Four dollar a gallon gasoline? Why?

On June 6th, 2008 the average price of gasoline across the nation rose to $4 per gallon. “There’s nothing worse for our economy than surging energy prices at record highs,†said Mark Zandi, Chief Economist for Moodys.com. What do Jesse James and Big Oil have in common? Nothing if you believe the legends of Jesse James, who supposedly robbed from the rich and distributed his ill gotten gains to the poor. Big Oil robs from all of us and keeps the ill gotten gains for themselves.

Forcing democracy on a people?, with a war?

I am a Viet Nam War Veteran, and while in Nam I worked as a medical corpsman in an Combat Emergency Room. The shedding of the blood of our soldiers, the loss of limb and life, all the sacrifices made by our soldiers, should only have to be made for the United States of America, for our Constitution, and for the "People" of our Nation.

If other "peoples" want to learn about our democracy, let them come and learn about it, and share it..., we can not force it upon them...

Truth

Truth is a five letter word that has more meanings than needed. Or should we say a lack of meaning. What is truth? Is it that little guy that speaks to you (conscious). Or is it the bewildered fact that what we believe to be the truth is not the truth because in all essence we were raised to view the "whole truth" as a weakness. The belief that telling the whole truth will get me nowhere, but half the truth will get me a lot. Isn't half the truth the truth anyway. Telling half of the truth isn't lying or am I misunderstanding? Lying is not telling the truth at all. Therefore we should have the right to tell parts of the whole truth we deem necessary at that moment. We might not have told the whole story but we did tell the truth. You might say they are being deceptive. It is only deceiving if they are looking to gain something. If they are trying to put up an illusion to hide behind.
Unfortunatly this is the way our government exist. It exist in the lie. Our President has existed in the lie. The Rep. party has pulled a Chris Angel show that has had the American people in ahh. Unable to make a decision due the marvelous show.
