Black National Anthem

I just watched the shameful snubbing of our Star Spangled Banner National Anthem at Denver, and the singing instead of the Black National Anthem.

This is what it has come to? The blacks are already celebrating victory in November by cramming a new National Anthem down our throats.

Most of any chance I had of deciding to support Obama disappeared when I saw all the pictures of the people in the Middle East praying to the "Monkey God" for Obama's victory (Obama carries a replica of this "monkey God" in his pocket, along with the Virgin Mary).

Now, I would be more likely to vote for his Monkey God than I would vote for Obama.

Curious thought...

My Daughter assured me this evening that, however the election turns out in November, it will be God's will. I'm not so sure I totally believe that God stands at our shoulder in the voting booth and jars our hand...but... Then I wonder. The Muslims believe their god, Allah, is better than our God, at least, as we see Him. If the Muslims want Obama to become President...and he does...does that mean Allah is truly stronger than God? What strange things we think of in the middle of the night when we should be in bed...

"Nothing to Worry About"

I drive a school bus for a very large school system. I noticed that in the last couple of years we have had more than a few men named Mohammed, Abdul, Faheem getting their Commercial Driving Licenses and getting school bus driving jobs. Some of these men are practicing Muslims, but most deny any active involvement with that religion. There was an article in one of the newspapers about this same phenomenon. And the writer mentioned the possible chilling consequences of turning over our children's school buses to Muslims...and what would happen if the unthinkable happened. The newspaper story ended with the observation that parents needn't be worried about the situation. Now we have a man named Barack who has applied for, and may be handed, the absolute power of Commander in Chief of our powerful country. He denies ever being a Muslim. Many of his friends, including his wife, say hateful things about the white race and/or Americans. And some of his supporters are leaders in Middle Eastern Muslim countries and terrorist groups like Hamas. We are assured that the unthinkable cannot happen and not to worry about it. Americans were fooled by Bush in 2004, and the post-election headlines of the London Times read "How can 59 Million Americans be so Dumb?" Will we be wondering the same thing in a few years?

Puzzling thought

I saw an uncommitted super delegate on TV today bemoaning the fact that he had to decide between the two candidates and stating that he thought the super delegates should be eliminated, because it was not right to overturn the vote of the people. When the host asked him why, then, didn't he just support the candidate that won the most votes from his constituents, and he said, No, No, I need to decide what's best for the party.

Interesting idea...

If the Democratic Party doesn't want Florida and Michigan's votes in the primary, why do they need them in the general election? If someone told me that my vote would not be allowed in the primary, you can sure bet that they wouldn't get my vote in November.

The Indiana primary was very close...Clinton 51% and Obama 49%. Indiana has 92 counties. Clinton won 83 or those counties and Obama won only 9. That doesn't sound very close to me.

Power

As they said on television last night about North Carolina, the state is 30% black...no white presidential candidate could have won there.

The American black now understands and appreciates the power of voting together...a lesson white people have never learned, or even had to consider. Blacks are now in power. They can control every election, every issue, that affects America. You really think they intend to ever give that power back back?

I really don't blame them. I'd probably do the same thing if I were in their shoes. I just wonder if we will ever have a white President again.

Now we know...

Black people vote together in a powerful block to get their candidate in office. White people split their votes among different candidates, or don't bother to vote at all. Who is smarter?

They say this election is not about race. Dennis Miller said Monday that "every black person in America should get behind Obama and get him elected". (Imagine if the same had been said about white people.) Howard Dean said over the weekend that anybody who questioned Obama's past was a racist.

The blacks have a lot more political savvy than white folks. If they stick together, they will have total control over American politics...and they and their leaders know it.

People wonder why nothing seems to affect Obama's votes...not Wright, inexperience, wife's derisive remarks slamming America...nothing. None of that matters. Obama will be elected on race alone. There just aren't enough non-blacks to win this election. And there never will be.

Buyer's Remorse

I just heard a commentator on TV give his opinion that if people knew about Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers earlier, Obama would have been clobbered on Super Tuesday.

And I believe if more people had bothered to check out his church's website and seen the racial comments on the home page, he wouldn't even be a footnote in history.

"We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization."

I believe most people want an American person who is true to America and whose family was, and is, proud of America. But then, the above motto may appeal to enough people to get Obama into office.

Well...Ain't that nice....

No need to worry about who to vote for any more. Joe Andrew has decided for us. He wants the campaign to end now, so he is encouraging all the Super Delegates to throw in with Obama NOW and end this horrible campaign.

I'm so relieved. I don't have to wait in those long lines at the polls next Tuesday and cast my ballot. Neither does North Carolina or all those other silly people who thought their vote counted.

In fact, why even bother to follow the Primaries that started so many weeks ago. We should just let Joe Andrew and his cronies decide. After all, they are so smart and we are so stupid.

