Anyone play Madden 09?

I have played EA's Madden NFL since the early 90's. I've seen its ups and downs. Sometimes the game is just a simple roster update with a few new features. The Madden 09 promises lots of new features and much more fluid animations. This game has a constant problem in previous versions and it still occurs in the 09 release.

Madden NFL players have been having problems of the game freezing up at different times of the game. There is nothing more annoying being in the middle of a game and have the game freeze up on you. You lose your concentration of the game.
EA should have found this problem before they released the game. It has happened with at least two versions of Madden NFL. One has to wonder if they are even testing these games pre-release. They even sold us on the new version by telling us that there were new features but those features are useless if the game just freezes while your trying to use them. Sometimes the game even freezes before you get to start the game. Yes, I have even had freezes in franchise mode. You can lose your franchise if you try to improve your prospects. Sometimes the freezing seems to get worse each time you reset the game other times it happens every 3 or 4 games. I've had freezes in Franchise Mode. It seems that when CPU teams try to add players before pre-season starts, I think they funds to fill their depth charts which causes the freeze. One freeze happened in-game when I was using the EA Sports Rewind feature. After a penalty in the fourth quarter. During Franchise Mode, it froze when I wanted to simulate either a pre-season or regular season. When I got to season three in the Franchise Mode, I could not play or simulate any pre-season game without the game freezing. A simple restart of the system would fix this freezing problem when I had it before, but I tried this method several times in season three and it doesn't work.

All the games I have played on the Xbox 360 except the EA Sports games have not frozen on me. It's very disappointing to see an otherwise excellent game be unplayable because of a problem that professional game developers should not allow to even reach the store shelves. The thing is the game looks great and is a lot of fun to play. It is one of my favorite games. It has been for a long time. A lot of us bought it for franchise play. I like the impressive improvements in player animations. There are several new animations like the bobble catch and the missed field goal return. Running, group tackling, blocking, and other animations are smoother and more authentic. The downloadable roster update also is a cool surprise in this game. The gold XBox Live account is needed to download, and there is manual updating the will be required if you want to be up to date with what's going on with the NFL depth charts. The soundtrack is great too and you're get to select whichever songs you want to hear. Madden Moments and the Online Dynasty are also cool new aspects of Madden 09 as well as Franchise and Superstar Mode. If you get the more expensive Special Edition you will have even more features to enjoy.

This is what happens after 20 years of developing a game? At around $60 a copy I would think that they will have made enough money to have someone test the game and fix the problems. Maybe this is happened because the NFL gave EA exclusive rights. The NFL is stupid to do this because we would buy more football video games from other makers and the NFL would get more money.

We would also get a choice to buy a game that doesn't freeze and ruin the whole game playing experience. We certainly don't have a choice of returning a flawed game after we have opened the box. You can send the disc to EA to get a replacement, but the replacement also contains the same flaw because it is something in the code of the game. EA needs to go over the game and figure out where their software is going wrong. This is not just happening with Madden 09. It also occurs in Nascar 09 and NCAA Football 09.

Well we are fighting back, and there are a lot of us. What do video game players do when they want to get the video game companies to listen to them? They start petitions. Not only did someone start a petition, but hundreds of people are signing the petition to get EA to fix the game. You can be part of the movement and tell EA to stop releasing games that don't work properly. Fill out the petition form and let your voice be heard. If enough of us communicate this to EA they may start to work on this problem. Sometimes companies will not listen to just one customer. They may make a refund or send a new copy of the game, but they won't take much interest in fixing the game. Even if they get hundreds of single returns or complaints they seem to take action.

Signing up on the petition will let EA know that we are all together in letting them know we are not happy with them releasing a game with such problems. They need to be told that they must spend more money, time and energy on testing their games before we shell over $60 or more to purchase a worthless product. Many people are seeing this as EA just stealing money from us.Do your part to help the gaming community fight back against dishonest companies who promise us good working games and then don't deliver.

Please, just take a moment and sign the petition!
Harry Potter Fans are disappointed with the Harry Potter 6 release date Harry Potter Fans are disappointed with the Harry Potter 6 release date.

Harry Potter 6; the Half-blood prince is much anticipated by all the Harry Potter fans around the world. Everybody were expecting it to be on their movie screen by November 21st, but suddenly Warner Brothers had announced that they will push the date to July 17th of 2009 and not on November 21st of 2008! This angered lots of the Harry Potter fans who just can't get enough of Harry Potter.

Because of these fans' outrage, one person started an online petition asking fellow Harry Potter fans to sign it if they are disappointed with the decision to move the release date of the movie. In just a week after the petition had been created, it gathered over 40,000 signatures already! Just imagine, that's over 5,000 signatures in a day! The Harry Potter fever is just getting hotter and hotter. Now, fans are not excited but they are outraged by the decision of Warner Brothers. With this much signatures under one petition, just imagine how many online petitions about this had been created after the news broke out about the postponement of the movie's release. With all these petitions getting the same bombardment of signatories, for sure Warner Brothers would be worried. Why not? They keep on making Harry Potter movies because of its fans that just can't stop watching it. What would happen to them if their fans would decide to boycott? They'd lose lots of money and that's not good for business. What are their reasons for postponing the movie?

