More than 100 Kentucky Leaders Endorse Hillary
by Jamie Radice, Kentucky Communications Director

After a decisive victory in West Virginia, the Clinton Campaign today announced its Kentucky Steering Committee, made up of more than a hundred leaders across the state that are endorsing Hillary for President.

“We are honored to have the support of so many respected community leaders throughout Kentucky, all dedicated to making Hillary successful in Tuesday’s primary,” said State Director Jonathan Hurst.

Today’s announcement is the latest example of Hillary’s growing momentum across the Bluegrass State. The campaign has opened offices across Kentucky, and Hillary, former President Clinton, and Chelsea have actively campaigned throughout the state.

Hillary’s Kentucky Steering Committee follows below.

AP: Clinton still has more union support

From
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080515/ap_on_el_pr/unions_democrats
By JESSE J. HOLLAND, AP Labor Writer
Thu May 15

But there is still a major union plum to be had, the AFL-CIO, the nation's largest labor organization.

The AFL-CIO and its 56 unions expect to spend an estimated $200 million on the presidential and congressional elections. However, the labor federation is still nowhere close to making an endorsement, focusing its energies instead on presumptive Republican nominee John McCain.

To win its formal backing, a candidate must have support from two-thirds of the union's 10 million members.

Including the Steelworkers, Obama has been endorsed by nine AFL-CIO unions and four unions from Change to Win, a rival labor organization.

Clinton still has more union support, having been endorsed by 13 AFL-CIO unions and Change to Win's United Farm Workers.

Are You a Veteran? Do You Know One?

Are You a Veteran? Do You Know One?

Many working men and women have done their part for our country through their service in the military.

In fact, veterans of the U.S. military returning to the job market are more likely to become union members than other workers. Six million union members, or 38 percent of all union members, are veterans of military service.

But many soldiers and sailors returning home to look for jobs today face severe difficulty. Eighteen percent of veterans recently back from tours of duty are unemployed. Of those employed since leaving the military, 25 percent earn less than $21,840 a year, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

We need your help as we fight for the rights of veterans in our ranks and for those re-entering the workforce from active service.

With so many new challenges facing veterans, we ask for your participation in our Union Veterans 2008 program.

To join up, please click here to take our Union Veterans 2008 survey:

http://unionveterans2008.questionpro.com/

We’d like to hear about you and your service to our country.

Veterans need policies that promote access to good jobs, protection of their re-employment rights and better education and training benefits through an expanded G.I. Bill. They also need a fully funded Veterans Affairs health care program.

We are calling for working families to join our campaign and speak out to hold government and candidates accountable on the needs of our returning heroes--not only during the 2008 campaign, but beyond.

Please click here to take our Union Veterans 2008 survey today:
For Jan MI & CO From Little Dine', T'a'a' iiyisi Ahe'hee for telling me of the feeling of the Elk and the Deer.

The Elk and Deer, I understand now, my grandpa reminded me of the following.
Like the Deer:
To always be aware and be gentle with the use of word and, thought and touch in my demeanor.
To hone my ability to listen and make wise decision. So as to merit gracefully the appreciation of beauty and balance thereof.

To learn and understand the what I require to survive, to be reciprocal and giving by making sacrifices for the power of Higher good, by choosing the alternative path that leads to good, so that my humble goals in life are not put in jeopardy.
_________________________________________________________

Like the Elk I must develop great stamina and resilience. Not to be as unpredictable as the Elk because I will not reach my goals. Not to allow falling into traps of anger. To be sensitive in signs of danger when attacked, or threatened. Stand my ground respectfully. Even if standing alone, but always with humility and wisdom of proper judgement, like the Elk uses his powerful antlers for defense.

To become more observant of subtile energies that surround me.
If not I will not become a true leader. I must keep my space sacred. I must master maintaining my emotional balance and keep agressiveness in check.

