To many times this year I said the economy is in CONTRACTION.
On March 27 I published one post with the following name: It looks like the Titanic's History! The Economy
Everywhere outside the inner circles of Washington are talking about the economy is in recession, economists around the country are talking with data in hand and statistical methods and models, sustaining the economy is in recession.
But only the lurid government of George W Bush and his political puppets of both parties won’t to acknowledge this irrefutable reality.
One main principle in economy is the fact first and foremost recognize the crisis in the exactly magnitude where is it, with this data you can structure a plan capable to reverse this economics behaviors, otherwise any false analyze could worsened the crisis.
At this point here is is the majuscule irresponsibility of the government and the political statement of both parties, when they do not want to recognize the economy is in recession. As Germany did few weeks ago.

Here is now the new reality, banks are failing, big manufactures are failing, small businesses are failing, the construction industry is failing long time ago,
Means, two of the biggest employers of this country are failing (Construction & Smalls business).
Yes, if you think the automakers or the business associates with the markets are the biggest employers you are dead wrong and this is exactly this politician of the status want to sell in order to continue putting inorganic money at the expense of the taxpayer.
These actions now are compromising at least the next two generation of Americans and they are going to pay huge for this government irresponsibility.
No one can assume this crisis is going to be resolved by any means in the next ten or fifteen years if “only if” the next administration took the necessary structural steps of corrections.
In terms of UNDO this economic crisis: “the fail of one year represent 10 years of setting back”
With this equation, President Elect Barack Obama has to deal. He has no choice! And there are not excuses about the world are in crisis or so on.
Yes, the world is in crisis, and this crisis is the failure of this ECONOMIC MODEL.
The new realignment if underway, now depend of each government how to handle the situation to prevail or to fail.

Since the last weekend just am participating in the fiercest battle against those groups who are trying to organize a big Rally on day ONE against Barack Obama in the issue about immigration.
The list serve of many Hispanic groups in the Barack Obama web site is flooding profusely in message about this MARCH!
The organizer has nothing to say about it.
Suspicious:
I just am wondering why suddenly too many born American citizen are behind this March and are pushing our community to do so.
The answer for many Hispanic people in this group is prudence and organization before doing something like that. 85 percent or more of the participants in this discussion are Hispanic people talking and pressing for measure and organization, the others (few) are in favor of the MARCH and these unknowns born American citizens are vehemently pushing for the MARCH against BARACK OBAMA.
My questions are:
Why this MARCH on day ONE?
Why this fellow Americans are very interesting in this action against Obama?
Why they are pushing our community to do something like that on day ONE?

On Wednesday I receive one of the most heartbreak emails ever. A Heart Break E-mail and I posted the entirely email as it, as a proof of what is happen in the VETERNAS ADMINISTRATION (VA).
VA literally is broken in his finances and the bureaucracy in this department follow a steady course, those facts are the principals cause of dissatisfaction for many VETERANS who are rightfully entitle to receive the assistance they deserve from the VA.
This soldiers practically are begging to the VA for solutions, THE ONLY THINK THEY WANT is receive a respectfully treatment, They want his payments on time and the necessary medical assistance they need, They want to be loved by his country as they much loved it.
Not enough was the discovering of the disastrous mistreatment they suffer in the Walter Reid Hospital, they receive promises and some improvement, just the necessary actions to calm down the media, but the really true is nobody is talking about the continue injustice this proudly HEROS receiving every single day from the VA.
If there is some institution in this country need a BAILOUT is the VA, they has the great responsibility of taking care of all VETERANS?
Of course at this point there are not EXTRAORDINARY session of the CONGRESSMAN favoring any solution in this mess of the VA, NOT special declarations of the Speaker of the House, or the Majority Leader calling for immediate and expedite solutions of the SOLDIERS problems dealing with the VA, as they did easily in FAVOR of the corrupted institutions in wall street.........NO, there are NOT prefabricated NEWS CONFERENCE voicing for a quickly and smart solutions for the VETERANS ADMINISTRATION , there are NOT RUSH to solve his problems, NO pressure to the people and fancy explanations to secure VOTES.
At the end of the day nothing is going to happen, may be they think …….. THEY ARE TOO LITTLE AND TOO POOR.
It’s incredible and hard to believe, these two young soldiers practically begin for money because the VA unwariness’.

Why does the Congress ISSUE a rush and fair “BAILOUT” to the VETERANS ADMINISTRATION (VA) solving definitively and permanently all the PROEBLEMS THEY SURELLY HAS, as a real signal of gratitude for all what this soldiers did, after all is his responsibility's to do so.
Just am calling for some justice and sensibility to the attention of the President-Elected Barack Obama, I do not expect nothing being solve by the Bush Administration.
Just am calling to the leaders of the Congress for an EQUAL TREATMENT for these citizens, who with his WATCHS and exposures in dangerous way are granting the LIBERTY AND SECURITY of his countryman and them as congressmen’s they fully enjoyed.
This proudly man’s and women’s of the United States Armed Forces, HERO’S of the past and present wars, deserved nothing less than EQUAL TREATMENT, quickly and expedites solutions for the VETRANS ADMINISTRATION (VA), as others entitlements or institutions recently receive from the United State Congress.

