Be president BEFORE the election

We all know that our country has been virtually leaderless for the second Bush administration. For all the problems he created and those that have been generated without his help we hear little from George. We have $4/gallon gasoline, rising unemployment, rising mortgage foreclosures, an endless war, a problem in financial markets, and our dollar is decreasing in value. I suggest that Barak Obama step in for the president before the election and have a few "fireside chats" ala Franklin Roosevelt. He could cover these subjects at length, one at a time, discussing the origin, current status, and his plan for resolution. Let him be the president we don't have. He will gain the confidence and support of a citizenry hungry for solutions to the problems that seem to be out of control and overwhelming.
