On Tuesday, EJ broke the story of an Obama volunteer actively campaigning inside of a polling location in Marion County, Indiana.

Looks like this wasn't the only case of electioneering caught on camera.
WTVW Fox-7 reports "On Tuesday, a poll worker in Evansville Indiana made sure voters knew they were stepping into 'Obama's House'." Video below.
Special thanks to the reader who brought this to our attention on the EJ Tipline.

Obama Campaign Caught Cheating in Indiana -- Illegal Electioneering at Precinct (ABC)
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/05/electionjournal.html
We noticed an Obama volunteer set-up directly across from the voter check-in table actively courting voters. The sign read OBAMA FOR AMERICA. She would not identify herself and directed us to call the campaign for information.
This is against the rules. Where were the board of elections and poll workers? They should have removed the signs and asked the people who brought in the signs to exit and stay at least 10 feet from the door.

Unity is the Key in 2008: As I've been meeting with people since the primary election, I can tell that Democratic voters in the 5th district are unifying behind our campaign and identifying with our message. Before the primary election, I felt certain if the Democratic candidates made our campaigns about the important issues and trusted the voters to make their choice on election day, it would be easy for Democrats to unite behind the winner for the general election campaign. ...Which brings us to Hillary Clinton running for president. This brilliant woman believes that she can compete for the most powerful office in the world. She believes that she can do a better job than any of the men running to lead our country through these challenging times. And millions of Americans, women and men, believe that she is correct.
Yet over and over again the media and her opponents have claimed that she is defeated -- it's over, she can't win, she's a loser. And over and over again -- in New Hampshire, on Super Tuesday, in Texas and Ohio, in Pennsylvania last month, and in Indiana this week -- female voters poured out of their homes to cast their ballots for her. They know that women can compete, and they want to make sure that women, especially this woman, can win. ...
So here we are in the fourth quarter of the nominating process and the game is too close to call. Once again, the opponents and the media are calling for Hillary to quit. The first woman ever to win a presidential primary is supposed to stop competing, to curtsy and exit stage right.
Why on earth should one candidate quit before the contest is finished? Democrats need not be so fainthearted. Both of the party's remaining candidates have raised tens of millions of dollars. Both have the respect of Democrats nationwide. Each has a progressive agenda that stands in stark contrast to Sen. John McCain and his adherence to Bush administration policies.
So why are some Democrats so afraid? We simply need to count every vote, let the remaining states have their say and see the process through to its conclusion. ...

Another Texas superdelegate backs Clinton [Rep. Ciro Rodriguez, D-San Antonio]
Associated Press
May 9, 2008, 7:37PM
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/5768673.html
DALLAS - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton picked up another endorsement from a Texas Democratic superdelegate for the party's presidential primary.
Rep. Ciro Rodriguez, D-San Antonio, announced Friday night that he is endorsing Clinton.
"A big reason is because his district voted so overwhelmingly for her, that's one of the biggest reasons," said Rodriguez' spokesman Josh Rosenblum.
Rodriguez said in a statement issued by the Clinton campaign that he still believes she can win.
"Not only can she win, I am convinced that she will be a truly great president," Rodriguez said. "In two areas of special importance to me, caring for our veterans and improving our schools, Hillary has been a real leader. I am happy to follow the clear choice of my constituents and support Hillary for President."
Rosenblum said Rodriguez has spoken to Clinton in the past few days but she didn't pressure him.
"This was something he decided on his own," Rosenblum said. "It's something he's been considering and thinking about. The presidential election is not his primary concern."
Of Texas' 32 Democratic superdelegates - the unpledged delegates who are free to decide which candidate to support - 14 have committed to Clinton and 12 to Sen. Barack Obama.
Six remain uncommitted: U.S. Reps. Nick Lampson and Linda Chavez-Thompson, David Hardt, Bob Strauss, Boyd Richie and Betty Richie.

New Oregon Ad: Ambassador Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame Say Hillary Best To End Iraq War, Bring Troops Home
5/9/2008
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=7616
Former U.S. Ambassador Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame Wilson say Hillary Clinton has the strongest plan to end the Iraq War and bring our troops home safely in a new TV ad airing in Oregon.
The 30-second spot, entitled "Strongest Plan," comes as Oregonians vote by mail in the run up to the state's May 20th primary.
The Wilsons played a critical role in drawing attention to the Bush Administration's exaggerated claims about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and have been outspoken critics of the conduct of the war.

Mother's Day celebration started at Andrews Methodist Church, Grafton, West Virginia, 1908

The Founding of Mother's Day
http://www.mothersdayshrine.com/history.php
On May 1, 1864, in the little village of Webster, four miles south of Grafton, West Virginia, Granville and Ann Jarvis welcomed their daughter, Anna Jarvis, into the world. The Grafton area was an important railroad center during the Civil War and Mrs. Jarvis' birthplace had served as a temporary headquarters for Gen. McClellan in 1861.
During the war years, Ann Jarvis worked very hard to provide nursing care and promote better sanitation, which helped save thousands of lives on both sides of the conflict. After the war, she continued her work to help heal the wounds of the war years and bring families and communities together again. Young Anna received her basic education in the public schools of Grafton and attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia.
In 1902, after the death of Granville Jarvis, the family moved to Philadelphia. It was there that Ann Jarvis passed away on May 9, 1905. Two years later, in 1907, on the second Sunday in May, Anna invited several friends to her home in Philadelphia, in commemoration of her mother's life. On this occasion, she announced her idea - a day of national celebration in honor of mothers - a Mother's Day.
The following spring, Anna wrote to the Superintendent of Andrews Methodist Church Sunday School in Grafton, suggesting that the church in which her mother had taught classes for twenty years, celebrate a Mother's Day in her honor. The idea appealed to Mr. Loar and on May 10, 1908, the first official Mother's Day service was held in the church. Anna established the white carnation as the symbol of the celebration and developed other text and visual tools in honor of the event. It was Anna who coined the term, "Mother's Day Association", used during the period she was developing her concept of what Mother's Day should be. Subsequently, West Virginia Gov. William E. Glasscock issued the first Mother's Day proclamation on April 26, 1910. In 1912, at the General methodist Conference in Minneapolis, MN, Anna was recognized as the founder of Mother's Day. A joint resolution in the United States Congress designated the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day. The official resolution was approved by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914.
Since 1908, a celebration for mothers has taken place at the Andrews Methodist Church, now known as the International Mother's Day Shrine, in the town of Grafton, West Virginia. This historic building has been designated a national historic Landmark and is the focal point in the town's preparation for a centennial celebration of the first Mother's Day in May, 2008.
