For those of you that are hard core Hillary supporters or for that matter Obama supporters, I stress the fact that I am nether. I am a democrat, and the powers that be have nominated Mr. Obama. That is my vote. And if I were to choose Obama would have my vote if I were an independent.
My point is the Mrs. Palin can't even see what her party is doing to her, and this woman could be the next vice president. (I hope not, but???) I have a problem with that. What's your opinion?
There is a Hilarious Jon Stewart piece that he did this week which shows Lieberman as Droopy dog and Thompson as Foghorn Leghorn. It is hilarious. If you want to see the segment of that show that features Lieberman and Thompson.
It is funny how much Lieberman looks like Droopy Dog and how much that Fred Thompson not only looks but sounds like Foghorn Leghorn.

I just read an interesting piece by John Nichols in THE NATION. Here is part of it and the link to the rest:
ST. PAUL – Forty years ago, mounting a comeback campaign after losing a presidential race eight years earlier, Richard Nixon secured the Republican nomination and then selected as his running-mate a former local official who had served a scant twenty months as the governor of a small state.
The choice was questioned by pundits and mocked by Democrats. They called the vice presidential nominee: "Spiro Who?"
But when Maryland Governor Spiro T. Agnew hit the campaign trail, he did so as "Nixon's Nixon" – the attack dog the party needed to take the opposition apart while making the Republican presidential nominee look presidential.
It was the same role that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin assumed Wednesday night at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live. Inking her initials on the legislation — “SP” — Palin reduced funding for Covenant House Alaska by more than 20 percent, cutting funds from $5 million to $3.9 million. Covenant House is a mix of programs and shelters for troubled youths, including Passage House, which is a transitional home for teenage mothers.

It is irrelevant whether the trooper, Palin's brother-in-law "deserved" to be fired or not (and judging from his alleged behavior, I would not argue that point).
However this is what is at question here--Palin's use of the influence of her office in a way that is certainly not in accordance with ethical behavior, if not perhaps even the law.
1. She told her brother-in-Law's boss to fire the brother-in-law.
2. When the boss did not, Palin fired her brother-in-law's boss.
She claims it was because of a budget issue.
LOOKS TO ME LIKE WE HAVE ANOTHER DECIDER ON OUR HANDS--ANOTHER ONE WHO FEELS FREE TO USE THE POWER OF THE OFFICE TO TAKE THE LAW INTO THEIR OWN HANDS.
Jill Tracy Jacobs-Biden. They celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary this year. He has two sons, Beau and Hunter, and a daughter named Ashley. He also has four granddaughters.
Jill was raised in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. She met Joe when she was at the University of Delaware. They were introduced by Joe’s brother. They dated for two years before they married. She married Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. on June 17, 1977 at the United Nations chapel in New York City. When she married Joe, she married him as well as his two sons from his first marriage. She has said that the whole family married, including going on the honeymoon together.
Joe Biden’s first wife, Neilia Hunter Biden, who he married in 1966, was killed in a car accident on December 18, 1972. His infant daughter, Naomi was also killed in the accident. Both of his sons, Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III and Robert Hunter Biden, were critically injured in the accident. The 29-year-old Biden was just a month away from taking his Senate seat for the first time. He took his oath of office in the hospital by their bedsides. Both of the boys completely recovered from their injuries.
In addition to Joe’s two sons, Jill and Joe had a daughter in 1981, Ashley Blazer Biden. Jill Biden is an English professor at the Delaware Technical and Community College. Professionally she has been a reading specialist, an English high school teacher and a teacher in a mental health institution.
She founded the Biden Breast Health Initiative that focuses on education of early breast cancer detection.

Like Obama, Biden's story is the story of the American Dream. Obama, a black American, raised by a single mother graduated with honors from Harvard and now aspires to the highest office in the land. Biden was raised in a poor catholic family in Scranton PA. A TOUGH family. LOL. His mother once paid him to go beat up a neighborhood bully who beat up Biden's younger brother.
Even though Biden has been in Congress for 30 years, he is still more like a regular American family man. Unlike other Senators who live in DC, Biden for 30 years has taken the train back to his home in Delaware every night. The people in Delaware don't know him as "the senator". They know him as their neighbor.

Here is another photo I took at the A.N.S.W.E.R march last September. There were a lot of parents there like this. Cindy Sheehan was also at this march.

Yes, but please don't ask him to remove the cowboy hat.

LOL. This was a huge, larger than life sign at the A.N.S.W.E.R. anti- war march in Washington DC last September that I attended.
As disgusting as these charges may be if they are false, if true they are as equally damning.
Some of you may recall that Boris Yeltzyn visited Bush the Elder's white house about the time in question. During a press conference Boris stated that Russia wanted to help us resolve this POW/MIA issue.
The people at the white house and in the news media nearly had a heart attack and quickly moved on to other "news".
This issue is far too important to ignore.
Thanks Jim.
