One of Iran’s missiles sounds more like a barbeque, but it's no picnic: Shahab. This site shows diagrams of the different sizes they're producing: http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/iran/missile.htm news reports claimed that Iran is developing a 3,500-mile (5,632 kilometers) range missile called Shahab-6 that would be capable of reaching Europe. I read elsewhere that it's only capable of 2,000 miles, so this global security site (linked to government?) may be exaggerating, not sure. The technology for this system was cited as coming from Russia and North Korea. Shahab-4, 5, & 6 is in all probability China through a "Know How" technology transfer agreement requested by Iran. Another reason we should boycott the Olympics. Wonder if BO is going? Yep, they’re really going to take over the world with 50-300 scud B missiles and 50-150 scud C missiles and 25-100 Zelzal 3’s. Mkay. Notice it took 7 years to compile this information from year 2000. Compare to Iraq and what they had to go on: http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/iraq/missile.htm

Tony Blair should be held accountable, even more so than Lil B. It was his dossier that convinced Bush. After I reviewed this, I felt we were used as proxy, much like we use Israel in their proxy war. Unbelievably dirty, dirty, dirty. http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iraq/2002/iraq-020924-usia01.htm And his WMD evidence: http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iraq/2002/iraqdossier.pdf

7/22/2008 - ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam (AFNS) -- A joint-agency search continues for missing crew members following the crash July 21 of a B-52H Stratofortress bomber 25 miles off the northwest coast of Guam. The bodies of two of the six Airmen on board the aircraft have been recovered. Identities of the crew members are being withheld pending family notification. On-scene in a 900-square mile search area are crews with two U.S. Coast Guard vessels and the USS John McCain, an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. Additionally, Navy MH-60S Knighthawk helicopters from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 and U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles from the 389th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron joined a Navy P-3 Orion from Kadena Air Base in Japan. Guam police and fire department rescue units also joined the search. "The U.S. Coast Guard-led search effort has been extensive and the joint military and civilian team is thoroughly scouring the area in the search for survivors," said Brig. Gen. Douglas Owens, commander of the 36th Wing here. "Coast Guard assets were on scene within 45 minutes of the accident, and the teamwork we've had with them, the Navy and other local and federal agencies has been tremendous," General Owens said. "We recognize, however, that the longer this search continues the less likelihood there is that we'll find survivors. Although we continue to hold out hope, we've had no encouraging indicators that our Airmen survived this crash,'' he said. "Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family members and friends of our missing aircrew as we continue our search and rescue efforts." The aircraft was reported missing at approximately 9:45 a.m. Monday. The bomber was flying a training mission and was scheduled to perform a flyover celebrating Guam's Liberation Day. There were no weapons or munitions aboard the aircraft. The B-52 was deployed here from Barksdale AFB, La., as part of the DOD's continuous bomber presence mission in the Pacific. A board of officers is investigating the accident. More information will be released as it becomes available. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/news/2008/07/mil-080722-afpn03.htm

Natanz and Arak are the two sites where Iran decentralized gas centrifuges are and what we should keep an eye on.

The Media's in Love with Barack Obama

It's pretty obvious that the media has a bizarre fascination with Barack Obama. Some may even say it's a love affair. We want you to be the judge. We've compiled two videos of the more outrageous moments of this not so secret love affair. Follow this link to watch the two videos and vote on which one you think is better. Your vote will determine which video we put on the air.

The media is in love with Barack Obama. If it wasn't so serious, it would be funny.

Regards,

The McCain Campaign

You think the media is unfair to McCain? I don't, he's hearing exactly what he and his wife are. Morons. They've been getting excellent treatment until recently when he starts attacking BO when he promised he wouldn't.

You think the media is unfair to BO? I don't think so. The media made he and Hillary media darlings and why I called them "Twins" long ago.
John McCain and Barack Obama may think the economy is in "a shambles," but the economy was showing "remarkable resilience." And while it was "not growing as it should, it was growing nonetheless." Lil B

"Gaaw-aawl-ly" and "Surprise, surprise, surprise!"

Think he should apologize to us for holding us hostage to our credit cards and the fuel pump?

Waste NO TIME in impeaching these men. Who cares if it galvanizes the GOP, there are GOP jumping ship, they don't want to get sucked down the drain...and they ARE going to leave, we'll see to it.
I can't even recite my family history from 10 years ago, let alone 20, or even 100 years. Can you?

I've had to apologize ever since I learned about slavery. I think I speak for many in that we are sickened by our history of slavery, but we shouldn't have to keep apologizing or have a threat held over us that money will satisfy. People suffered hard times back then and blacks even more. But there were a few blacks that were treated fairly and sheltered from the offenses. I visited castles where blacks were hidden and allowed to read, they were fed, clothed better than whites. We should remember slavery, so we never commit this crime against humanity, but we must move on and continue to unite our society, rather than harbor bitterness and stir emotions and point fingers. We've grown as a nation, let's keep growing.