Come to think of it...why bother to vote in November...let the Supreme Court decide it all.

Big Blog Posts

I have noticed, of course, that several bloggers have a tendency to be a bit wordy...often writing posts that would put a book to shame.

One of the things that I learned in college--back in 1812--was that you've got about two minutes to get a person's attention and if you can't speak, or write, your opinion in that length of time, you're wasting your time, because people tune you out after that.

I just simply don't read the over-long posts, and I suspect many other do not either--life is too short. However, I always scroll down to the end of them because there might be something of reasonable length, and great interest, that the lengthy posts accidently, or deliberately, are covering up.

I heard on one of the TV talk shows (please don't ask me which one...I have the TV on all day and they all run together) from a panel member, that the DNC groomed Obama to win the nomination. Do other on this blog agree with this? How much power does the National Committees have over who is the nominee?

(Unfortunately, the panel member went on to say that the DNC now realizes the mistake because Obama cannot win a general election after all the facts are out, but that it is too late.)

Pity Party

MSNBC is having a Pity Party for poor Barack Obama and how hard Hillary and the moderators were on him. What did they expect? If he wants to play hardball with McCain in November, he needs to learn how to handle tough questions in a hot debate. Stuttering and begging ignorance of the subject just won't cut the mustard.

Does Anybody Else Wonder....

Why Obama changed the wording of his comment from:

"they cling to guns or religion"

To:

"they vote about guns, or they take comfort from their faith"

I think Obama totally changed the meaning of his first statement when he "explained" it.

A Setback

I think this whole Jeremiah Wright mess is a huge setback to racial relations.

I'm old...and when I was growing up my family, like most white families, regarded black people as different, but we never thought to be mean to them, and they didn't frighten us. We had heard about slavery, but we of course never owned one...nor had anyone in our family for as far back as we could remember. We were poor, and most blacks were at least as poor, or poorer than we were. We called them "Colored People" or Negroes...we did not use the "N word" (even though my English professor at Purdue University told us that the "N Word" was just a slang form of Negro, and not particularly derogatory).

As a young adult I tried to not to be guilty of harboring any racist feelings. I had black friends and white friends. My children also played with whites, blacks, Asian, whatever happened to be in the yard.

Most of my adult life I have lived in racially mixed neighborhoods, as I do now. I never gave it any thought before, and neither did any of my white neighbors. We knew that some of our black neighbors were not very friendly, and their children sometimes said mean things to us (most of my neighbors are seniors, like me), but we just shrugged that off and went on with our lives. We went for walks in the evening and our children and grandchildren played on the sidewalk.

All that has changed in the last few weeks. We have been bombarded with a constant stream of black people on the radio and TV telling us that they hate us. Telling us that they are so full of rage that they need to listen to preachers scream about how bad white people are...that's the way they need to "vent" once a week. And telling us that they agree with Wright's statements damning America and white people. And Al Frankton told us if Obama lost there would be riots.

Now we are afraid. We think about the black neighbors that have always greeted us with a scowl, and we think about how much they say they hate us. We think about their children who stomp on our flower beds and throw stones at our pets, and we think about how much they say they hate us.

We no longer take evening walks with our dogs, we worry about our children playing on the street. We leave for work in the morning in the dark, with at least a twinge of fear, wondering if one of those people who hate us so much is waiting for us in the dark.

This is a Democratic neighborhood. We vote. And we usually vote Democratic. We usually all go together to the polls after we get home from work and then we all go out to dinner.

Although our first choice would have been Clinton, most of us would have voted for Obama if he won the nomination. Now we are fearful of what will happen if Obama wins. And we are fearful of what will happen if Obama loses.

I really don't think we are going to get in the car, go to the voting place, and vote for Obama in November. We probably will be in our homes with the blinds drawn.

A sad turn of events...

Hallelujah!

Jeremiah Wright entered a Chicago church today to a standing ovation and shouts of Hallelujah!! Kinda looked like Jesus entering Jerusalem.

But they have good reason to celebrate. After all, their favorite disciple will soon ascend to Absolute Power. Kinda gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling, doesn't it...

Ripple Effect?

I just heard on the network news that 28% of Senator Clinton's supporters will vote for John McCain if Obama is the Democratic Candidate.

Actually, that's not the whole truth. The whole truth is that I, and I believe many others, will vote straight Republican ticket. So all these smug politicians that are jumping on Obama's bandwagon should maybe start to worry about how many votes THEY will lose in this debacle.

Prophecy?

I believe it was Theodore White, in his book, "The Making of a President", that predicted over thirty years ago that the day would come when black people would realize the power they would have if they found a great leader and all voted in a block. They would be undefeatable, and our election process would be changed forever.

Maybe Wright was right..."the chickens have come home to roost".
