McCain stirred interest when he held a Memorial Day weekend barbecue at his Arizona home and invited three potential running mates

Gov. Mitt Romney, Florida
Gov. Charlie Crist and Louisiana
Gov. Bobby Jindal and their wives
I noticed they're pushing Mitt Romney in the limelight recently. McCranky is going to hold out until last minute to counter BO.

Obama has fielded numerous questions about perhaps offering Hillary Rodham Clinton a spot on his ticket. The former first lady suspended her own presidential campaign but issued a strong endorsement for him. Okay, so now he's entertained:
Majority Leader Harry Reid
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Reps. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina
Rahm Emanuel of Illinois
Jim Johnson and Eric Holder asked to guide the vetting. Johnson suffered media coverage about corruption, so he left.

What we know from the past is, Cheney was guiding the vetting, when he put himself as a running mate.

So, who do you think each of these front runners will announce as their VP running mate?

My guess is:

-Sen. McCranky & Sen. Lindsey Graham

-Sen. BO & Sen. Dick Durbin or Sen. Joe Biden/or General Wesley Clark (last 2 favorable)

I predict it could possible be an all out senatorial race...first in history.

All I know is, I want accountability in Washington, we haven't had it in ANY party. Put PINK in the party and damn, you'll have it! We'll beotch. We know how. :P

What you think...
There is no doubt in my mind that Barack Obama will do the most as president to help the middle class. But will he do the most for the economy? I have not once heard him talk about cutting pork-barrel spending. I have not once heard him talk about Wall Street Woes. I have not once heard him talk about strengthening the dollar. McCain cares about these things. Fixing these problems will help the overall economy. Cutting middle class taxes will help fix these problems, but there are other steps to take.

Barack Obama has the best plan to help the middle-class. John McCain seems to have the best plan to help the overall economy. I am wary of BHO's spend, spend, spend plan. I know we can ill afford another Republican President, but Senator Obama had best smarten up on the overall economy. He needs to take a Bill Clinton approach. Clinton was good to the middle class, but also worked toward balancing the budget. Be wary Senator Obama. We cannot keep borrowing money from China.

On the surface it may appear rather unusual that the Wayne Pacelle, chief executive of the Humane Society of the United States, finds something to admire about the NRA... One group supports hunting animals for sport and the other protects animals from sport hunters.

As the L.A. Times recently reported, Head of the Humane Society Wayne Pacelle admires their "brute strength". After all there are many other gun rights groups but none with power of the NRA. Since Wayne Pacelle took the reigns of the Humane Society it's assets have nearly doubled to nearly $207 million. "Our movement needs an NRA-type organization to get the job done," Pacelle said. "There are lots of gun rights groups, but the one that you hear about and the one that is feared is the NRA." The Humane Society is now the largest and richest among hundreds of nonprofit animal advocacy membership organizations in the country. "Before Wayne took over, you never heard of anything that HSUS was doing that was proactive," said Jane Garrison, a longtime animal welfare activist from Redondo Beach. "Since Wayne has taken over, it's an extremely proactive group."

The NRA is an organization that is feared. Pacelle says, "I'd rather be loved - and feared." The Obama campaign, our party and our country need to be loved and not feared but respected. Bush has already wielded a big stick with Cheney playing the fear card...The past 8 years I've often heard the message you better love america, embrace our ways our fear our rath. And the Bush philosophy goes back to the days of imminent domain when the US sent settlers across the plains to settle once peaceful indian lands in a sea of blood. It seems the past often repeats itself...

What can the Obama campaign, our party and our country learn from all this? We must strike a balance between a proactive campaign of hope for all americans without laying down for those who would leave tire tracks across our backs. We must stand up and share a love for all and secure a place at the table once more in a world in pain without giving ground to the forces that would create turmoil for no reason other than "just to see the city burn", a line Alfred spoke in the recent Batman flick that echoes in my brain.

The Humane Society, has moved from a mild-mannered protector of dogs and cats into an aggressive group flexing it's muscle on behalf of all animals. We must decide how to walk the beam of balance as stalwart keepers of the flame, embracing our ideals while determining sensible action that will proactively bring truth and healing to the public arena. As we bring truths to the light disonant voices of the other side will be uncovered for what they are and this shall be there own undoing.

