Who We Are: The Miami Beach Democratic Club is a body of the Democratic Executive Committee in Miami-Dade County. Chartered under the Florida Democratic Party, we are charged with maintaining and building relationships between constituents in Miami Beach and their elected officials on Local, State, and National levels. Our membership is composed of individuals who seek active participation in the decision-making process of the Democratic Party on a local level. When & Where: The Miami Beach Democratic Club meets monthly at 7:00 pm on first Tuesdays. We meet at the VFW Post in The Floridian, 650 West Avenue in Miami Beach. Our Goals: To promote individual freedom within the framework of a just society, and political freedom within the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens. To elect Democrats as our representatives on the Local, State, and National levels. To strengthen the base of the Democratic Party through community outreach and visibility. To further Democratic causes and initiatives that will benefit all demographic areas and groups. What We Do: Assist in campaigns for Democratic candidates. Follow and support political issues of importance to Democrats. Take initiatives to promote and support Democratic principles and encourage membership in the Democratic Party. Register voters, to increase the number of Democrats in our County. Raise money for Democratic causes. Identify & support new Democratic leadership. Recruit and train Club volunteers at the grassroots level. Help set policy for the Democratic Party. Represent local Democrats in the Club at the local, State and National Level.
