Yes, I believe blacks do believe in equal right for gays. They believe in the right to fair housing, wages, oppurnitity and a host of other rights. Some believe in civil unions and other believes in the holy right of marriage. They are not a sperate voting block either way, just like all other Amercians.
The failure we saw in California was a fundamentally flawed strategy not to include blacks, assumimg like the democratic/republican party that no one needs to.A little campaigning may have helped. Also, to assume that blacks will equate their history of racism in America, which was primarily based on their chareterisct, with the plight of gays, based on primarily on their actions is ludricius. Gays have been treated unfairly, however, in my opninion, this treatment doesn't come close to the plight of blacks in this country . Futhermore, I didn't know some were gay until i found out later. I knew you were black the moment I saw you.

I'm probably the only person walking who thinks the label "Joe sixpack" is deraguarotory. To me Joe sixpack is a male who stops by the gas station to pick up a sixpack of beer for the drive home. When his wife gets home he's either drinking and working or on the couch drunk. Some would say he works out, but I beg to differ.
Now Joe the plumber is different. He could either be self employed or work for a company. The self employed one's usally work under the table(not all do) and has stong views about politics, who probably votes republican. McCain is commanding the discussion about voter fraud . We need to switch the strategy back to this banking failure. Keep tying Mcain to the finical probmels of today with the Keating fisaco. Votwer fraud could be discuss in talking about the hanging chads
After all has been said and done we may have to go back to Rev Wright's sermon. According to Wright and the News media today, race is and always will be a factor in America. According to some pundits, if Barack was non-white he would be twenty points ahead in the polls. Compare that with this statement made by the Rev, non-white kids sitting next to white kids in school were told that they weren't as smart and were giving lesser scores by they non-white teachers to prove it, although they performed as well, if not better. This is exactly what some of today's voter have done. Althought Barack has pass the Presidential threshold by any standard measureable Barack still face difficult getting past his color. Sara Palin who failed to even meet debate standards, was held by some as the smartest girl we've ever met. The anwers why is is is? Futhermore, Palin and McCain audience are hurling racial insults and shooting terriorist, as if the word terrorist is owned by anyone who is non-white. What a vagarant disregard of history. Barack as we know, will prove to be one of the greatest president's ever and we will look back in time and wonder why did it take so long?
In 93-94 Old Boy John voted against legislation to protect American abortion clinics from terrorist bombing. His veiws are similar to the veiws of the Army of God terriorist group.
Sara palin likes to fly over and shoot helpless animals living in the wild. At the end of the day she calls it a sport. I call it one step from Micheal Vicks, who loves to torture animals . The only difference is that she has the law behind her and wolves aren't in the same family loving catergory as dogs. How can a nurting female has such cruel tendencies against other animals? So who loves animals the most Vicks or Palin
Sara Palin has two big moments in this elecetion: The convention and this debate. Sara delivered with the convention and the queastion remains is will she deliver with the Palin/Biden debate. I have a few thoughts.
Palin will deliver becuause the McCain camp has played strategy. McCain's camp wanted Palin to appear as a dim-wit and the media followed. Palin will come off tonight as a shinning star and the poll numbers may reflect it.
What the barack camp will need to do is counter-act this argument that she is a politician with debate experince and that Palin was playing a game to appear as what she is not just to win the election and not focus on issues.

Not so far in the distanced past politicians talked about balancing the budget and what would happen if we didn't. Most jumped of the train when it came to doing something about it. Some even went so far as to believing that de-regulating organizations that serve the public interest would lead to more surplus. They were at the least misguided. We are now in a banking crisis caused by those lending practices. We know Barack will tackle balancing the budget again and work on reducing the defecit so that organization like banks can thrive again.
The Dow is up because McCain dropped in the polls.
Barack needs to get passionate and say to those voters as Bill Clinton said " I feel you pain."

McCain's TV ads intentionally put out misleadinging and sensational "like" advertising even when the trurth comes out, believing that lies somehow connect with hockey moms.
He is worst than Bush when it comes to setting timelines for troop withdrawal. He flat out refuses.
He takes a traditonal saying such as"lipstick on a bull" and make it a sexist comment even after seeing himself on TV often using the phrase, doing this to manipulate female voters. He persuaded Palin to always act as a Bully and this this somehow equates to power even when being firm and strong would do. Palin sounds so scripted that it reminds me of a Saturday night live show. She talks about change but has bought into the MCCain tactics of believing that voters are not mature enough to make informed decesions but will latch on to sensational story lines and baises.

Patritism is Amercia is define by both symbols and action .I can't for the life of myself understand why the republican -led goverment cannot find the time and money to rebuild another Twin Tower like structure. This structure repersented more than wearing the lapel pin. It repersented power, prestige and everthing American. To fight over who is wearing what pen and to let New York remains unbuilt is UNAMERICAN
John McCain needs to help answer why after all these year the Twin Towers are have not been rebulit. It's was a symbol of our sucess. The republican-led country can support "Building a Bridge to No-where" but can't rebuild a treasured piece of history.

Some in the Media is questioning why Sara. If change is the winning message, than what are my option in this persanilty based election: a black male I dont know or the white soccer mom i live with and has a level of confortability and familirazation being one of the is the most alluring factor to her
Some on the right and especially those on talk radio keep pushing how bad the media is treating Sara. They claim that this level of vetting has never been done before and that this criticsm is unfair. What the right hopes to do is keep talking about how badly Sara is being treated in order to create a blacklash from the Amercian people, especially white females. According to some on talk radio there will be a well known democratic come out and say how badly Sara is being mistreated in order to help set-up the next four years. They believe that in the short run this may help McCain get elected but play into thier ambitions.
What we as democrats need to do is balance why the right wants to keep the drama alive that Sara is being mistreated with not leeting Sara off the hook and continuing to run around the country dropping bombs on Barack
