Our Educational Effort Began
In June an intensive educational effort began regarding the Bush project at SMU. It includes a website with interactive capability. You can find the website at http://www.whatwouldjwdo.net
Our goal is to persuade South Central Jurisdiction delegates to reject the SMU/Bush Foundation lease proposal when they meet in Dallas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel, July 15-19. We are seeking to convince the "court of public opinion" through the media that the SMU-Bush linkage is injurious to both SMU and the United Methodist Church (UMC) that owns the university. Please keep this issue in your prayers over the next several days.

Finally, please continue to encourage your friends and colleagues to sign the petition. Each name is important. We need to tell officials of the UMC at every level that we find that a partisan institute honoring George W. Bush at SMU to be "utterly unacceptable."

A Japanese venture company, Genepax, has unveiled a car on that runs on water. All it requires is a litre of water. In fact, any kind of water to be exact, whether its river, rain, sea water, or even Japanese tea. Its an electric powered car that runs solely on hydrogen dioxide.
"The main characteristic of this car is that no external input is needed. The car will continue to run as long as you have a bottle of water inside for you to add from time to time," said Kiyoshi Hirasawa, Chief Executive Officer of Genepax, after he proudly announced the company's invention.
Once water is poured into the water tank at the back of the car, the newly invented energy generator takes out the hydrogen from the water, releases electrons and finally generates electrical power.
"We highly recommend our system since it does not require you to build up an infrastructure to recharge your batteries, which is usually the case for most electric cars," said Hirasawa, who is hoping to advertise the car in time for the upcoming G8 Summit in Hokkaido, Japan.

These blogs will help ensure that communities across the country are connected to the Convention through the eyes and ears of a growing, diverse group of online voices.
Organizers also announced that blogs credentialed by the DNCC will have access to a dedicated "Blogger Lounge" inside the Pepsi Center, equipped with televisions, technology resources and workspace to facilitate their reporting. All bloggers will have access to the Convention floor, press briefing areas, caucus meetings, filing centers and other auxiliary events open to members of the media.

Months ago, we began the process of credentialing bloggers who cover state and local politics, as part of the DemConvention State Blogger Corps. More than 400 blogs applied for the program. And they’re incredible. Some blogs are the work of dedicated groups of activists, a few are full-time professional endeavors, and many others are the products of busy individuals blogging about local politics in their free time. Those selected to be part of our State Blogger Corps were announced today. And in every case, these bloggers have become experts on the political happenings in their states.
You’ll see a list below of the 55 blogs that will comprise the State Blogger Corps. They’ll be seated with their respective delegations at the Convention. These bloggers will have some of the best seats in the house and they’ll be the eyes and ears of local audiences online around the country. DNC Chairman Howard Dean recorded a message to introduce the program �" so I’ll let him explain the rest.
Is one of your favorite blogs missing from the list? We had hundreds of great applicants and only a few spots. This summer, President George W. Bush will smile while jaunting up the stairs to Air Force One - his laughable presidency all but over - with not a care in the world.
For 13 hours, he'll lie on a couch in the airplane, drink pomegranate-flavored water and watch reruns of Texas Rangers games from the glory days of Nolan Ryan and Jose Canseco
Eventually, he'll land in Beijing, China, for the 2008 Summer Olympics. He'll pose and smile for photos with great Chinese leaders.
You'll definitely read about it in the newspaper, and so will people just like you all over the world; and you'll probably feel pretty good when you do. Like a bottle of cheap gin the whole globe can pass around, the Olympics somehow make it okay to forget for a little while.
This is helpful for most of us, but somewhat unfortunate for the Tibetan people, whose struggle against occupation has gone on for nearly 60 years
In 1951, the Chinese government annexed Tibet and declared it part of China. In 1959, an uprising resulted in the expulsion of the Dalai Lama; since that time he has run a "government in exile" based in India and become a martyr for global political rights.
On March 10, in honor of the 49th anniversary of China's great experiment in the abuse of state sovereignty, Tibetan monks began to protest en masse the continued demonization of the Dalai Lama and China's efforts to ethnically cleanse Tibetans.
China, for its part, pledged to "resolutely crush" those people. Within days, it launched a fresh military campaign in the region. It kicked out journalists and declared no quarter on religious figures.
Anyway, a generation later, as a reward for Chinese progress and a concession that China has established itself as a modern global player, it gets to host the Olympics!
Irony in such high doses should be fatal.

