but please, please, for the sake of this party, will someone read this? If it's really true that the Democrats have become a party of entitlements, and I"m afraid they are, based on the things I've read about all the things "OBama's government" will give to us that we've never had before, then we are done.
Shamelessly stolen from the Internet

This was taken almost word for word from an Internet blogger who says it better than I ever could. God help the Democratic Party, this emperor wears no clothes ...

“I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal… This was the moment — this was the time — when we came together to remake this great nation…” Barrack Hussein Obama, June 3 2008

Jesus warned His followers in Matthew 24 that we should not be deceived, “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.” Jesus was speaking of those that would come to gather a following for themselves, promising the masses everything from bread and salvation to stopping oceans from rising and free health care.

Those that preach “change,” appealing to emotion while standing for ideas anathema to the foundations that established us, are nothing but false messiahs. Oftentimes such false prophets led entire nations to utter ruin. History has shown us this time and again. From Mussolini to Mugabe, the danger that comes from following men promising the sun, moon and stars, or something as simple as on-time public transportation and a renewed nationalism.

Another reason to be glad you live in America

Former screen siren Bardot convicted in race case 2008-06-03 10:32:38 PARIS (AP) — Brigitte Bardot was convicted Tuesday of provoking discrimination and racial hatred for writing that Muslims are destroying France. A Paris court also handed down a $23,325 fine against the former screen siren and animal rights campaigner. The court also ordered Bardot to pay $1,555 in damages to MRAP. Bardot's lawyer, Francois-Xavier Kelidjian, said he would talk to her about the possibility of an appeal. A leading French anti-racism group known as MRAP filed a lawsuit last year over a letter she sent to then-Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy. The remarks were published in her foundation's quarterly journal. In the December 2006 letter to Sarkozy, now the president, Bardot said France is "tired of being led by the nose by this population that is destroying us, destroying our country by imposing its acts." Bardot, 73, was referring to the Muslim feast of Aid el-Kebir, celebrated by slaughtering sheep. French anti-racism laws prevent inciting hatred and discrimination on racial or religious or racial grounds. Bardot had been convicted four times previously for inciting racial hatred. "She is tired of this type of proceedings," he said. "She has the impression that people want to silence her. She will not be silenced in her defense of animal rights

This just in from TrueMajority.org:

The Jerusalem Post broke the news this morning: George Bush intends to attack Iran in his final months in office. "The official claimed that a senior member of the president's entourage, which concluded a trip to Israel last week, said during a closed meeting that Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were of the opinion that military action was called for." Congress has the power to stop him. There is a resolution already in the Senate called S. Res. 356. It's a straightforward and simple resolution that says, "A resolution affirming that any offensive military action taken against Iran must be explicitly approved by Congress before such action may be initiated." Tell your Senator to support and fight for S. Res 356: http://www.TrueMajority.org/dontbombiran

Maybe you haven't seen this ...

What a Black Columnist has to say about Obama.

By Ken Blackwell - Columnist for the New York Sun

"It*s an amazing time to be alive in America. We*re in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first frontrunning freedom fighter over 70. The next president of
America will be a first.

We won*t truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won*t arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his
policies and his politics.

The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him.
Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He*s not. He*s the next George McGovern. And it*s time people learned the facts.

Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his
record.Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he
lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost.

Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he*s not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But
let*s look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial "beauty."

Start with national security, since the president*s most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to
destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has
ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s.
Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk.

Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no
one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on "the rich." How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college?
Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, "All praise and glory to God!" but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have "hijacked"
- hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual
leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction.
In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francisco values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don*t start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of "bringing America together" means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs.

But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they*re talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama*s radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs.
Clinton.

It*s time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let*s first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.

Barack Obama's candidacy has divided a party that just a few months ago was united behind the perfect candidate, a seasoned political insider who could unite Democrats and attract Republicans and Independents too -- and her name is Clinton. She proved it again in West Virginia today. Now along comes a newcomer with a street-ministry past, an angry wife, and NO ANSWERS to our problems ("change" is not enough). Don't get me wrong, anyone has the right to run for president. But this one cannot live down his ties to some of the most distasteful citizens America harbors.

