I wrote this a while ago. I think it's my best post, so I am Re posting it in honor of my 1 year Anniversary of blogging.
I would like to lay out a new vague platform for the democratic party. A platform to ensure that our party will never be over run by crazy fundamentalist the way the republicans were. I want 6 simple pillars. Please give me some feed back by commenting. This is my best and most important post.
#1. We will never support any thing that kills for no reason.(i.e. war, weapons(guns),Nukes)
#2. Anyone who is on US soil or is a war prisoner of the US has the right to the bill of rights. Race, religion, party, sexuality, age, country of origin or class will not play a factor in determining your rights
#3. Quality of life is more important than money. We will not use a failing economy as an excuse to neglect our citizens. We will ensure every american has a right health care, an at least high school education and welfare if needed.
#4. We will not waste money nor will we use money as a reason to go to war. If the bill waste money without need we will not support it.
#5. Our government will be honest and open, we will respect the bill of rights above all.(yes, I'm aware of the irony but I still think we should be anti gun)
#6. Our government will do all needed to help it's people
It did not get recognized the first time so I hope more people will see it this time

I wrote this in 2005 after Katrina, and have made a few changes. I've written many poems and I am hoping to get published, this is not one of my better ones. I hope any Clinton supporter who is thinking of staying home in November that reads this decides not to:
I've seen Iraq
Where the blood keeps flowing
where faces of fear have threatened two nations
where evil is exploited
where lives are forgotten
where we inspired a cycle of evil
what is wrong with us?
I've seen money take over
and fuel the fire
that burns on people
and leaves them with nothing
and steals all their things
and destroys their lives
what is wrong with us?
I've seen genocide
where many are killed few are saved
where we indirectly murder
where war lords are free to do as they wish
where people die and we don't care
what is wrong with us?
I've seen the facts dennied and hidden
and the Ice caps melt, and sea levels rise
as we wait for our demise
and fuel keeps burning and fuel is our lives
and every man woman and child is threatened
what is wrong with us?
Ive seen the wise men replaced by morons
where curuption rules
where liars have misled us into distruction
where evil is right and right is wrong
where holey things are disregarded

I've seen men tortured
on the word of warlords
and treated as animals in this great nation
and diminished physically and mentally
and loose their dreams
what is wrong with us?
I've seen my homeland neglected
and people left to die
and children screaming, women crying, men swearing
and they were left alone to drown
and their corpses robed
and their morals forgotten what is wrong with us?
I've seen the pocket picker pick the pockets of the people
as they picked their political "leader" to picket for them
and he punched and pinched them to he broke their will
and that is what is wrong with us

about a month ago I declared that Obama has won the race and he has. he is up by 1.3 million popular votes (including caucus states) 7% of the delegates and has already won the majority of states. If clinton Overturns the will of the american people She will loose millions of democratic votes, and open the door for a major 3ed party candidate to run to the left of her. beside Obama is much more electable than she is. Obama is the nominee get over it. Let's get back to talking about the issuses the remaining primaries are like the black knight sketch in Monty Pythons holy grail any way only one difference, it's sad not funny.

we have just passed a grim mile stone in Iraq. early this week the 4,000th soldier was killed in Iraq. We started this war for no reason, We keep setting the goal post back, and we keep letting our best men and women die needlessly. 1.2 Million Iraqis have died. We are caught in the middle of a civil war. McCain wants to keep us in Iraq for 100 years.
I am outraged at Clinton Democrats who are going to stay home in November. You have the power to stop this by Voting Obama in 2008.
I am also Insulted by People who say "the Surge is working". Though There have been less American deaths and a stable amount of Iraqi deaths there is something wrong with the Idea of the surge. The fact is the people who are dying are still dying needlessly. a reduction in numbers won't change that and the truth is if one soldier dies needlessly it is still a sin (Morally, not religiously). I am angered at the argument that "There are less people dying" for this very reason.
The next president must end the war. staying at home because your mad that Hillary lost, or voting for McCain because she lost is just enabling this needless war to go on.

Only one GOP senator (former or siting) has come out to support Barack Obama. that is Lincoln Chafee. Only one recent GOP senator is qualified to be the next Vice-president. that is Lincoln Chafee.
My first suggestion to the Obama general election campaign is to pick one of four people to be vice president: Russ Fiengold, John Edwards, Robert Kennedy Jr. or Lincoln Chafee. I suggest Chafee first because he is perhaps the wisest of these men. he is probably the most honest man to step foot in Washington over the past 8 years. He can reach out to disillusioned republicans. Every sane person in America loves him. but there is another reason. The Obama campaign is supposed to not be about politics. what represents this more than picking a man on what he stands for and not his party. During this past campaign there have been a lot of charges of both racism and sexism. Let me just say the vast majority of Clinton supporters who haven't yet admitted they have lost are not racist, and the vast majority of Obama supporters are not sexist. However a few of them are. I feel Mrs. Farraro is a racist not because of the comments them selves but the fact she said them 6 times, still defends them, will not be held accountable for them, said the same thing about Jesse Jackson, and thinks attacks on her are de facto attacks on Clinton (who has nothing to do with Farraro's patterns) she accused me and all white males supporting Obama of both Sexism and reverse Racism. Other Clinton and McCain supporters have said similar things. Rep King supporting McCain is accusing Obama of being a terrorist. he is a racist. few involved in the campaign aside from them are racist.
The same thing is true of Obama. if you go through his campaign you may be able to find a few cases of sexism but it is very rare. The Clinton campaign should go out with dignity rather than appeal to the worst in peoples nature. I would say the same thing of Obama if he were in this position

I am appauled at this post. you have never been a minority. I have. I was Buddhist (and still am in some ways) for a good portion of my life. I had to deal with people that thought I thought flying monkeys were going to destroy the world and other untrue, moronic thoughts. the foundation of prejudice is ignorance. many people in the south still hold grudges from the civil war. he overcame that. He over came people who think he has ties to Louis Farican.
Beside all that he is Kennedy-esq and nothing will ever take that away from him. He is the dream candidate his race has nothing to do with it. don't insult me, my people, the minorities of this nation or people who know what their talking about by writing this crap."

on march 5th I (personaly) declared barack obama the Presumptive nominee of our party. I stand by this. The math does not add up for the clinton's. she must now win 64% of all remaining delegates and 70-85% (82% in my estimate)in states she will win. the fact is when all the vote is couted barack Obama will win more states, pledged delegates and baring somthing unusual more votes. the only way she can win is by stealing it Via super delegates. that is the fact like it or not.
I for one love it. I feel Obama is the best candidate since RFK in 1968. His campaign is a movement, I am not asking you to accept it, I am not asking you to explain it, I am not asking you to agree with it, but to just recognize that it is there.

Mrs. Farrarow's comments are racist, unfounded, insulting and Roveian ( like Dickensian but with Karl Rove). the fact that she (who many people say (I not being one of them) was put on the ticket because she is a woman) is willing to engage in this slash and burn style of politics makes me ashamed to be in her party. Obama would be in the same (if not a better) spot if he were a white man or white woman. He is the candidate who actually has substance. He is the candidate that actually has the Kennedy-esq dream, and to diminish that by inflicting race to this campaign is apauling and degrading to all minorities that have been oppressed in this nation. I am calling on Hillary Clinton to remove Mrs. Farrarow from her campaign. beside is not she a pundit in a position to say that (in which case it would still be wrong). she lost 525-13.
