I have a habit of dreaming about our extended "dream team" ie/cabinet, congressional leaders, etc.----
Where do those here believe he would be best positioned to help achieve our goals?
The true history behind the story is so astounding and so important that it merits much more attention than this manufactured controversy. Anyone knowing the history of the liberation of the concentration camps would readily understand how the trauma of what he saw caused Senator Obama's uncle to isolate himself at home for several months after returning from the war. What he saw was the outside world's first view of what came to be called the Holocaust.

Doctor Phillip Butler is a 1961 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former light-attack carrier pilot. In 1965 he was shot down over North Vietnam where he spent eight years as a prisoner of war. Obama not only aired a response ad to the spot linking him to William Ayers, but he sought to block stations from airing the commercial and asked the Justice Department to intervene.
Fasten your seatbelts, but realize that the DNC and Barack Obama LEARNED from John Kerry and there is now and will be quick repsonses to smears and swiftboaters. Also, in 2000 and 2004, individually we did not have the resouces like the many factcheck sites and search engines that we have now---where we can find out the truth about things as quickly as they come up.
I recieved an e-mail yesterday from a Republican Group about ads that are running with lies and smears making Barack out to be a terrorist because he know Ayers.

Delegates from across the nation have filled the Convention floor after a busy day at the Denver Convention Center. They attended caucus meetings, where they discussed the issues that most affect American families and communities, such as the affordability and availability of healthcare, quality education for all children, and the struggling economy earlier today.
At the Hispanic caucus meeting, hundreds of Latino Americans gathered to hear from leaders such as Colorado Congressman John Salazar, New Jersery Senator Bob Menendez, and New York Senator Hillary Clinton. Senator Clinton spoke out against those who seek to divide us and called for Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans to join together because we cannot afford more of the same.

So McCain advisers say their goal is to keep Obama's convention "bounce" to a minimum, so McCain can head to St. Paul, Minnesota, next week with some real momentum. They think the best way to do that is to drive a deeper wedge between Obama and Sen.Hillary Clinton.
It started over the weekend, when Obama picked Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware instead of Clinton as his running mate. McCain's camp quickly released a TV ad entitled "Passed Over," trying to stoke the already-simmering anger among Clintonites who feel she got a raw deal. Now the Republican National Committee has another ad pouring more gasoline on the fire.
