This is the problem with Palin. We know the GOP cannot talk about the issues because they have no answers, nothing but more of the same.
As long as we keep the chatter alive about Palin we don't discuss the issues.
No more Palin chatter. Let's discuss issues and mcCain. On those topics we win.
Let's talk about the topics that weren't even mentioned at the GOP Convention...the middle class, health care...ending the war, housing foreclosures, energy independence, the environment.........
Organize your neighborhood. If you don't know how...we'll help you. You can do it on your own or we'll do our best to hook you up with Democrats in your area that could use your help.
We have less then 60 days left and need your ideas and help.

Our campaign has successfully united for CHANGE on BARACKOBAMA.COM and other Democratic websites.
The grass roots efforts are expanding all across AMERICA. As we increase our attention to GOTV, Hosting and attending events and phonebanking, the attacks on our nominee have intensified. The intent is to distract and disrupt.
This tactic will not survive our unified decision to ignore. No Response, No Debate....Ignore.
We can do this,
Yes we can.

a Clear Politics article
by Victor Davis Hanson
Barack Obama and John McCain are running neck and neck.
Impossible?
It would seem so. Republican President Bush still has less than a 30 percent approval rating. Headlines blare that unemployment and inflation are up -- even if we aren't, technically, in a recession. Gas is around $4 a gallon. Housing prices have nosedived. Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, has been indicted -- another in a line of congressional Republicans caught in financial or sexual scandal. Meanwhile, the GOP's presumptive candidate, John McCain, is 71 years old. The Republican base thinks he's lackluster and too liberal.
So, everyone is puzzled why the Democratic candidate isn't at least 10 points ahead.

Subj: FW: Voting Rights
From: Heather Smith, Rock the VoteDear Rock the Vote staff,I was outraged when I found out the other day that the Department of Veterans Affairs has forbidden voter registration drives in its hospitals, rehab centers and other facilities.
This ban hurts thousands of young veterans who have been injured while fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. We should be helping our veterans register and vote, not making it more difficult.
Last week, the Senate introduced a bill to overturn the ban and allow states to require V.A. hospitals to offer voter registration to their clients.
Will you join me and ask your Senator to co-sponsor the “Veteran Voting Support Act”?

Banning the most basic act of democracy from Americans who have fought for our democracy just doesn’t make any sense. We need to stand up for our veterans--especially for the thousands of young veterans who are eligible to vote in their first presidential election.
Please contact your senators today.
Sincerely,
Heather Smith

Obama '08"
I didn't consider the song to be country but I guess it leans that way.
Hope you'll give it a listen and if you dig, pass it on to friends...
Consider this. Everyone has the same rights because they are Americans and are protected under the Constitution to express themselves freely. Many become upset when it appears we cater to any one group. No one group is protected any more then another. We are all given the same rights and have the same freedoms to express our beliefs.
If we become upset because our voices are being censored on this site or anywhere in a public forum we become outraged. Is it then fair to stifle the voices of others who do not share our beliefs and ideologies through intimidation and oft times harassment? Is it fair thay any group who share the same beliefs harasses and intimidates to the point of 70 people leaving the DNC site because they feel harassed due to their beliefs? Some have left and do come back. Some share their times between two sites. Some are gone from this site for good. Are their voices any less important than yours?
I publicly apologize for any remarks that I have made that were taken as offensive. I should keep beliefs that seem to offend others to myself. I ask that everyone does the same.
This site is a DNC site. The DNC stands in support of issues and candidates. Many here disagree with the Party’s platform and candidates, politicians and nominees. We have no problem stating our disagreement with the party line and Democratic political figures and party decisions but yet many draw a line in the sand when someone disagrees with us and then resort to personal attacks, intimidation and harassment.
We can agree to disagree without any offensive or intimidating remarks. Welcome the diversity that makes this party what it is, a ‘big tent for all’. Our diverse party shares many different beliefs and opinions. Make this site a place that welcomes opposing opinions and an honest exchange of ideas.
The other option is to continue to hurt, harass and intimidate people. The result of that will be a site where only those that agree with you blog here. You will have shut out voices that are as important as yours. I do not believe that is what anyone here wants.