Succumb to the immense pressure of the lobbyist companies in favor of the automakers he probably loose the great opportunity he has now to reshape the country and all this mess in to successfully and productive economy.
When I see Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and all this lawmakers make pressure in favor of this incense policy instead have measure due to the big failure of the previous bailout they craft in the most irresponsible act of congress since the great depression. I have not doubt how much power this industries have.
In conclusion is time for real change instead throwing the money to the trash using this money for companies who already are dead because they fail to be competitive and productive.
I am not against these companies, I like the GMC Subaru, but in terms of competitiveness they are out of the market; they can’t compete in any way with his close competitors like Toyota or Honda. These two foreign automakers as an example invest a lot of money in this country, building lines of production that send to the market products made by Americans hard workers full of competitiveness among of quality and price.
By the way I just heard today this automaker from Detroit who are begin for government bailout using the taxpayer money, have a huge investment in the markets; they are bankers too, and they profited for a lot in this business, then now this is one of the reasons they are in troubles. They want easy money and they playing hard in the game of taking risk instead of made real changes in his line of production and adequate his products according to the new reality.
I just wondered if the new administration can resist such behavior and temptation instead made structural correction to the economy.
I hope Barack Obama don't loose the great opportunity he receive clearly form the people of this country and don't defraud the next generation of Americans who are watching very close what his going to do.

We did it!
Barack stepped up and asked for our help and we answered the call. I am so happy that this campaign has succeeded …this movement, as Bill Schneider of CNN put it. This movement has opened up a dialogue among people who held similar views and concerns who were not speaking to each other. We united and spoke not only to each other, but also to those who tried to suppress our voices. But the work (and we have put in so much work already) has only just begun. There is so much to work on…
The Economy
Fix our crumbling infrastructure
Quality healthcare for all
Ending outsourcing of jobs
Ending our dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels in general
Development and implementation of truly alternative energy sources-solar, wind, hydro and biofuel
Working on global warming
Improving our image abroad-engaging in diplomacy…not unilateral military action…getting out of Iraq…targeting real terrorism
More fairness in the tax burden to all
Revoke the PATRIOT Act and restore privacy
These issues/priorities are all interrelated. The economy can not stay balanced when you cut the revenue coming in and increase spending at the same time. The incursion into Iraq is costing $10 to $12 billion a month and this does not count Afghanistan or the $$$ sent to terrorist nation for oil imports. The threat of terrorism, increase in global warming and its terrible impact on all of us (the world) is heightened due to our reliance on fossil fuels. Development and implementation of truly alternative energy lessens the effects of global warming, lowers the threat of terrorism, and helps to create jobs here that will help our economy. Fixing our crumbling infrastructure helps us to live better and safer and again, provides jobs. We can not continue to have jobs outsourced to other countries because it is cheaper for the corporations without regard for the citizens of this country. Also, large corporations and the truly wealthy need to pay their fair share of taxes and not put the burden on the faltering middle class and middle income folks. Quality healthcare for all…it makes for a better quality of life, we are happier and healthier and able to do more. We feel less threatened and more secure. If all of this can be accomplished, then our government will not need to spy on and keep such close tabs on us citizens. We will be happier, more secure and less afraid.
For the first time in a long time, I am proud to be a citizen of the United States of America and am PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

What can I say? I voted for Obama and then practically held my breath as the results came in. I watched with 2 friends and we had major sugar highs...we ate candy pumpkins every time Obama won a state...and also, when a new Dem senator was announced. I do not want to look at candy for the rest of the week!!! Of course, I am still wondering about Al Franken in Minn....that race is so close. I watched everything and went to bed late...I am so tired....but so happy and relieved. I think we have a chance to really change and fix this country...our economy...and achieve real peace and more fairness in the world.

Yet another Republican has endorsed Obama....William Weld, former Republican governor of MA! If McCain is declared the winner on Nov. 5 or later....it will be yet another stolen election.
I check out the McCain website every now and again and discovered that he now has something called 'McCain Space'...and while I was volunteering at the local Obama HQ, I mentioned it to a college student also volunteering. I checked it out and it seems like a silly and late imitation of this site and MyBarackObama. The student pointed out it was started with less than 100 days til Nov. 4 and that when people first went to sign up for a 'McCain Space' that the interface to actually sign up was non-existent. CNN featured this...I don't know how I missed it...but, I find it most interesting. First, McCain steals Obama's slogans....now, his web presence and flubbed up there too!
I was playing a game...and a bit of news came on the site....Sarah Palin at a rally citing how she and John McCain are standing with "Joe the plumber" and..."Ed the dairyman". Has anyone else heard this and who is "Ed the dairyman'?
was very pleasantly surprised at Powell's endorsement of Obama. I like the way he explained his decision...it is a reasoned and lucid one. I suspect that only those who have decided that they hate Obama(for whatever the real reason...)are still voting for McCain.