I'm afraid of what his "change" involves. I'm afraid of his attitude toward the war in Iraq (although I hate the war in Iraq), the "give peace a chance" attitude. I want a stronger and prouder solution. I lived through the Age of Aquarius, the "peacenik" days, the flower-in-the-gun barrel days. It was a beautiful concept. Try teaching it to the leaders of Iran and Korea. Tell it to Al Quaida and the Taliban. Tell it to much of the world, which hates us or holds us in contempt (thank you, President Bush!)

For myself, I will never vote for the man whose followers have vented their centuries-old anger against "unfairness" to take venegeance by dividing my party, and by so doing have conquered it. Barack Obama will not win the presidency this year, and his ill-timed bid now guarantees he will never win it.

And that's a shame, because with a little seasoning he would have been a great candidate in 8 years or so - providing he puts Michelle in a locked room during the campaign.

Just how many Obama votes are from Democrats?

This is why the "he's ahead, just accept it" argument doesn't work for Hillary's crowd: Everyone in America should be aware by now that Republicans have registered as Democrats to vote in the primaries, the better to set up the general election to give their candidate an opponent he can beat. This isn't opinion, it's been acknowledged and described as perfectly legal. So we can't trust the numbers that Obama claims from the primaries. And we already know the Democratic party will suffer a huge defection of Hillary supporters, including me, if they nominate a man who has ... proved ... nothing... to... anyone. A man who won't answer the simplest questions: What's your platform? Who are your friends? Why won't you salute our flag?
The only way we can outwit the Republicans is to give them the candidate they don't want, the candidate they're afraid of: Hillary. This is the super delegates' job,to put a runaway train back on the track no matter what the crazies at the engine want to do. Unfortunately we can't trust them to do it -- they'are all afraid of their next election. So a write-in campaign is the answer. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Write it Down. Write it In.

Not by a long shot!

This is what "Concerned Democrat wrote:" Barack Obama has earned his nomination. To take it away at this point, would be a terrible decision by the Democratic party. They have attracted voters to the polls that have never been involved in our election process before. These voters are passionate and energized! And to take away a rightfully earned nomination, will turn all of those voters away. If we allow Hillary Clinton to keep stirring up distraction, we are robbing Obama of his time to fight against McCain. Obama cannot begin to attack the Republican party until he is done being attacked by the Clintons. The numbers give Hillary Clinton no chance, but yet we are allowing her to keep distracting us! Obama supporters are passionate and can unite the Clinton supporters, but he is going to need time. The party needs to get her quiet before we loose any chance to have control of the White House in November."

If you think nominating Barack Obama will unite this party, you must think again. I am certainly not the only Democrat who will vote for John McCain over a man who turns his back on the flag, offers apologies for the hate-America rants of his pastor and fellow churchgoers, and HAS NO ANSWERS for the problems that plague our country.

Perhaps the problem is that too many Democrats think we'll all hang together, no matter what it is we're hanging out. No way. If you quiet Hillary, who earned her chance at the nomination the hard way -- by working for it -- you'll quiet me and way too many others who will switch parties, perhaps permanently. If a majority of Democrats are really going to be hypnotized by the awesome possibility of a black president -- even one who apparently cannot be shamed into admittting any love for his country -- they'll do it without me and others like me. No, I do not find it refreshing that Mrs. Obama can say she's never been proud to be American, and I do not find it refreshing that Sen. Obama talks his way around every question, and I don't care how many college kids do! This party owes the Democrats in Florida and Michigan their votes -- that's what the truth is. I absolutely will not vote for a hate-America candidate who's salivating at the chance to pay back two centuries of misperceived wrongs against his people. Boy, if that isn't the politics of the '60s, I don't know what is. My ancestors did not enslave his, and mine had to prove themselves in this country every bit as much as his did. They did it by working hard.

John McCain stands for everything I don't: He's pro-war, anti-choice, narrow-minded against women. But he's an American who proved it the hard way, and who's proud of it. Sorry, but you'll have to wreak your politics of revenge on someone else.
