I USED TO WALK UP ASMALLER ROW OF STEPS FOR EIGHT YEARS, BUT, AS A GIRL I BELIEVED IN EDUCATION, CHANGING MYSELF AND THE WORLD. EDUCATION WAS NOT A "TOTAL" SAVIOUR, BUT AN "OFTEN "SAVIOR. WHEN I SEE YOUTH HELPING, WHO, I WOULDN'T BLAME THEM FOR JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE ADOLENCE, I FEEL GOOD ABOUT EDUCATION. THE WORLD.

Barack Obama has the best plan to help the middle-class. John McCain seems to have the best plan to help the overall economy. I am wary of BHO's spend, spend, spend plan. I know we can ill afford another Republican President, but Senator Obama had best smarten up on the overall economy. He needs to take a Bill Clinton approach. Clinton was good to the middle class, but also worked toward balancing the budget. Be wary Senator Obama. We cannot keep borrowing money from China.
The Obama site is also requestiing input for policy:

As many of you know Catholics have been a stronghold for the GOP due to pro-'life' issues (I use then term lightly).
Due to the pope's stand against the Wa, Catholics are joining to put Dems in office around the country and anti-war candidates in office throughout the world.
This is an exert from an email I received today from a friend:
Lots of news from Sydney (Australia) during the GMG (Catholics Young General Meeting).
The huge community that reach this far Country comes from...USA !
More than 15.000 Us catholics, guided by Cardinal Francis George (tomorrow he will celebrate a Mess for all Us citizen) reached Sydney, about 1.140 groups from all over US.
With them, a selected group of 22 (17 girls and 5 boys) who will pass the news to Home, as they learned in a lamp course of journalism how stay tunes with the thousands at home, posting blogs through Internet in My Catholic Voice.
In the last visit in USA the voice of the Pope was been very clear : stop the bad things in the World ! Stop the Wars!
Your italian friend, from Australia
There are also many groups at the Obama site who are Catholics.

Another voting block Obama is adding to his column, Catholics.
I personally love to read my news on the internet. When I post I try to link my source whenever possible.
Thought it would be helful, for me at least, to share some of our sources. I know I would love to have some good sources and reads added to my repitoure.
Here's a few sources I like and are good reads:
Polling...has all the latest polls and poll averages:

Love the PBS site for history:

I belive it would help us all if we shared some of our sources...it would help me.

A few things about Lieberman our 'Independent Democrat'. Saw him this morning on Fox and he said he would speak at the GOP Convention in support of McCain but would not speak out against Obama.
Wondering what people thought.
1. Do you think it would hurt or help McCain if Lieberman was McCains VP?
2. Do think it is appropriate that the Dem caucus boots Lieberman if speaks at the GOP Convention?
I hope we win enough Dem Senate seats to boot his arse and still hold a majority.
The modern world, with its secular, materialistic, left-brain worldview, increasingly reduces individuals to hyper-specialized instruments obsessed with the external world. Consequently, as reported by the Washington Post, "A quarter of Americans say they have no one with whom they can discuss personal troubles, more than double the number who were similarly isolated in 1985. Overall, the number of people Americans have in their closest circle of confidants has dropped from around three to about two." This isolation is but one symptom of contemporary dehumanization.
Christian mega-churches have responded to this dilemma with a comprehensive response to basic human needs. Time pressures are real, but when an experience is rewarding, people find time. If the Democratic Party developed ways to enrich the internal lives of its members, it could attract new members, help prevent burn-out, and increase its effectiveness.
In addition to working together politically, Party activists could play together, have fun, become good friends, talk from the heart, really listen, share meals, dance, go hiking, help each other become better persons, offer feedback and advice when requested, provide support and encouragement, listen to music, watch movies, commune with Mother Nature, explore new ideas, sharpen their understanding of the world, engage in community service, and generally collaborate in the wonderful process of enjoying life and becoming whole, well-rounded individuals.
If Party activists were to set aside time to relish life with one another, they could slowly expand their circle of close friends and develop a more rewarding sense of community. By sharing more experiences with others who share similar values, we could become more present, responsive, and compassionate.
In his writing and his speeches, Barack Obama has touched on these ideas. By fleshing them out and implementing them, we could advance our efforts.
NOTE: In future posts, I'll elaborate on this theme. I appreciate feedback, whether by message or a comment on this blog.

This is the same McCain that leaked the details of Obama's trip?
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/07/unfit-to-serve.html
The copyrighted article to YBNI's listserv is titled:
"McCain Leaks Details of Obama's Iraq Trip." Here's the link to the original article:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/18/mccain-leaks-details-of-o_n_113682.html
The group suggests adding "accidentally" between the words "McCain" and "Leaks" like so: "McCain 'Accidentally' Leaks Details of Obamas Secret Trip To Iraq"
Here's Black4Obama's accompanying commentary: "NOTE from B4B: Just as I thought. Weeks ago, when I first started hearing McCain prompting Obama to go over to Iraq, my very first thought was....this could be a set-up. Now I don't know if it's because I have been following the corruption of the Bush Regime for the past number of years or because I've just watched The Godfather Trilogy....parts 1-2 and 3 in a row....whatever the case.....I smell a rat. I hate to say it, but I would not put it past this bunch of organized thugs personified to try to get Obama out of the country, as in over in Iraq, and then set him up for danger. I mean, can we really trust BlackWater to protect him. And now, McCain is even spelling out Obama's secret Iraq itinerary ! PATHETIC. So now, since Reuters and Huffington Post have already started spilling the itinerary beans, it's up to all 'O' Warriors to further spread this story so that it is so well known that Obama cancels the Iraq leg of his trip."
Since many of the usual bloggers are on tonight could we all please come to some kind of agreement on when to use extended post?
I'm sure I am not the only one that is missing some of the smaller posts in between these extremely long ones.
For those that do not know how to use Extended Post here is a very easy how-to-DIY...
"EXTENDED POST - PLEASE use the extended post section for majority of text of your blog leaving just a paragraph or two to entice the reader on the front page. This little snippet entices the reader, but leaves more blogs on the front page for people to read. OR you can ignore this advice and receive lots of snarky comments."
If nothing else, can we all agree that the Democratic wagon is a heck of a lot better for ALL of us than the GOP wagon?
How many female or minority presidential candidates did the GOP offer America? NONE.
How many pro-women, pro-children, pro-education, pro-worker's, or pro-healthcare legislation has the GOP endorsed? NONE.
Let's all just be thankful to be having these types of discussions on the Democratic bandwagon site.....we'd ALL be banned from the GOP site a long time ago with pleasure!
Cheers to my fellow Blue friends!
A few months ago, Democratic voter registration surpassed Republican. We held our state Democratic convention and had over 3,000 people attend....more than 2,000 more than usual. Now, here comes even better news....the Republicans couldn't get enough delegates to RSVP their state convention to get a quorum, so they're cancelling! This is shocking!
Dust off those blue, suede cowboy boots, people!