We should focus on the class that has no voice: our troops and children without health care.

Things might not be 100% fair - that goes for every human being, but relations between blacks and whites, I would say is at 99%. I see the bright side, we have laws to protect all humans, regardless of color and have placed those provisions in all working environments, we're fairer than most countries. That said, we've come a long way baby, it's time to focus on moving forward, not backward and shaming by pointing fingers.

I apologize again, but I shouldn't be shamed to do this. I'll do it when and if I want.
At each stop, he let out the same battle cry: a populist attack on big oil, big pharmaceutical companies, big insurance companies and corporate lobbyists in Washington. Then he described the "powerful insiders that had rigged the system against the ordinary working man, leaving him poorer, degrading the environment and blocking access to affordable health care."

Another Hint:
"I've been fighting these people all my entire life.
We've got to stop being mealy-mouthed and careful. We've got to get rid of the robber barons. We need to have some guts."
And this persons voice rose, "It makes me angry. I feel outrage. I won't let them get away with it."

Can you guess who said these things?

As many of you know Catholics have been a stronghold for the GOP due to pro-'life' issues (I use then term lightly).

Due to the pope's stand against the Wa, Catholics are joining to put Dems in office around the country and anti-war candidates in office throughout the world.

This is an exert from an email I received today from a friend:

Lots of news from Sydney (Australia) during the GMG (Catholics Young General Meeting).

The huge community that reach this far Country comes from...USA !

More than 15.000 Us catholics, guided by Cardinal Francis George (tomorrow he will celebrate a Mess for all Us citizen) reached Sydney, about 1.140 groups from all over US.

With them, a selected group of 22 (17 girls and 5 boys) who will pass the news to Home, as they learned in a lamp course of journalism how stay tunes with the thousands at home, posting blogs through Internet in My Catholic Voice.

In the last visit in USA the voice of the Pope was been very clear : stop the bad things in the World !  Stop the Wars!

Your italian friend, from Australia

There are also many groups at the Obama site who are Catholics.

Thought it would be helful, for me at least, to share some of our sources.  I know I would love to have some good sources and reads added to my repitoure.

Here's a few sources I like and are good reads:

A few things about Lieberman our 'Independent Democrat'. Saw him this morning on Fox and he said he would speak at the GOP Convention in support of McCain but would not speak out against Obama.

Wondering what people thought.

1. Do you think it would hurt or help McCain if Lieberman was McCains VP?

2. Do think it is appropriate that the Dem caucus boots Lieberman if speaks at the GOP Convention?

I hope we win enough Dem Senate seats to boot his arse and still hold a majority.

Congress Should Not Endorse a Blockade of Iran

Wexler, Frank, and Thompson have conceded that HConRes 362 effectively calls for a blockade.
http://www.justforeignpolicy.org/involved/hconres362.html

Go Wexler go!

Impeach these morons now. We should be flooding this board with impeachment posts calling all the politicians to vote I, in favor of impeachment. Now is the time.
"I know how to win wars. I know HOW to win wars." ~~lil McCain

Three Questions for Mc Cain:
1. WHEN did you win a war? Viet Nam wasn't a declared war, we did NOT win there and YOU can not single handed-ly or backhandedly win a war.

2. What do you win in a war? A trip to Disneyland?

3. Who in the hell advises you on this war rhetoric?

4. Do you think leaking BO's name to the terrorist enemy will help win the war? Is that your war strategy? Will it cost tax payers more money if BO were to become a casualty, or a POW?

5. What is a uranium gas enrichment centrifuge and what is it used for? Ask lil B.

A few months ago, Democratic voter registration surpassed Republican.  We held our state Democratic convention and had over 3,000 people attend....more than 2,000 more than usual.  Now, here comes even better news....the Republicans couldn't get enough delegates to RSVP their state convention to get a quorum, so they're cancelling!  This is shocking!

Dust off those blue, suede cowboy boots, people!

GOP cancels state convention; panel to pick Nevada national delegates

We will have a forum on woman's rights Friday night, beginning at 6 Eastern time.  Please join our discussion on this very important issue at PB Bloggers on the Obama site.

Joe Biden.
Biden beat Edwards in the finals by a vote of 5-4.

Biden seems to be the one that is doing the best among people. He won this tournament, He was named the most Likely to be VP by Chris Mathews this week, he finished a close second to Clark in the CQ VP Madness and is the front runner in the MSNBC Veepstakes.

although I voted for Edwards I think he would help the ticket. He brings Foreign Policy experience, which people think Obama is Lacking. he helps bring liberals and Moderates together.

I think geographically he helps in Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Colorado.

Biden is a very good choice.