Evidently based on the press coverage, the media thinks that during a presidential election year, it is more important to talk about Hillary's new hairstyle and the fact that it is parted to the right vs. the left than the important speech Obama gave on security. His speech talked about what he would do to make us safer, unlike the GOP (Going Out Pouting) and McSame who wants to keep us scared.
Obama has talked about a timeline of withrawl. He talked about talking to Iran. Bush said talking to Iran was "apeasement". McSame said Obama is wrong about a timeline, that he must do what the military leaders on the ground say. HMMMM did you hear that Bush and Iraq talked about a "time horizon" for troop withdrawl? Sounds like a fancy way of saying TIMELINE. Did anyone catch the news that the third hightest ranking diplomat in the State Dept. will be at a meeting with Iraq's nuclear negotiator?
Sounds like Obama knows more about foreign policy than what Bush and McSame and their talking heads are saying in the press.
Did anyone notice in Obama's speech that he wants to make sure rouge organizations (not countries) are stopped from getting WMDs. Why didn't the press report that he will make sure the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty is ratified and enforced along with meeting with Russia about cutting even more nuclear weapons. Making us secure by getting rid of nucs that our enemies could get hold of. Doesn't sound like a bad idea. I wonder how long until Bush acts on it and McSame takes credit for the idea. But no the press would rather talk about Brad and Angelina's twins and if Madonna is the reason why A-Rod's marriage broke up. Where is their priority. Thank God for BBC News, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and the web.
Yesterday I wrote only a few sentences on my Party Builder page blog located on the Democrats.org site. I'd been suffering from low energy and a long day... I didn't even post the entry on any group community blogs. Feeling smug that what I wrote was a clever double entendre to get folks to think about keeping our oceans blue while turning the halls of congress that very same hue...I never expected to receive a comment. Someone claiming to be an Independent replied which I first found rather interesting since I had been writing on the Democratic Party site, Party Builder. By the tone of the response my writings had either been misunderstood or possibly I was the victim of an attempted verbal mugging from someone on the other side. Either way the diatribe that followed really did spur new ideas into this cranium of mine. The writer went on about the surrender of our sovereignty as a nation to the UN topped off with something about America holding each individual nation hostage under it. The exact words are posted on my Party Builder page. This I found baffling as well.

The outcome was an affirmation of my faith that we are moving the blue machine forward and that we will elect Barack Obama as well as a Democratic Congress in November. And secondly an affirmation that the current administration has decidely scared this nation in the eyes of the world. Under the current administration, the American government has become arrogant and in some cases leaning toward the totalitarian regimes we so despise in it's decisions. It truly is time for a change. We must change for the course we are on will lead us down a road we need not travel. And regarding the UN, we actually need it more than it needs us,for an opportunity to silence the ramblings and cowboy justice we've spewn forth the last couple of years and to bring America back into the fold as a respected and carring nation as it had been known in years past. The time has come for "Change We Can Believe In".
Joe Biden.
Biden beat Edwards in the finals by a vote of 5-4.

Biden seems to be the one that is doing the best among people. He won this tournament, He was named the most Likely to be VP by Chris Mathews this week, he finished a close second to Clark in the CQ VP Madness and is the front runner in the MSNBC Veepstakes.

although I voted for Edwards I think he would help the ticket. He brings Foreign Policy experience, which people think Obama is Lacking. he helps bring liberals and Moderates together.

I think geographically he helps in Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Colorado.

Biden is a very good choice.
On Tuesday a caller said he was ready to take action. Thom mentioned a number of organizations incuding DFA. One organization that he failed to mention was PDA of which Thomm is a member of the advisory board. www.pdamerica.org/about/board.php

McSame copy Obama on Afghanistan by adding troops? Nooo that could not be possible. He had tocome up with this idea on his own. Remember Senator McCain is the foreign policy expert. After all he talked about the current events involving Czechoslovakia two days in a row. I guess that "internets" homework he was given did not include how to goggle. Did he not get security briefings back in '92 and '93 as Czechoslovakia was breaking up into the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic?
Somebody better tell Gramps while he was napping earlier this month, the Czech people got upset about a plan between the US and Czech governments (not Czechoslovak) about the missile defense deal. At least he remembered to call the people from Russia Russians and not Soviets.
I'm sure Fixed Noise will report that McSame was going to make this announcement all along, but had to wait until after the last of the surge troops were pulled from Iraq. I wonder what took him so long to make the announcement since this "expert" on Iraq announced a while back in a town hall meeting that troops were already back to pre-surge levels.
What I can't figure out though is if McSame was going to balance the budget by the money we would be saving after "victory" in Iraq, how is he going to accomplish this if the troops are just going to be re-deployed to Afghanistan where they should have been all along.
