Doesn't that just say it all, folks? Drive an SUV, so you cooler to your neighbors...except your neighbors are in foreclosure because they can't afford their SUVs or McMansions any longer either. There are people in this country facing crises because of economic downturn, medical bills, divorce, death of a spouse, delinquent child support, etc. And then there are many others who are reaping the fruit of their own gluttony and desire to impress their neighbors by living above their means.
I'd love to have a chance to talk to this mother who would rather contribute to our troops being overseas protecting her precious oil than drive a hated mini-van. Trust me....when people speed past me on the roads as I'm poking along with my cruise control set at the speed limit and bumper stickers covering the back window, they don't think they're passing a soccer mom. They KNOW they're passing a damn, proud Democratic liberal who thinks McCain is Insane and Iraq oil = our troops' blood.
