I think what we Democrats need to be assessing is who the Republicans are planning on putting up as their candidate in 2012. They seriously are planning on O8ama being a one-term president. The only thing that will alter their plan is if the Democrats can achieve a filibuster proof senate majority. In which case, President O8ama will become an A ONE two term president.

Superpowers flex muscle, but at what cost?

In the power politics of international relations, superpower behavior is governed by the concept of geopolitical spheres of influence. When a superpower nation meddles in the internal affairs of another and attempts to exert undue political or economic influence in its perceived sphere, that's when trouble starts.
The trouble started when President Bush pressured Poland and the Czech Republic to establish a missile-defense system in their territories. This policy was then, and continues to be, seen by some as a direct threat to Russia, not to mention Bush's push for democratic reforms in former Soviet Republics still considered vital to Russia's national security interests.
Also, if Russia placed ballistic missiles in Cuba and/or Venezuela, this would constitute a direct threat to the U.S. Washington's hue and cry over such a move would be surpassed only by Bush's hypocrisy when he and his Pentagon took the "dramatic," "brutal" and "disproportionate" measure of invading a sovereign Iraq in 2003. As a result, what do we have?
The hemorrhaging of our national treasure in terms of lives lost.
Thousands of courageous people wounded.
A cost of more than $10 billion a month to finance this fiasco.
5 million Iraqi refugees scattered and without homes.

Our Educational Effort Began

Our goal is to persuade South Central Jurisdiction delegates to reject the SMU/Bush Foundation lease proposal when they meet in Dallas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel, July 15-19. We are seeking to convince the "court of public opinion" through the media that the SMU-Bush linkage is injurious to both SMU and the United Methodist Church (UMC) that owns the university. Please keep this issue in your prayers over the next several days.

Last night Hillary Clinton made a very difficult heart warming speech, after winning in the South Dakota primary, in which she congratulated Barack O8ama for his primary success. She then went on to thank a multitude of campaign staff employees, her supporters, etc. Hillary then ended her speech with not knowing what her next move will be.
This statement, which I paraphrased, has been misinterpreted into meaning that she is not conceding. Well, duh!! On the last primary day in which all the votes are not even counted she's supposed to come out and concede? No way! Why should she be forced, or coerced, into conceding by CNN, Fox, MSNBC, or any other MEDIA outlet's schedule?
In the first place, she had 18 million votes, which is about the same as O8ama had, so she must ensure that the voters that voted for her are duly represented by the Democratic party platform agenda. She will ensure that before she concedes Barack will unite with her in creating the Democratic party agenda. Just as John Edwards did before throwing his support behind O8ama. It's just the way it works, and she owes that to her supporters.
Secondly, is the possibility of a political appointment amongst the O8ama administration. She will need to think out how she feels about a potential request from Barack O8ama. That's only natural. How would she fit into his administration and/or is that what she wants to do with her future, not to mention the political capital that she has developed through this campaign.
Lastly, is the fact that she does not need to concede in a negative 'I lost and Barack won' fashion. In my mind she conceded on Tuesday night when she congratulated O8ama and thanked all of her staff and supporters. It has been a long, very long, hard campaign. Give her a break and allow her to assess where she goes from here. All of this talk that she did not concede was generated by the media that is hoping that she will do as Harold Ickes warned and take her fight to Denver.
Beware the media hype because that is precisely what this concession, no concession, story is about.

Organizers also announced that blogs credentialed by the DNCC will have access to a dedicated "Blogger Lounge" inside the Pepsi Center, equipped with televisions, technology resources and workspace to facilitate their reporting. However, it's not a loss to Barack O8ama because the delegate math (including Florida and Michigan) indicates that after WV Hillary will need to win in excess of 70% of the vote in each of the remaining primaries to secure the nomination.
So, a loss is not a loss when the ultimate win is just weeks away, but a win is huge when one is on the threshold of losing.
It seems from watching the political pundits on the TV, that Hillary's only chance to win is to make an argument that Barack Obama can't become president when he, his family, and all of his supporters believe that "Yes He Can." Obama's "Yes We Can" campaign and movement speaks to the real possibility of people realizing their dreams. Obama's dream is to be president of the United States. Everyday he and his supporters say to themselves "Yes We Can." Hillary for her part tries to those are just words. It's no wonder she would say that to try to stop the flow of positive energy and enthusiasm the Obama campaign has been generating throughout the country with every cheer of "Yes We Can."
Everyday the Obama campaign continues is another day of raising spirits based on the campaign's "Can Do" attitude. They have raised millions of dollars from people who all believe that "Yes We Can." Call it momentum, I'm not sure the word for it. It has alot to do with the way Obama awakens the American spirit in people. That is genuine and needed in a leader.
Hillary lags behind in that particular type of leadership experience. No matter what her campaign says, his supporters and he himself will be giving all of their energy into making the words "Yes We Can" a reality.
Keep on cheering, chanting, singing, and believing!!!

Then she appealed to the division of the party, she appealed to antidemocratic solutions, like ignore the VOTE OF THE MAJORITY!

" Simple " actually the scenario of confrontantion between democratc gives McCain some advantage facing the general election)

I just remember when I was a young man, long time ago your predecessor the Saint Father John Paul II and his apostolic visit to my lovely Venezuela, I just remember the crow and the cheer of the people and the enthusiasm of the young people like me, but when the first day come up I couldn’t forget when he shake my hand and kiss my face, when he went down from the pulpit and talk directly and frankly with us, that was one of the most important momentum of my live. I just remember his words and his sorrows about the people who suffer and the injustices; I just remember his uncommitted love for the kids and young people.
Just days ago, I listening and washing TV when I see a commercial about your visit and some kind of specific instructions to go in to the one of your massive mass in Washington DC. Yes, I just being astonishing when I hear this condition for security reason: “You have to show some kind of Government ID or Federal ID” in A clear allusion to prevent the assistance of thousands of people who live in this country “UNDOCUMENTED” no because they want. NO Saint Father, because the system is special designed to keep this people in the dark, in the shadow. Yes Saint Father the majority of this people are Hispanic, Catholic people who can be comforted by your words and prayers. Thousand of families are banned with these decisions, special designed for this people. Of course the security of the Saint father when he visit any country it is a priority and main concern of the governments, as a part of this security when I was young man I know this action is an excess, It is well know in the government spheres, if you want to secure an bring security to the Saint Father, first at all, check for arms of any king of explosives, I see this before and I don’t understands why and ID become an impediment to see an listen the spiritual leader of million of Catholics around the word special when they are Hispanic the most affected community for this decision. I don think so this is the recommendations Of the Vatican.
Saint Father, as I said before, welcome to the land of contradiction and opportunities.
This word means the same in any language and any part of the world: “FOOTBALL” except this country where this world means another sport. SOCCER = FOOTBALL in this country.