I must demand respect reciprocally and greatly prideful privately as publicly, and always guard against egocentrism. Always be humble and honest.
Peace.
Little Dine'
Post Data, I have already made my appology public.
It is already 10:30 west coast time.
I must say good night all. Grandpa sends his greetings. I must attend him. He is in need of his pain medication.

To all adult Fellow Bloggers on this PB SITE, I appologize to all for having disrespected all earlier.

Ya''at'eeh!
I humbly and truly from the heart appologize to all here except for the person known as, Real Politics101.
Earlier the latter individual attacked me by callimg me a Moron, with out provocation other than my having commented honestly on what the pundits were reporting from the O Factor with O'rielley, on fox news.
I lost my temper and I went off on him pretty badly. I later felt ashamed for having put on a spectacle and showing a bad side of me, which I assure will never happen again. I spoke to grandpa about it and he told me an appology was in order from me to all on PB, for having lowered myself to this individual's level.
I agree with my grandpa, I as a minor youth have disrespected the adults here that had no reason to see the foulness of the language I used.
Furthermore grandpa pointed out to me that a leader does not allow himself to be dragged into something of that nature.
Grandpa pointed out that I have to always take things with a grain of salt because this type of action is not honoring our ancestors and forefathers.I am obligated to follow grandpas wishes. He is a respected elder in our family, it is the right thing for me to do.
Again I appologize to all here.
T'a'a' iiyisi ahe'hee for understanding.
May the Great Spirit bless all here.

Announcing the [Denver convention] State Blogger Corps

Announcing the State Blogger Corps
http://demconvention.com/announcing-the-state-blogger-corps

Months ago, we began the process of credentialing bloggers who cover state and local politics, as part of the DemConvention State Blogger Corps. More than 400 blogs applied for the program. And they’re incredible. Some blogs are the work of dedicated groups of activists, a few are full-time professional endeavors, and many others are the products of busy individuals blogging about local politics in their free time. Those selected to be part of our State Blogger Corps were announced today. And in every case, these bloggers have become experts on the political happenings in their states.

You’ll see a list below of the 55 blogs that will comprise the State Blogger Corps. They’ll be seated with their respective delegations at the Convention. These bloggers will have some of the best seats in the house and they’ll be the eyes and ears of local audiences online around the country. DNC Chairman Howard Dean recorded a message to introduce the program " so I’ll let him explain the rest.

Is one of your favorite blogs missing from the list? We had hundreds of great applicants and only a few spots. The Convention staff will work hard to be sure bloggers can cover the Convention from Denver or wherever they may be - with unprecedented access. And wait a few weeks. We’ll soon announce the Convention’s General Blogger Pool, an additional list of diverse blogs covering national politics, niche issues, and more state and local topics.

Congratulations to each blog selected for the State Blogger Corps. I’ll see you in Denver!

The DemConvention State Blogger Corps is listed below.
Hillary's Remarks at Charleston, WV Celebration Event
May 13, 2008
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/speech/view/?id=7692

Thank you, West Virginia.

You know, like the song says: "it's almost heaven," and I am so grateful for this overwhelming vote of confidence.

There are some who have wanted to cut this race short. They say "give up, it's too hard, the mountain is too high," but here in West Virginia, you know a thing or two about rough roads to the top of the mountain. We know from the Bible that faith can move mountains and, my friends, the faith of the Mountain State has moved me. I am more determined than ever to carry on this campaign until everyone has had a chance to make their voices heard.

I want to commend Senator Obama and his supporters. This continues to be a hard-fought race, from one end of our country to the other. And yes, we've had a few dust-ups along the way, but our commitment to bring America new leadership that will renew America’s promise means that we have always stood together on what is most important.

Now, tonight I need your help to continue this journey. We are in the homestretch. There are only three weeks left in the final contests, and your support can make the difference between winning and losing. So I hope you'll go to HillaryClinton.com [ http://HillaryClinton.com ] and support our campaign.

