Vanity Fair editors estimated that McCain's fierce saffron shirt dress with the popped collar, diamond earrings, four-strand pearl necklace, white Chanel watch and strappy shoes that she wore at the RNC last night totaled up to $313,100.
Did you hear the old boy last night? Distancing himself from his own party at their convention, how surreal.
And then in his speech he asks us to be part of his vision for government, but I could never figure out what that vision is. Well if this election is about a Vietnam War hero and about the 1970's then McCain is your kind of guy.
But as for me I heard nothing about the economy, nothing about the middle class, nothing about the future and how to really make the changes to bring this country back from the flames of depression. Change, change John McCain? Are you kidding me? Change from you? It was to funny to stupid to be believed last night. So, don't be fooled it will be more of the same, Bush 3 not McCain 1 that would happen if by chance McCain wins in November. May it never be Democrats! Elect Obama/Biden for the sake of our country we so dearly love.

Remember Zel Miller speaking in front of the RNC convention in 2004? And now Leiberman who is still mad at the DNC over the Ned Lamont issue. For spite Joe keeps trying to hurt his former party. When Leiberman called himself a Democrat last night I spit at the TV and cursed the SOB.
He is NO Democrat. He is a revengeful spiteful man who allows himself just like Zel Miller to be used by the Right Wing extremist RNC. Oh by the way where is Zel?

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed performed like Republicans yesterday and gave President Bush what he wanted. More spy authority which basically kills the 4th Amendment and legislation that gives the Telco's immunity from prosecution. Democrats and Republicans are now the same thing...maybe they always have been. Yes George Wallace wherever you are you were correct, "There ain't a dimes worth of difference between these two parties.

When I decided to run for president, I knew exactly why I was getting into this race: to work hard every day for the millions of Americans who need a voice in the White House. I made you -- and everyone who supported me -- a promise: to stand up for our shared values and to never back down. I'm going to keep that promise today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life. Obama has either dismissed or found irrelevant the middle class, single women over 40 all baby boomers and the elderly. Which leaves him a loser in November. For the sake of the party and winning the white house he should withdraw.

Obama? The far left of the party may be happy, but will voters across our great country? I don't know, but my gut to this point tells me this is not the direction dems should go to win back the White House.
The delegate numbers, Obama 1850 Clinton 1696. Less than 200 between them. 154 pledge delegates to be exact.

Because you don't get it, but we live it, and until you live like the rest of us working class family folk you will never get it. I suggest you take a weekend off and bed down with a rural family trying to make ends meet and put food on the table. Until then your just another politician with lofty goals and fancy phrases. Annie Oakley Hillary Clinton may be, but remember this Senator Obama, Annie Oakley was born in a cabin in rural Western Ohio, so that's two slaps at rural Americans you made in the last few days. What you said and your reaction to the politics of your rival were down right childish and snobbish. Get out of your lofty cloud and down to earth where real people struggle to keep hope alive, and another thing Senator we are NOT scared or clingy or bitter, but WE ARE of a STRONG will and a STRONG heart!
Sorry folks, Chris Matthews & Hardball on MSNBC are not a TV show combination I think very highly of. Matthews loves to hear himself talk and doesnt really care a rats ass what the American people think, although he salivates over what ever poll he chooses to quote for his benefit. But if Matthews feels that candidates like Obama may get elected and come to greater power; Chris turns the kiss ass machine on in high gear as he did on today's show. As he has done with many Bush appointees at the height of Bushs power.

As many Americans shake their heads at the Democrats, it seems inevitable that Democrats would blow another presidential election with all theyre in fighting. Some months ago it was dead certain that the Democratic candidate for president would have a leg up in the upcoming general election. Well no more, as the DNC runs true to form and screws up the primary election season.
The talk around the water cooler these days is how organized the republicans were and when they had a primary election every vote counted and the one candidate with the majority of votes won the election and the delegates. Gee what a concept, Democracy in action, one-person one vote, and the winner with the most votes gets the delegates.
To say once again the Democrats are handing the republicans another presidential election on a silver platter is an understatement. The Republicans have not run as weak a candidate for president since Bob Dole but Democrats seem to be hell bent to blow 3 presidential elections in a row.
And what is this caucus stuff anyway? Is America getting away from Democratic elections where all voters have a chance to vote for their chosen candidate? How amateurish and foolish Democrats look when they give all their delegates to a candidate who won a state caucus with on 125 votes where millions reside, highly elitist in view of many I have talked too.
Another huge blow for Democrats that paints the DNC as stupid and elitist is what happened in the Michigan and Florida primaries, where MILLIONS of VOTES were cast by Americans and the DNC the idiots blew off and pissed off millions of people who are giving the middle finger to
Howard Dean these days and rightly so.
The Democrats will not win the general election in the fall unfortunately because of their stupidity and in fighting. They will lose to a before hand weak and old Republican candidate who cannot thank Democrats enough for their obvious lack of seeing what the prize is...it's the presidency stupid. He or she who holds that office has the power and everybody else really has jack.