After watching Harry Potter 5, many Harry Potter fans already started their long wait for the next Harry Potter sequel. For them it may have already seemed forever and with just 3 more months left and they could already watch their anticipated movie, suddenly they realize they don't need to wait 3 more months but another 11 months! Now, wouldn't that make your blood boil? So just imagine the outrage. Thankfully, online petitions are there to make these fanatics have a chance to share their opinions in the hopes that those people in Warner Brothers may change their minds. It's a disaster! For these Harry Potter fans, this news seems like they've been hit by a killer tornado.

Warner Brothers said they moved the date to ensure they'd get the most audience as possible but they never thought that with their move, they made their Harry Potter fans angry. Is this the best way to market their movie? They should have kept their movie fans happy and excited about the movie and not angry and want to boycott. They may just end up realizing that they made the wrong move. Let's face it. It doesn't matter what time of the year they would release the Harry Potter movie, it would still get the same number of audience. Harry Potter fans would continue to watch the movie with so much excitement even when it's released on the coldest day of the year!

So, if you are a Harry Potter's fan and you are also outraged with the decision by Warner Brothers, you may want to check out the online petition about it and sign there too! Heck, even if you were to start a petition of you own, that would help. Everything helps at this point!
Stargate Atlantis needs our help! Sign the petition!

Im such a fan of Stargate Atlantis. I watch it religiously and I know all the scenes! Its in my system and I just cant imagine life without this show on TV. Have you heard? MGM has already announced that they are going to end the show after their 5th season. Why? Its probably the best sci-fi show on TV to date! Why cancel a show that has a very solid audience that watches it religiously the same as I do?

Obviously, the producers know how popular Stargate Atlantis is and thought that its just too good for TV and should be made into a movie. Great! Who wouldnt want to watch a movie version of their favorite sci-fi TV series? But why would they cancel the show just to pave the way for its movie series? Theres too much politics here and the purpose is not to benefit the fans but so they could fatten their pockets even more! Come on now! Why hurt us after we supported your show? It is just not fair!

I am so happy to see many fans who decided to start a petition. Its a great idea! Its time for us to save our favorite TV show. Let us save Atlantis! Its our time to be a part of the shows story. Now is our time to save Atlantis, Of course its not like we have to pack our bags and train to be one of these futuristic scientists but its time for us to unite and save the show! These petitions are calling for all the Stargate Atlantis fans and supporters to sign their names so our voices would be heard by SGAs executive producers. Its not fair! We have to show them that what they plan on doing is really not fair!

Friday nights would no longer be fun. I usually prepare myself after dinner and find a comfortable place in front of the TV in anticipation of this show. I look forward to Friday nights all the time! Without SGA, whats there to look forward to? Its sad tragic! Looking forward for the next movie is like waiting for your birthday each year!

Im just one of the many disappointed fans of SGA. These executive producers should reconsider. Should we boycott and show them our disappointment? But then wed be missing more of their awesome shows. We should all support the circulating of the online petition asking for these executive producers to change their mind and start thinking about the 6th season. The 5th season of Stargate Atlantis is a lot better than the previous seasons and we are expecting for the 6th. It cant just end here. Its just too good to end.

SciFi will have nothing to boast about after their station wont have Stargate Atlantis for their audience. Come on now, whats left to watch in that channel after SGA?

Would it have been different if they have used a different channel to show Stargate Atlantis? SG1 was a great show and it was canceled prematurely as well. I was a die-hard fanatic of SG1 also and I was so disappointed when they announced that my favorite show on TV was about to say its goodbye. I was sad but I thank God for Stargate Atlantis. At least, SG1 had 10 seasons so I was able to enjoy watching it for years! Stargate Atlantis only had 5 episodes and its even better than SG1 but why only 5 episodes? Can the executive producers answer this question for us?

Why the sudden death for our favorite sci-fi shows? They can cancel all those other boring shows on Sci-Fi if they want to, but why cancel the most popular one? It doesnt really make sense to me. I will miss the characters whom I already grown to love. What will happen to them after this? Will they be on the movie version of Stargate Atlantis? I hope so. But, still thats just not right. They deserve to be on Air every Friday! I am not saying that they dont deserve to be on the silver screen. Heck, Id die to watch the movie version of SGA but I just cant stand the fact that they are canceling the show.

Im sure many would agree that theres not much on TV right now that is worth watching. I dont watch TV on most days except for the news and some sports shows but thats just about it. No new shows interest me that much anymore except for Stargate Atlantis. Im a sucker for sci-fi shows but I am very choosy as well. Sci-fi shows can be really boring when the storyline is boring. SGA has an awesome storyline that caught me right from the first time I watched it. I even have DVDs of the shows so I could watch them over and over again. Im a die hard fan and I am here, asking all of you die hard SGA fans out there, to support the online petition. Please, please, lets support our favorite show.

Im done voicing out my opinion but Im still not through with my disappointment and I will continue to fight for my favorite show. Its one great show that we just have to keep on air. Whether or not wed be successful, at least we can say that we did our part in keeping it on air. If the executive producers wont listen to our plight, I bet its time for us to start looking for other shows that may interest us and just wait for the movie series then. Its unfair and disappointing but I will never say never. I will sign as many online petitions and start a petition asking my fellow fans to support our loved team of scientists led by Major John Sheppard.

You gave us a great show SCI-Fi, please dont just take it away from us. It will break many hearts and will disappoint even more. Hope youll make the right decision and keep the show on air!
