Register to vote, and send Voltage to play at the Democratic National Convention. We have songs that are perfect for the event already written, and I am already the number one democrat at the DNC.
Read More »For the last filing period, Steve Driehaus, a Democrat from Cincinnati, outraised his opponent -- a Republican incumbent who has held the office for 13 years. This is pretty amazing! So many people have seen that he can take back this seat for us. The downside is that the incumbant has a huge war-chess and therefore has more cash on hand than Driehaus. I want to urge all PB folks to contribute what they can, even if it is $5 to keep this momentum going.
I know everyone is caught up in the primary debates, but let's help the congressional candidates too! This is a very winnable seat, with help.
The DCCC picked its latest slate of "Red to Blue" candidates and the list includes Steve Driehaus! According to the DCCC site these candidates
"earned a spot in the program by surpassing demanding fundraising goals and skillfully demonstrating to voters that they stand for change and will represent new priorities when elected to Congress.
These candidates have come out of the gate strong and the Red to Blue Program will give them the financial and structural edge to be even more competitive in November," said Chairman Chris Van Hollen, Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "The candidates for change in our first round of challenger Red to Blue are strong examples of Democrats who represent a commitment to new priorities for the families in their districts.
The Red to Blue program highlights top Democratic campaigns across the country, and offers them financial, communications, and strategic support. The program will introduce Democratic supporters to new, competitive candidates in order to help expand the fundraising base for these campaigns."
Driehaus offers an exciting opportunity to take back an important seat. I encourage anyone who can to help continue Steve's momentum by Contributing Now! or you can mail a contribution to Driehaus for Congress, PO Box 11101, Cincinnati, OH 45211.

I would really hate to see this blow up on Dems and end up being four more years of Bush style administration.
Lets also face another reality here. McCain can not win a debate on healthcare, economy or education against Hillary. However, if he is running against Obama, why yes he can.
WAKE UP !!! VOTE !!! WRITE YOUR SUPER DELEGATES !!! AND REPOST THIS BLOG !!!
p.s. This blog entry is not paid for by anyone and not in anyway endorsed by any candidate. It is merely based upon the convictions of its author.
My mother is on medicare and medicaid. Two Sundays ago she dropped a bag of potatoes on her foot. After seeing the black and blues, she decided the pain was bad enough to call medicare to see what to do about it. They told her to go directly to the ER. She told me later that they took xrays and gave her a fake shoe so she couldn't move the toe. It was sprained. My mother was greatful for having medicare because she said if not she would have had to pay the $1,200 bill herself.
Two years ago I was unemployed and sprained my wrist in an auto accident. Although I had no coverage at the time, I knew the state was going to start medicare coverage for me. In fact, the accident happened on the way to the caseworkers office to apply for it. I called a few clinics and doctor's offices, all of them telling me that if this was going to be covered and I could not pay at the time of service, I needed to go to the ER. I did. They took xrays and gave me a splint for my wrist. The bills [between doctor and xray and ER] came to just under $2,000. Two days later I got a new job and no longer qualified for the medicare. But I did qualify for paying the bill.
So, as we look for ways to cut the cost of care, $1,200 for a sprained toe and $2,000 for a sprained wrist might be a good place to start. If anyone reading this has access to Hillary or her staff, please, pass this up the line. Maybe she can use this to show she really is the one who should be president.
With this blog the 100,000 point level has been broken, and even though the points do not covert to cash they do show how much work you can do. If I the dial up boy can top 100,000 point level in six months then I know everyone else can do it too, so the more all of you use this website the more our right to freedom of speech is exercised. Please contribute your efforts as much as possible here, and rock n’ roll this country back to a democracy that we can all be truly proud to say is the best.
From my understanding there is a need for poll watchers needed for the polls on 02-05-08, and if you are interested you need to contact either me to pass it on to the person that got me into it here in Missouri, or you should contact someone locally ASAP. I do not know which states are in need of poll watchers, or exactly which polling places need them, but I will post a list of states below that are voting on 02-05-08.
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah
Just look back over the last twenty years there has never been a single month with deflation, and millions of Americans do not make a penny more in wages really.
