained, fully profiled member of the Democratic Party Builder perspective. I have just signed on today and some contributor's may be concerned that I am coming out swinging; however, I have been reading the blogs on this website for several months and believe I have a sound basis for my initial observations. There are many good ideas, wonderful writers, important issues, sincere views expressed here, and I promise to be honorable and humble as a contributor to this community discussion, but also based on what I have read and seen, I feel compelled to address the following issue up front.
I personally believe that Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo, Philosopher is certifiable, and I dont believe the certification would be as an authority in Middle Eastern politics, as an expert linguist, or as a renowned political writer. I offer my perceptions with all the respect due his voracious demands of deference to his multi-national ethnic background, his pseudo-religious affiliations, his wide-ranging sexual orientation, his severe dental afflictions, his lamentable mental and emotional disabilities, his pathological victimology, and his obviously congenital verbosity. I posit that Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo, Philosopher, is determined to ruin this website and drive away anyone who is unwilling to subject themselves to his unbridled egocentricity and unbalanced views of his own importance. He is intentionally and persistently undermining the efforts of sane people to build up the Democratic Party and discouraging the development of trusting relationships and effective dialogues supportive of progressive democratic principles and policies.
