Wake Up Delegates!

Co-Presidency, Real Change!

I am a life-long liberal, progressive Democrat. I proudly voted for George McGovern in the ONLY state that he carried in that fatal election.(Massachusetts) The Super Delegates were created to protect the Democratic party from losing a national election again, when our idealistic brethren hope and mistakenly believe that the majority of our country has come to embrace our values. Unfortunately we have not come far enough from the days where Colin Powell's wife would not let him run because she wanted him to live. Hate groups still proliferate in America in astounding numbers. Just check with Southern Poverty Law and Morris Dees if you don't believe me.
I want to nominate a candidate who will LIVE to serve the office. I do not believe Obama can do that. Then where will we be?
I believe in four to eight years, after the whole nation has become comfortable with Obama in the executive branch as Co-President, he will be a shoe-in as president.
The way to achieve that is to create a Clinton-Obama (alphabetical) ticket to unite the party, and pull together the varied support that each of them has created.
Hillary is the candidate that the anti-war Republicans can feel comfortable with. They prospered under a previous Clinton administration and can feel secure in her ability to lead. Meanwhile, Barack can accrue the experience that even many of us liberals believe he needs.

Another important point is that in several caucus states, our votes for Hillary were never counted. I now live in Washinton state, where only those Democrats who can take a whole day away from work, their families and other commitments have a voice in our party's nomination. How Democratic is that? My husband and I attended a caucus for 3 hours and had to leave for work. It was not made clear to us that our votes in the primary would not count, nor would our choice at the caucus because we could not stay there all day.
Yes, our primary system has some flaws, and we try to correct for them. Hopefully the Super Delegates will wake up, remember their duty and choose the candidate that can win the nation. To support only the liberal Democrats in already Blue states will not win nationally. Hopefully a Clinton-Obama ticket can be brokered, and the Democrats will win what we rightfully deserve.

If we want real change, how about the DNC brokering a Co-Presidency with Hillary and Barack? This way neither one will lose face or support. That would mark a real change for our Democratic future.
Thanks for your interest.
