I do not have an issue with some kind of bailout as we need to have a finanical system that is solvent. However, this Bush bailout (not Paulson's, that seems to be how they want people to view it because they know Bush is unpopular) needs to reviewed, reworked, and reconsidered. The unintended consquences of section 8, the use of tax payers dollars while no accountability is made for those that brought our economy to this point, and another the poorly thought out - planned - and executed plan by the Gang Of Pirates should not be done quickly.
"Hello, This is George W. Bush, WOLF!" Here we go again.
Stop, do this correctly for our country with a plan that is not anti-Constitutional and Anti-American. Mostly, it must not be what Bush has proposed becuase that one is so poorly done. Bush and his candidate, McBush might tout it as the only way to save our economy but they are the ones who supported Gramm's removal of Glass and are in part responsible for this.
Friends don't let friends destroy our economy, or act rashly just to say they finally have done something. Isn't that right, friend McBush?
It is a tradition in politics that when you want to make sure that the details of something are over-looked make a big proposal, a large document that can not be read quickly, and go to the press crying that it most be done quickly.

Now, what was that Paulson was saying about another government bailout?

Frankly, I have no trouble with supporting government spending but it has to be well thoughtout, planned, executed, with an exit strategy. None of which has been a strong suit for the Gang Of Pirates that are in the white house today.
The mental health issue is one that I have personal as well as professional experience with.
I have had family members who have had mental health issues, I have been involved with supporting commissions who have outlined the needed steps for the services, and have family that are providers of services for the mentally ill.

Of the people in this group who are in Greene County I would like to see some discussion about Greene County issues. Fairborn has seen rough times and for some reason does have a serious Republican vote. However, the Democratic vote is there and we need to make certain that we continual build networks between Democratic voters to support Democratic Candidates and reach out to others. I am a candidate in the area and have been door to door including Fairborn precincts. People need to see us and see that we are organized enough to be reaching out to them.
Who here can help?

I write for what I will call an e-magazine called The American Perspective. It is only emailed to those who ask to receive it. It has various views on issues of the day and welcomes letters to the editor.

I am gathering information on terrorism for a future piece and would like to get information and views. So, what do think is the cause? globally, what can be done in answer to this? politically, what can our party do to address this an issue?   Read More »