Hillary Clinton knows the results in PA (less than 10 points) represent the end of her aspirations, she knows it is enough, but she appealed to subterfuges and antidemocratic tactics to get the nomination.
Mathematically is literally impossible win the nomination or finish at least as a front runner.
Then she appealed to the division of the party, she appealed to antidemocratic solutions, like ignore the VOTE OF THE MAJORITY!
Wow sound hard but it is true:
First at all, she said, the votes of MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA should be counted. But she only talks like that because she knew that count give her the advantage, but she do not deserve this advantage, at least in that way, because that collide with the rules of the party. The same rules she previously accepts. (That FLIP " FLOP is nothing estrange on her)
She knows keep running her campaign give some advantage to the Republican Party and his candidate in the general election. May be she want this because is clear that the Republicans al helping her in this primaries. (Pennsylvania exit poll show a lot of republican voting for her " Why? " Simple " actually the scenario of confrontantion between democratc gives McCain some advantage facing the general election)
Them this is the most important key:
Hillary knows she couldn’t finish these primaries as a front runner " Them she appealed to the decisions of the SUPER DELEGATES " WHY? - Because in her mind she really do not WANT to respect the VOTE of the majority of the people who participate in this primaries " Yes " HER EXPECTATION is that, the SUPER DELEGATES REVERSE THE DECISION OF THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION giving HER THE NOMINATION " no matter if she finish trailing the front runner ho has and earn THE VOTE OF THE MAJORITY.
This is HER REAL INTENTION OF HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON!
This is the DEMOCRACY IN WHAT SHE BELIEVE!

That is why she still and persist in this race " BECAUSE SHE DO NOT WANT to recognize the VOTE of the MAJORITY.
And that claim about the VOTES IN MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA is only part of her HYPOCRISY. And all of this rhetoric’s is part of HER GAME OF BUYING VOTES.

I just remember when I was a young man, long time ago your predecessor the Saint Father John Paul II and his apostolic visit to my lovely Venezuela, I just remember the crow and the cheer of the people and the enthusiasm of the young people like me, but when the first day come up I couldn’t forget when he shake my hand and kiss my face, when he went down from the pulpit and talk directly and frankly with us, that was one of the most important momentum of my live. I just remember his words and his sorrows about the people who suffer and the injustices; I just remember his uncommitted love for the kids and young people.
Just days ago, I listening and washing TV when I see a commercial about your visit and some kind of specific instructions to go in to the one of your massive mass in Washington DC. Yes, I just being astonishing when I hear this condition for security reason: “You have to show some kind of Government ID or Federal ID” in A clear allusion to prevent the assistance of thousands of people who live in this country “UNDOCUMENTED” no because they want. NO Saint Father, because the system is special designed to keep this people in the dark, in the shadow. Yes Saint Father the majority of this people are Hispanic, Catholic people who can be comforted by your words and prayers. Thousand of families are banned with these decisions, special designed for this people. Of course the security of the Saint father when he visit any country it is a priority and main concern of the governments, as a part of this security when I was young man I know this action is an excess, It is well know in the government spheres, if you want to secure an bring security to the Saint Father, first at all, check for arms of any king of explosives, I see this before and I don’t understands why and ID become an impediment to see an listen the spiritual leader of million of Catholics around the word special when they are Hispanic the most affected community for this decision. I don think so this is the recommendations Of the Vatican.

La señora Clinton en la búsqueda desesperada por los botos apela deshonestamente a los votantes de Michigan y Florida.
No se trata de negarles el derecho de expresarse a estos votantes en estos estados; se trata de que los miembros del partido de este estado desobedecieran las reglas previamente aceptadas por todos, comprometiendo de esta manera los electores que ellos representan.

John McCain, the Republican Party's presumptive presidential nominee, has "got a big problem” in his bid for the White House, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Monday night to Oklahoma Democrats gathered at a union hall.
"People really want change in this country,” Dean said to about 150 who turned out at the Teamsters Union Hall, 3528 W Reno Ave.
"They don't want four more years of George Bush. ... And the truth is that John McCain is four more years of George W. Bush,” he said.
McCain is committed to keeping troops in Iraq, has said nothing about taking care of homeowners who are having problems paying their mortgages and has offered no plan to change the economy's downward spiral, Dean said.
On top of that, Dean said, McCain is "wishy-washy,” having first come out against Bush's tax cuts but now wants to extend them, and having supported more immigration, but is now against it.
"We've had eight years of a president who says one thing and does something else in order to get elected,” Dean said. "We need somebody who's going to stand up for their principles and John McCain is not that person.”
Chris Taylor, Republican National Committee spokesman, said Dean's attacks on McCain are intended to divert attention from Democratic infighting.
Taylor said Oklahoma voters know McCain is the only candidate with the experience to lead the country from day one.
‘A great country again'
Democrats are energized about voting, the national committee chairman said, noting that 90,000 more Democrats than Republicans showed up in Oklahoma's Feb. 5 presidential primary.
"That's happening all over America,” he said
"We can have a great country again, but we've got to start caring about each other again,” the national committee chairman said.
Dean, who spoke in May during the Oklahoma Democratic Party's state convention, encouraged young Democrats" - singling out college students" - to seek elective office this year.
Oklahoma Democratic Party Chairman Ivan Holmes said 30 Republican seats in the 101-member state House of Representatives went uncontested in 2006. Holmes, who predicted Democrats would take back control of the House and Senate, said he still needs to find Democratic candidates for 25 uncontested seats.
