Bigots have, thus far, successfully blocked legislation protecting the transgendered from discrimination, and have forced a referendum. A judge sided with the bigots on a legal technicality stemming from a delay in filing a grievance against the petition that triggered the referendum.

I am hoping, given how liberal Montgomery County is, that even if the referendum goes off, that the measure will pass. Nevertheless, it's something we need to keep an eye on.