The World Trade Center was bombed five weeks after President Clinton took office in 1993; the Madrid train bombings took place three days before national elections in Spain in 2004; car-bomb attacks were attempted in London and Glasgow days after a new British prime minister took office in 2007.
The debate last night went well. I especially liked the look of frustration + on McCain's face while Barack remained calm and composed as John McCain went after him. The other thing I want to post is from yesterday's New York Times...excerpts from "Poll Says McCain Hurts His Bid by Using Attacks.
"The McCain campaign's recent angry tone and sharply personal attacks on Senator Barack Obama appear to have backfired and tarnished Senator John McCain mor than their intended target, the latest New York Times/CBS News poll has found.
After several weeks in which the McCain campaign unleashed a series of strong political attacks on Mr. Obama, trying to tie him to a former 1960's radical, among other things, the poll found that more voters see Mr. McCain as waging a negative campaign than Mr. Obama. Six in 10 voters surveyed said that Mr. McCain had spent moare time attacking Mr. Obama than explaining what he would do as president; by about the same number, voters said Mr. Obama was spending more of his time explaining than attacking.
Over all, the poll found that if the election were held today, 53% of those determined to be probable voters said they would vote for Mr. Obama and 39% said they would vote for Mr. McCain.

Voters who said their opinions of Mr. Obama had changed recently were twice as likely to say they had grown nore favorable as to say they had worsened. And voters who said that their views of Mr. McCain had changed were three times more likely to say that they had worsened than to say they had improved.
The top reasons cited by those who said they thought less of Mr. McCain were his recent attacks and his choice of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his running mate....With the election unfolding against the backdrop of an extraordinary economic crisis, a lack of confidence in government, and two wars, the survey described a very inhospitiable environment for any Republican to run for office. More than 8 in 10 Americans do not trust the government to do what is right, the highest ever recorded in a Times/CBS News poll. And Mr. McCain is trying to keep the White House in Republican hands at a time when President Bush's job approval rating is at 24%, hovering near its historic low.

After several weeks in which the McCain campaign sought to tie Mr. Obama to William Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground terrorism group, 64% of voters said that they had either read or heard something about the subject. But a marority said they were not bothered by Mr. Obama's background or past associations. Serveral people said in follow-up interviews that they felt that Mr. McCain's attacks on Mr. Obama were too rooted in the past, or too unconnected to the nation's major problems.
What bothers me is that McCain initially talked about running a campaign on issues and I want to hear him talk about the issues," said Flavio Lorenzoni, a 59-year-old independent from Manalapan, N.J. "But we're being contantly bombarded with attacks that aren't relevant to making a decision about what direction McCain would take the country. McCain hasn't addressed the real issues. He's only touched on them very narrowly. This is a time when we need to address issues much more clearly than they ever have been in the past."

...roughly 7 in 10 voters said Mr. Obama had the right kind of temperament and personality to be president; just over half said the same of Mr. McCain.
Mr. Obama's supporters continued to be more enthusiastic about him than Mr. McCain's supporters, the poll found, and more of those surveyed said they had confidence in Mr. Obama than in Mr. McCain to make the right decisions about the economy and health care. And while mor than 6 in 10 said Mr. Obama understood the needs and problems of people like them, more than half sanid Mr. McCain did not.

This year's presidential election is among the most significant in our nation's history. The country urgently needs a visionary leader who can ensure the future of our traditional strengths in science and technology and who can harness those strengths to address many of our greatest problems: energy, disease, climate change, security, and economic competitiveness.
We are convinced that Senator Barack Obama is such a leader, and we urge you to join us in supporting hi m.
During the administration of George W. Bush, vital parts of our country's scientific enterprise have been damaged by stagnant or declining federal support. The government's scientific advisory process has been distorted by political considerations. As a result, our once dominant
position in the scientific world has been shaken and our prosperity has been placed at risk. We have lost time critical for the development of new ways to provide energy, treat disease, reverse climate change, strengthen our security, and improve our economy.
We have watched Senator Obama's approach to these issues with admiration. We espe cially applaud his emphasis during the campaign on the power of science and technology to enhance our nation's competitiveness. In particular, we support the measures he plans to take - through new initiatives in education and training, expanded research funding, an unbiased process for obtaining scientific advice, and an appropriate balance of basic and applied research - to meet the nation's and the world's most urgent needs.

I happened to be enjoying a cup of joe at a local cafe when Bush held a news conference this morning. The stock markets of the world are all down substantially and he was trying to reassure us (and the world???) that all will be well if we have patience. I quote Bush..."
