In my opinion Gov. Palin is committing political suicide by the hands of the Republican Party, and a desperate John McCain. This to me is nothing more than a political media stunt to wow the sheep of the GOP party, and a ploy to attract the hard core Hillary supporters that are stupid enough to play into this idiotic desperate attempt.

For those of you that are hard core Hillary supporters or for that matter Obama supporters, I stress the fact that I am nether. I am a democrat, and the powers that be have nominated Mr. Obama. That is my vote. And if I were to choose Obama would have my vote if I were an independent.

My point is the Mrs. Palin can't even see what her party is doing to her, and this woman could be the next vice president. (I hope not, but???) I have a problem with that. What's your opinion?

Very interesting article coming up from the opinion of a reader who is concerning about the situation in the Caucus. It seems to me finally the American opinion is taking conscientious about GEOPOLITICS and comprehends what the old fashion of politics of the 20th century is gone!

And for the sake and PEACE in this small rock called PLANET a new alignment of POWER will be welcomed soon rather than later.

Superpowers flex muscle, but at what cost?

Earl Beal - Terre Haute, Ind.

In the power politics of international relations, superpower behavior is governed by the concept of geopolitical spheres of influence. When a superpower nation meddles in the internal affairs of another and attempts to exert undue political or economic influence in its perceived sphere, that's when trouble starts.

The trouble started when President Bush pressured Poland and the Czech Republic to establish a missile-defense system in their territories. This policy was then, and continues to be, seen by some as a direct threat to Russia, not to mention Bush's push for democratic reforms in former Soviet Republics still considered vital to Russia's national security interests.

Also, if Russia placed ballistic missiles in Cuba and/or Venezuela, this would constitute a direct threat to the U.S. Washington's hue and cry over such a move would be surpassed only by Bush's hypocrisy when he and his Pentagon took the "dramatic," "brutal" and "disproportionate" measure of invading a sovereign Iraq in 2003. As a result, what do we have?

The hemorrhaging of our national treasure in terms of lives lost.

Thousands of courageous people wounded.

A cost of more than $10 billion a month to finance this fiasco.

5 million Iraqi refugees scattered and without homes.

Percy H Florez

While the American media is bluffing about the “Invasion of Georgia” the Bush administration just receive a lap in his face as a consequence of his erroneous and horrendous mishandling of the situation in the Middle East; special remarks on his attitudes an action in the illegal war in Iraq.

With the weather getting worse and worse every year, when is the government going to wake up and stop turning a blind eye to global warming. While we watch flash floods becoming common place due to record rains, and tornados ravishing the Midwest almost daily. Not to mention the fact that hurricanes are becoming stronger every year our government seems to just close their eyes like it is going to go away. Not to mention what they obviously will due when a disaster actually happens. Katrina and New Orleans is a perfect example of that.

The rest of the world is looking at solution, and we choose to ignore it. Are we that greedy we can’t see were killing ourselves in the long run. Mother Nature is saying it’s payback time for destroying her planet, and if we don’t start thinking this as a priority number one issue, she will wipe us off the face of this planet. Please I urge all of you to write your representative about this.

I really dont know what to do about the results of the hearing. It is very unsettling to me already that the democratic party actually considered the thought of stripping someones right to vote regardless of the "rules." Yes, I am a Clinton supporter but would feel the same way if I was a supporter for Obama or even McCain. The very thought of removing someones right to vote or any other rights really disturbs me. This party is almost to thirsty for power when it does things like this. I am really considering becoming an Independent. Of course I would still vote Democratic principals, but I don't know that I can feel good about belonging to a party that does this to its own people. Of course it doesn't matter because its not the general election right? WRONG! Anyway, I found this article on Cnn.com. I was glued to the tv watching all this in disbelief. The comments to the story really got me thinking. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/06/01/angry-clinton-supporters-tell-party-leaders-lets-go-mccain/#comments

I would like to take some time off the norm around here. (Obama / Clinton crap) and try a little fresh air for a change. After coming down off the ceiling, while watching Glen Beck on CNN Headline news today, (Obviously a republican idiot.) I calmed down and wrote this.. I am amazed at this guy and can only pray there are not too many people like him. Getting to the point this idiot is blaming the oil crisis on polar bears. Yep you heard me right, Polar Bears… Now I don’t claim to be a tree huger, but I am aware that global warming is an issue that we all need to pay attention to it and the bottom line is oil supplies are running out. But this guy is blaming the fact that oil prices are the way they are because of laws protecting the polar bear and the Alaskan wild life. With gas at $4.00 a gallon, and oil companies showing record profits I say bullshit.

I was sitting here wondering how change works. Obama says that he is here to change the face of politics. How exactly does he plan on doing that? Its not a new idea, many before him ran on the same premise. If change is to happen, then it has to happen from the bottom up. The house and the senate are the place for change right? The president does not write change, he can only sign it. If Obama was serious about his vision of change don't you think we would have seen some legislation supporting his vision? To me, hes just another politician buying votes with empty notes.