You've heard this before - there are many who wanted to declare a nominee before the ballots were counted or even cast. Some said our campaign was over after Iowa, but then we won New Hampshire. Then we had big victories on Super Tuesday and in Ohio and Texas and Pennsylvania, and of course, we came from behind to win in Indiana.

So, this race isn't over yet. Neither of us has the total delegates it takes to win and both Senator Obama and I believe that the delegates from Florida and Michigan should be seated. I believe we should honor the votes cast by 2.3 million people in those states and seat all of their delegates. Under the rules of our party, when you include all 50 states, the number of delegates needed to win is 2,209, and neither of us has reached that threshold yet. This win in West Virginia will help me move even closer.

Democrats.org has a post called "82 Percent Say U.S. on "Wrong Track"" that's worth checking out...

In the latest ABC News/Washington Post opinion poll, 82 percent of Americans say the country is on the wrong track as President Bush hit an all-time low in the poll. The poll findings are bad news for the McCain campaign, which is running on a simple platform of four more years of failed Bush policies.
Obama Campaign Caught Cheating in Indiana -- Illegal Electioneering at Precinct (ABC)
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/05/electionjournal.html

We noticed an Obama volunteer set-up directly across from the voter check-in table actively courting voters. The sign read OBAMA FOR AMERICA. She would not identify herself and directed us to call the campaign for information.

This is against the rules. Where were the board of elections and poll workers? They should have removed the signs and asked the people who brought in the signs to exit and stay at least 10 feet from the door.

PA-05: McCracken for Congress -- Progress Report -- May 12, 2008

Unity is the Key in 2008: As I've been meeting with people since the primary election, I can tell that Democratic voters in the 5th district are unifying behind our campaign and identifying with our message. Before the primary election, I felt certain if the Democratic candidates made our campaigns about the important issues and trusted the voters to make their choice on election day, it would be easy for Democrats to unite behind the winner for the general election campaign.

Many documented dead in food riots. Al Gore's contribution? You decide.

Ya''at'eeh!
Done with my school work for the day, now I get down to Buisiness of the real issues.

Some people trade off American lives for oil profits, others are trading lives of humans, for profits in the Bio Fuel Industry.

Does that make them better since they are not sacrificing American lives for Bio fuel profit?

Food is scarce enough in Haiti, Indonesia, Africa Afghanistan, South and Central America. to cause rioting in those countries. Food is expensive enough everywhere, including the U.S., to cause consumers to worry about the future â" will the prices go even higher for eggs, milk, bread, meat, etc.?

Year over year, the price of rice is up 10 percent, a loaf Press reports indicate that warehouse stores are rationing rice and flour.

We are being racked up the wall., how will we afford food in the future? Will there be enough food at any price?

Will food riots come to your mine and our neighborhood markets?

If you live on the wrong side of the tracks, they definitely will.

The have's will not have a worry in the world.
None of the Have's do in the latter mentioned countries.
What is your status Quo in America, a Have or a Have not?

Is Al Gore on the level? or is it his excuse to make a little money on the side at the expense of human life?

Will Ted Turner's prophecy of "cannibalism" come true?
It already happens in some countries.

Did Al Gore take it. It's an "Inconvenient Truth," says Al, "that the gasoline that runs our cars is ruining the planet, causing global warming."
Wow! Al is quite the Rock Star.
He will save Mother Earth, justifying control of the over population in the world. In several countries they already have due to deadly riots. Thousands die everyday due to famine, now Al contributes to starving more people. I guess it is OK, as long as it is not American Citizens for now. Is there the slightest possibility Al Does not know he is contributing to genocide?

I wonder how Al Gore's Stock portfolio looks?

Does he have major investments in Bio Fuel industry corporations?

Al Gore is a democrat, but if there is reason to question, let it be. I put human life before partizan loyalty.
Do you value loyalty to a member of the party over human Life? I do not lose sleep over that question, I know where I stand.
